  • Mr. Xu Yibao, 43, Dies as a Result of Abuse

    On October 6th, 2006, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Xu Yibao, 43, from Hebei Province died as a result of the abuse he received during the persecution. Before he died he recounted his experience: "In July 2002, I was sentenced to five years in prison for no reason. Guards cursed me viciously, threatened me constantly, and tried to force me to do things against my will, such as writing a guarantee statement to renounce Falun Dafa. They encouraged prisoners to beat my hands until they were swollen. One prisoner lifted a wooden bench high, and smashed it down on my lower back. My body was severely damaged through this abuse."
  • Elderly Ms. Cheng Linghui from Hunan Province Dies as a Result of Persecution

    69-year-old Ms. Cheng Linghui went to Beijing in January 2001 to appeal for Dafa and she was sentenced to one year of forced labour. To protest her innocence she refused to wear the inmate's uniform so guards hung her from an iron rail, exposing her to the hot sun. She was arrested again in May 2005. Enduring long-term persecution caused Ms. Cheng Linghui tremendous physical and emotional suffering. She died on August 17th, 2006.

    At 12:25 a.m. on August 16th, 2006, a car accident took place inside the freight terminal of Changsha South Train Station in Changsha, Hunan Province. It was a horrible scene. The victim's body was crushed from head to toe. The bone of her right leg fractured, penetrating the flesh. The bone and the flesh were separated. There were large puddles of blood at the scene. A baby girl of a few months old was thrown onto a pile of sand. Four of her ribs were fractured. There were wounds all over the baby girl's body. The driver fled the scene. According to the investigators, the driver must have driven over the victim's body repeatedly until she died.
  • Four Practitioners from Liaoning, Hebei and Sichuan Provinces Are Persecuted to Death

    Mr. Ma Zhenting passed away unjustly on July 10th, 2003. He was only 53 years old. His wife said with grief, "He still weighed 178 pounds before he was abducted and taken to the brainwashing class, and everyone knew that he was healthy. Jiang Zemin murdered my husband." The three members of his family were also persecuted so severely by Jiang's regime that their family broke up, just because they believed in the principles of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" and tried to be good people.
  • Ms. Hua Yuli from Tianjin City, 39, Tortured to Death

    In May 2005 Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Hua Yuli, 39, was arrested by plainclothes police officers, detained at the local detention centres. Her family was not allowed to visit her until the end of January 2006, when she was dying and was released to receive medical treatment. She was very weak as a result of being tortured in the detention centres, and her mind was not clear. Her family sent her to the hospital, where she died on June 9th, 2006.

    In the First Labour Camp, there was another vicious policeman named Xia. He directed inmates to employ persecution methods including forcing practitioners to run for a long time until they are exhausted, forcing them to sit straight up on the legs of an upside-down bench without moving at all, force-feeding practitioners who were on hunger strikes with water and hot chilli pepper, and forcing the practitioners to hop around like frogs until exhausted. He also forced practitioners to press their heads against the sharp edge of the wall until there was a deep dent on the top of their heads.
  • 67-Year-Old Dafa Practitioner Mr. Qin Wenbin from Jiangsu Province Dies from Persecution

    In July 20th, 1999, the former Chinese Communist Party leader, Jiang Zemin, started to publicly persecute Dafa. Mr. Qin Wenbin was monitored, his home was unlawfully searched and he was otherwise harassed. In early March 2001, police officers arrested him because he was allegedly involved in printing materials that explained the truth about Falun Dafa. He was later brutally persecuted by police officers who did not allow Qin to sleep or drink for 19 days. In December 2001, Qin Wenbin was sentenced to nine years in prison and released on medical parole. On July 17, 2006, he passed away tragically.
  • Who Is Responsible for Ms. Liu Kun’s Death?

