2001-12-09Two practitioners, Liu Hongchun and Wang Jicai, who were unlawfully detained at the Benxi Forced Labor Camp, were brutally beaten and afterwards subjected to physical torture everyday even though they were both very weak. In the midst of unbearable torture, the two practitioners fell down a staircase in October 2000 and July 2001 respectively. Liu Hongchun fractured his skull and injured his spine, which were huge blows to his health. Wang Jicai suffered a dislocation of his spine during his fall and to this day still finds it difficult to move. -

Furthermore, practitioners were subjected to various tortures, such as electric shocks and beatings. Many of them were seriously injured in the process. So far, family members of these practitioners have not been allowed to visit them, and the houses of these practitioners have been ransacked several times. -

2001-12-07The Masanjia Forced Labour Camp is a living hell. We practitioners illegally detained there were forced to work over 16 hours everyday. Sometimes we had to work 18 or 19 hours, and once, even up to 36 hours in a row. That was from March 7 to 12, 2000, when we were forced to make some products for export. That batch of products was waiting to be shipped overseas right away because the customer needed them in a hurry.
