Following Severe Torture Elderly Shandong Province Dafa Practitioner Mr. Li Huaiqing Harassed to Death by "610 Office"

On December 29, 2001, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Huaiqing, a retired teacher, was abducted and taken to Ningjin County Detention Centre. After his release, he was hospitalized for his poor health due to the torture suffered in the detention centre. Even though he was in the hospital, local "610 Office"* officials often harassed him. After his release from the hospital, these lawless people made his recovery impossible by their continuous harassment. Mr. Li died in August of 2003 -
Heilongjiang Province Police Torture to Death Two Falun Gong Practitioners
2004-02-27Ms. Liu Xin, 40 years old, was a teacher at the Dasizhan Town Middle School. She was sent to the county detention centre where she was traumatized both physically and mentally. Her whole body swelled up and she was very close to death. Under strong protest from her family (it was said that her husband paid Sun Chengyi several thousand yuan), she was released home. After returning home, she was continuously harassed by her workplace and the local police station. She passed away on August 23, 2001. -
Sixty Year Old Guizhou Province Dafa Practitioner Mr. Sun Faxiang Tortured to Death Two Years Ago
2004-02-27Falun Dafa practitioner, Mr. Sun Faxiang from Guizhou Province was tortured to death in 2002. He had previously been arrested on January 25, 2002, together with his wife because they were both persistent in cultivating Dafa. On this occasion they were detained for one month. Mr. Sun was locked in an icy cold small cell while running a fever of 39-40oC (102-104oF). Police forced him to go to the train station to see if any Falun Dafa practitioners went to appeal to Beijing. He resisted their demands and was tortured to death. -
Ms. Yu Xiuqing Suffers Nervous Breakdown in Masanjia Labour Camp then Passes Away
2004-02-27Ms. Yu Xiuqing was 47 years old. She went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa in October 2000 and was arrested. Police sent her to Lingyuan City Detention Centre, then onto Masanjia Labour Camp at the beginning of November 2000. Yu suffered a nervous breakdown because she was tortured in the labour camp. Who can really know the agony and terrifying torment that this lady must have endured in the dark den of Masanjia Labour Camp? -
Mr. Liu Zhichen Dies as Result of Horrendous Torture in Yinmahe Labour Camp
2004-02-26Dafa Practitioner Mr. Liu Zhichen of Dehui City, Jilin Province was detained at the Yinmahe Forced Labour Camp in 2002. He was released on February 6, 2003. Due to the long term persecution he suffered while in the forced labour camp, his health was in poor condition when he returned home. Still, the local police continued to harass him and illegally searched his home. His family did not have any peace. At the age of 32 years old, Liu died in Dehui City Hospital on October 7, 2003. This is another crime the Jiang Zemin's regime has committed towards an innocent Falun Gong practitioner. -
The Death of Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Zhang Xuefeng
2004-02-26During her two-year incarceration in the Duoba Forced Labour Camp, Ms. Zhang Xuefeng was forcefully administered drugs damaging to her central nervous system, and thus became mentally deranged. She passed away within a year of being released. The day she died, Public Security officers tried to shift responsibility to Falun Gong. Her mother responded, "She was persecuted to death! She practised Falun Gong for several years and had always been healthy. Why did she become mentally deranged after she was released from the forced labour camp?" They fled without a reply. -
Supplemental Information Regarding the Death of Practitioner Ms. Xu Yunfeng of Chongqing City
2004-02-26Before the barbaric force-feeding which was to lead to her eventual death, a policeman in the Jinkou brainwashing centre said to Ms. Xu Yunfeng, "What does it matter if we beat a Falun Gong practitioner to death? The death of Falun Gong practitioners is nothing. At present time only Jiang Zemin's orders count. Even though Falun Gong is good, there is nothing we can do. Jiang Zemin has said that if a Falun Gong practitioner is beaten to death, we will use the story as propaganda and broadcast on CCTV" -
In Memory of Professor Piao Shihao, Who Died as a Result of Persecution (Photo)
2004-02-23Professor Piao was a good man with great virtue. He taught many outstanding students and had many academic achievements. But such a good person was subjected to such inhumane persecution by Jiang Zemin's group until, in the end, he died in the Yanji Detention Centre with no legal recourse, simply because he believed in Falun Dafa and Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance. -
Retired Teacher Ms. Zhang Shuzhen from Beijing Died from Injection of Toxic Substance
2004-02-21According to a February 13, 2004 report from the Falun Dafa Information Center, persons at the Qinghe Forced Labour Camp in Beijing had infused the 51-year-old retired teacher Ms. Zhang Shuzhen with a toxic substance for refusing to give up her Falun Gong practice. The infusion led to violent stomach pains. -
Shijiazhuang City Dafa Practitioner Mrs. Liu Xing Dies from Extreme Torture Suffered in Labour Camp
2004-02-20After she returned home, the police station and street office still kept close watch on her. Her work unit also stopped her salary and her husband's salary, causing great financial difficulty and mental pressure to the couple. On January 26, 2004, Liu Xing passed away. Her husband was also arrested and is suffering torments in Baoding First Prison in Hebei Province. -
Mourning the Death of Practitioner Ms. Li Shuqin
2004-02-20During the frenzied police arrests I returned to Changchun City and was forced to rent a house. My husband was not happy with me and asked me to write the so-called three statements promising not to practise Falun Dafa. I firmly rejected his suggestion. Ms. Li Shuqin gave me all her support and encouragement. She also taught me how to help my husband to accept my practice of Falun Dafa, and gave me our Teacher's new articles. I was very much moved by this. -
Five More Confirmed Deaths of Falun Gong Practitioners From Three Provinces in Northeastern China
2004-02-20The persecution of Falun Gong is most severe in these three provinces in northeastern China. According to statistics from the Clearwisdom website, among the 876 confirmed deaths, 346 were from northeastern provinces. This is more than one third of the total number of deaths. Among the 346 cases, 138 victims were from Helongjiang Province, 110 were from Jilin Province, and 98 were from Liaoning Province. Based on the fact that the information about Mr. Song Gang, Mr. Liu Ming, and Mr. Wang Xidong's deaths did not come to light until four years after the fact, it makes sense to conclude that the death toll from this persecution instigated by Jiang Zemin's regime far exceeds 876. -

2004-02-20The prolonged mental and physical torture seriously damaged Yao Sanzhong's health. He was on the brink of death. The camp was afraid of the responsibilities they might have to face, so they processed Yao Sanzhong's bail for medical treatment in a hurry. Just several days before the bail was granted, Yao Sanzhong still had to force his extremely weak body to work until 2-3 a.m. with his numb and feeble hands. -
More Details Regarding the Death of Jilin Province Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Li Aiying
2004-02-18To avoid being subjected to their persecution again, Ms. Li tore a bed sheet, tied the pieces into a rope and attempted to lower herself to the ground. In the process she broke a fifth floor window and accidentally fell. Her ribs and internal organs were severely damaged as a result of the fall. Tragically she died. Her body was sent to the mortuary at 7:30 p.m. the same day, and she was cremated on December 6th, 2003. -
Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Peng Guangjun Beaten to Death by Police at the Beijing Tuanhe Labour Camp
2004-02-17Mr. Peng's head and body were black and purple. There were bloodstains. His face was covered with marks caused by electric shocks. Some of his bones were also fractured. Peng's family had thought to seek justice from the authorities, however, they were frightened by the representative, who threatened them by saying, "If you don't follow the government's arrangements, we will have your whole family lose their jobs and go broke. You will have no way to survive."