    Ms. Liu has been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party's various operational departments, the neighbourhood administrative office, and the residential commission. From 2000 to 2002, she was detained in the Longshan Forced Labour Camp and the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp in Liaoning Province. She was brutally tortured for a long time. Her face and entire body swelled up after being forced to sleep on the cement floor for a long time. She couldn’t open her eyes or mouth. Ms. Liu endured physical, mental and financial persecution for an extensive period of time, and her health deteriorated and so Ms. Liu Kun passed away.
  • My 80-year-old Mother Died of Grief after the Police Lied to Her and Refused to Let Her See Me in Detention Three Times

    On February 4th, 2003, police burst into my home, raided it and sent me to a detention centre. I was imprisoned in this hell on earth for about half a year. During this period, my 80-year-old mother was left alone by herself without anyone to take care of her. My mother visited the police station to ask for my release. Police shouted insults at her and said "You have no hope of seeing your daughter, so there is no need for you to come back." On another occasion they said to her, ""Since your daughter practises Falun Gong, she refuses to acknowledge her family. She does not want you as her mother." After my mother returned home, she was so upset that she cried every day and became critically ill. She died soon after.
  • Mr. Li Yuzhang from Heilongjiang Province, 58, Dies as a Result of Persecution

    On September 23rd, 2005, more than ten policemen surrounded 58-year-old Mr. Li Yuzhang's home, ransacked it, arrested him, and took him to the police station and not given anything to eat for four days.. He was sent to a detention centre and was not able to walk steadily. His condition worsened when he was sent to the Suihua Labour Camp in March 2006. He had difficulty walking, and his abdomen was swollen. He told the camp administration that he could not work, but guards said that he had to provide doctor's orders to be excused from labour. He was dying by August 2006 so he was allowed to go to hospital. Only He died on October 5th, 2006.
  • Mr. Wu Liantie Dies after being Brutally Force-Fed - Torture in Panjin Prison Continues

    Practitioner Mr. Wu Liantie was held in Panjin Prison. He began a hunger strike between April and May 2006, protesting the abuse he received from the guard Wang Kuizhong, who brutally beat him. Wang Kuizhong ordered inmates to force-feed Mr. Wu, causing massive bleeding in the upper and lower intestines and a high fever. He was sent to the prison hospital seven days later. Mr. Wu was dead on arrival at the hospital. On May 24th 2006, the Panjin Prison notified Mr. Wu's family.
  • Four Practitioners Die as a Result of Persecution in Hunan, Liaoning, Heilongjiang and Hebei Provinces

    On October 25th, 2000, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Ping, 60, went to Beijing to appeal, and was arrested on Tiananmen Square. She was picked up by local police, detained in Deshan Detention Centre for 24 days, and had 3,000 yuan extorted from her. She was closely monitored, threatened, and her home was ransacked. Her husband (also a practitioner) has been detained four times, and is now serving a three year term in Jin City Prison. After December 2005, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials kept coming to her door to harass her, hiding nearby day and night, and causing her liver and gallbladder disease to worsen. She died on July 4th, 2006.
  • An Open Letter to the Outside World from Practitioners Detained in the Second Prison in Shenyang City

    In May 2003, practitioner Huang Gang received strict treatment for doing the exercises. While there, he was beaten by inmates specified by guards. They opened his arms, stuck both his hands in two iron rings attached to the wall, and hung him up. At night, they tortured him with other tools. They held him down on the ground, handcuffed him with iron rings, and tightened them around his wrists. Each iron ring has an iron chain. They held both of his arms over his head, then stretched the two iron chains, causing his body to be stretched very straight and then they secured the chains to the wall. This torture lasted 17 to 18 hours and was extremely painful.
  • Persecution-Related Deaths of 17 Falun Gong Practitioners Verified in September 2006

    Ms. Chen Suxiang, 50, was arrested on September 12th, 2006 for distributing leaflets exposing the persecution and savagely beaten for a whole day and night. The next day her family went to the police station to request her release and saw the injuries on her lower back, behind her ears, her eyes were bruised and swollen, and there were bruises on her legs. When she went to the toilet she went into a coma and died.
  • Several Practitioners in Henan, Hunan, Hubei and Liaoning Provinces Die as a Result of the Persecution

    68-year-old Mr. Mo Dechu was a practitioner from Hunan Province. He previously had many illnesses. When he learned Falun Dafa his illnesses got much better. After July 20th 1999, he was monitored, threatened, and intimidated by the authorities. He appealed for Dafa in 2000 and was detained by the police many times. The lawless people went to his home to subject him to brainwashing, and forbade him from practising Falun Gong. Mo Dechu passed away on October 20th, 2003.
