55-Year-Old Jiangsu Province Practitioner Ms. Yang Meizhen Tortured to Death

55-year-old practitioner Ms. Yang Meizhen was from Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province. She suffered from persecution by police numerous times because she would not give up Falun Gong. In October 2002, she was sentenced for 4 years of "re-education through forced labour" and tortured to the brink of death. Although she was sent home she died from torture on July 22, 2004. -
More Information About the Murder of Falun Gong Practitioner Duan Shiqiong in Chengdu City Detention Centre
2004-10-02On September 16, 2003, Falun Gong practitioner Ms Duan Shiqiong was killed in a Chengdu City detention centre. When her husband was asked by the police to identify her body, he found that the body of his deceased wife was replaced with the body of an unknown woman in an attempt to cover up the fact that she was murdered. It has been one year since Falun Gong practitioner Duan Shiqiong was killed, yet her body still has not been found. The local authorities and police continue to persecute and create difficulties for her husband, and he cannot find justice. -
Further Details on Practitioner Mr Zhao Mingxiang's Death in Shandong Province
2004-10-02Zhao Mingxiang, from a village near Pingdu City, is a practitioner who was tortured to death. He was 46 years old. The local people all knew he was a good person. Because of his belief in Falun Gong, Qingdao City Public Security Bureau issued a warrant for his arrest. In order to avoid arrest he had been homeless for four years. On December 30, 2003, he died next to a haystack in a village. According to the villagers who saw his body, Zhao Mingxiang was wearing only one shoe and had no belt. (It is a police station rule to remove a detainee's belt). He was still breathing when he was found but died between 9 and 10 a.m. -

2004-10-02Striking a Metal Bucket Placed over the HeadIn May 2002, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Hou Zhiqiang was abducted and taken to a detention centre by police officers disguised as fellow practitioners. During his detention, Hou was interrogated many times, and even tortured. A metal bucket was place over his head, and several police officers struck the bucket with wooden clubs, which caused deafening noises and vibrations. After receiving this torture several times, Mr. Hou often suffered from spasms over his entire body during sleep. -

After July 22, 1999, Tian Baobin kept cultivating Falun Dafa, was sent to a labour camp and died by torture in the Changlinzi Labour Camp! The doctor in hospital said to his family that he died of a brain stem hemorrhage, but normally this kind of patient would have a pinkish brain, whereas Mr. Tian's brain was severely bruised and purple black in colour. -

2004-10-01The Qingyang District People's Hospital in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province has taken the initiative to systematically kill nearly ten Falun Gong practitioners by mistreatment. The hospital continues to illegally torment a number of practitioners. The responsibility of the hospital should be to heal the wounded and rescue the dying. However, Jiang's faction uses political influence, enticements of promotion, huge bonuses, etc. to intimidate and lead the cadres, doctors and nurses of the hospital. The hospital is thus compelled to follow the evil intentions of the Jiang regime, systematically persecuting illegally detained Falun Gong practitioners and killing them by "subtle means." -

2004-10-01Mr. Wang Xuxiong was lured to a forced brainwashing class in Guizhou Province and subjected to torture because he courageously stepped out to protest the persecution of practitioners in the area. Mr. Wang Xuxiong had practised Falun Gong in the past so he knew the fact that Falun Gong is a good practice. The torture and injustice eventually led him to jump out of the building and subsequently fracture his feet. -
Falun Gong Practitioner Pan Qichu from Jiangxi Province Tortured to Death in 2003
2004-09-30Mr. Pan Qichu was a 45-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Yichun City, Jiangxi Province. He was a very strong man in good health. Around May 20, 2003, police of Yichun City Police Department arrested him. He was put into a detention centre. On June 2, 2003, he was persecuted to death. The details of his death are being investigated. -
A Letter from Dalian City Forced Labour Camp Reveals Persecution Facts
2004-09-30From October 27 to November 10, 2003, the head of Division No. 8 went to an annual meeting held in Changsha City, to discuss the systematic persecution of steadfast Falun Gong practitioners. The persecutors exchanged abuse, mistreatment, torment, and torture methods at the meeting and discussed how to best force practitioners to give up their beliefs. After he returned to the labour camp he implemented and directed policies to systematically brainwash more than twenty steadfast practitioners by group and by session. Practitioners were often subjected to violence, corporal punishment, and forced to endure various torture instruments. -

They put a wooden stick wrapped with a towel to his mouth and tighten it to his neck with ropes. Prison guards sometimes insert the end of a stick into a practitioner's mouth and agitate it forcefully to cause pain and injury. Then they apply concentrated salt solution to his mouth to torture him. It is extremely painful. -
Chaoyanggou Forced Labour Camp in Jilin Province Pulled Out Falun Dafa Practitioner's Toenails with Pliers
2004-09-30Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Pan Wei from Nong'an County, Jilin Province, was abducted by the local police station in 2002 and then sent to Chaoyanggou Forced Labour Camp for one and a half years. Changle Forced Labour Camp Extorts Money from Falun Dafa Practitioners
2004-09-30Changle Forced Labour Camp charges Falun Dafa practitioners 30 yuan per day per person, plus their lodgings at 60 yuan per day per person. Falun Dafa practitioners must also pay ten yuan each day for their extremely poor food. In total, the cost for each practitioner is 250 yuan per day. Up to 13 Falun Dafa practitioners are being force-brainwashed at any given time, bringing in approximately 3,000 yuan per day for the labour camp from this brainwashing centre. -

2004-09-29Two police claiming to be responsible for the security in my area also came to visit. One of them kept telling me: Why are you practising Falun Gong? Why not practise something else? While he was talking, he kept searching my household. I realized I would be arrested when I saw that the road we were taking wasn't the way to my office. They took me to the Third Affiliated Hospital (a mental hospital) of Beijing Medical School. I tried to escape, but they guarded all the car doors. Four men (two police, my colleague and my husband) each took hold of my limbs and carried me into the hospital hallway. I struggled to try to free myself. I cried out: "I am a Falun Gong practitioner. I am not a mental patient." -
Practitioners Brutally Tortured in Detention Centre in Hebei Province
2004-09-29In the morning the prison guards forced the practitioners into the passageway and made them kneel down. One of the guards, Liu, in his 30's, lashed them one by one with a belt. Two practitioners were then called to come out of the yard gate. The director of the detention centre suddenly kicked them down onto a steep slope head first. Four criminal prisoners came up and restrained the practitioners by their hands so that they could not move at all. The director was kicking one practitioner's forehead while two criminal prisoners forced a meter-long steel pipe into the practitioner's mouth. They did the same thing to the other practitioner. Their mouths were horribly damaged.
