Many of the artists themselves have endured this persecution first-hand.

Upon learning of the situation, passersby condemned the CCP's actions.
  • Germany: Protesting the CCP's Interference with Shen Yun Performances in Hong Kong

    In Munich, Falun Gong practitioners protested peacefully in front of the Chinese Consulate on January 24. Shen Yun Performing Arts was scheduled to give seven shows in Hong Kong, but three days before their departure, the Hong Kong immigration department informed the hosting organisation that they refused to issue visas to six essential production staff members.

    Ms. Hao has been rising awareness about the human rights abuses against Falun Gong at a mountain resort in Europe to help tourists from China understand the truth and quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organisations. As it turned colder and colder, fewer tourists came to the resort. However, many Chinese tourists still went to Ms. Hao to quit the CCP and its affiliates.
  • Poland: Promoting Falun Dafa in Lodz

    On January 23 and 24, several Falun Gong practitioners from Poland visited the second largest city, Lodz, to introduce Falun Dafa. Practitioners set up display boards and passed out flyers on Piotrkowska Street, telling people of the beauty of Falun Gong and exposing the brutal persecution against Falun Gong in China.

    On January 16, 2010, the Swiss branch of the International Society for Human Rights (IGFM) granted its 2009 Human Rights Award to Canada's human rights lawyer David Matas and Canada's former Secretary of State for the Asia Pacific region, David Kilgour, in recognition of their efforts in investigating the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners.

    People from all walks of life in Sweden are showing great concern after hearing that Shen Yun Performing Arts was forced to cancel all seven of its shows in Hong Kong because the Hong Kong Immigration Department denied entry visas to six key members of the Shen Yun production staff. People pointed out that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is up to its old tricks again.

Practitioners in Scotland held a similar protest in front of the Chinese Consulate in Edinburgh on January 24.

Though the visa requests for the travelling group were already made in October, on January 22, the Hong Kong Immigration Department has denied entry visas of seven of the company's core production team members, leaving the organizers with no choice but to cancel the shows in Hong Kong."

The protest was to condemn the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for forcing the cancellation of seven sold-out Shen Yun Performing Arts shows in Hong Kong due to start on 27th January.

  • Romania: Truth-Compassion-Forbearance International Art Exhibition Held in Busteni

    From December 10 2009, International Human Rights Day, until December 13, 2009, the Truth-Compassion-Forbearance Art Exhibition was held in the art gallery of the Hotel Silva in Busteni, a well known resort in Prahova Valley in the Carpati Mountains. Four television channels and several newspaper all reported on the exhibition.
