Deaths of 98 More Falun Gong Practitioners Confirmed in July (Photos)

The genocidal persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and Jiang Zemin's group that began on July 20th 1999 has spanned six years. During those past six years, at least 2,739 Falun Gong practitioners have been tortured to death. These cases have been confirmed through independent channels. At least 98 additional deaths were verified in July 2005. Among these 98 deaths that were verified in July, 37 Falun Gong practitioners died between January and July 2005, and eight practitioners died in July. The demographics: 57 practitioners were women, representing 57% of the death toll; 47%, that is 46 practitioners, were older than 55 years. -
In Memory of Fellow Practitioner Jin Xiuqing
2005-08-20On June 29th 2005, thunderstorms swept across most of the southeastern regions in China, and rivers and lakes flooded furiously. Throughout central China, however, the scorching sun was hanging high, the vast land had turned into a giant inferno. On this particular day, she just left quietly without saying a single word, left this world, left her friends and relatives, and left this land that she loved so passionately. Without any justification, she died inside a small, damp, and sorrow-filled cell in the Beishan Detention Centre in Liaoning Province. She, Jin Xiuqing, was a 60-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner. -
How I Lost my Eyesight at Jilin Prison Due to Persecution
2005-08-20I was sentenced to four years of imprisonment in December 2003 and detained at the Jilin Prison. The prison guards tried to force me to give up practising Truth, Compassion, Forbearance. The most inhumane torture is called the death bed. The "bed" can be raised up. A person's four limbs would be tied to the bed. No one can stand it for ten minutes. Generally they would hang a practitioner on the "bed" for two to three minutes. They then asked the practitioner whether he or she would still practise Falun Gong. If the answer was a yes, they would hang him or her up again for another three to four minutes. Sometimes they repeated the torture four or more times. The person's muscles would be injured and he or she would become paralysed and lose the ability to walk. I suffered unbearable physical and mental tortures. My eyesight deteriorated badly, but the prison refused to release me on medical parole. They caused a delay until I completely lost my eyesight. -
Urgent Letter From Wang Xiuying's Disabled Husband, After She Was Abducted for the Fourth Time
2005-08-20"My wife, Wang Xiuying, is an employee at Xi'an Jiaotong University. Because she does not want to give up her belief in Falun Gong, she was abducted by a group of police from the 610 Offices. Her colleagues told me that she was carried away by the police, and that she is currently being subjected to brainwashing and mental torture at the Worker's Health Centre in Xi'an City. My wife is a very nice and honest person. Just because she practises Falun Gong, she has been abducted by the police many times and sent to detention centres and forced labour camps to be brainwashed for several months. She has been physically and mentally tortured in an inhumane way. Now my family is not like a family anymore." -
Savage Abuse of A Practitioner in His 60's in Sichuan Province Prison
2005-08-19The prison guards restrained Mr. Zhang on the punishment bed for about 20 days. Because his arms and legs were handcuffed to the metal bed he couldn't avoid the biting mosquitoes. His clothing was drenched with sweat, then dried and became soaked again, again and again. His clothing wasn't washed for three weeks. In order to reduce their sentences six or seven criminal prisoners insulted and tortured him at will. -
I Witnessed Ms. Gao Rongrong Being Tortured in Longshan Forced Labour Camp
2005-08-19 Ms. Gao didn't come out because of her bad health, so several team leaders forced her out. Female guard Liang Zhen shouted, "Handcuff her!" Tang Yubao took an electric baton and rushed at Ms. Gao. He grabbed her hair, pulled her out of bed and pushed her into the aisle. Before Ms. Gao was able to get her balance, Tang Yubao started to hit her face from both sides. He then grabbed her by her hair and hit her head against the table and the wall." -
Four Elderly Practitioners Die From Persecution in Hebei, Hunan and Jilin Provinces
2005-08-1960-year-old Mr. Dong Jinchang frequently suffered brutal torture and beatings at the detention centre. He was released only after his physical condition deteriorated severely and the centre officials were afraid that they would be held accountable. He never regained his health after returning home, and died around mid-July 2005. -
Five Practitioners from Hebei, Liaoning, and Sichuan Provinces Die Due to Persecution
2005-08-19Mr. Shi Peifeng lived in Liaoning Province. He started practising Falun Dafa in January 1998. He had kidney disease, which improved greatly after he practised Falun Dafa. After he went to Beijing to appeal on November 20th 1999, he was taken to the Longshan Brainwashing Centre and later transferred to the Fifth Detention Centre for further persecution. He was released after his parents were forced to pay a fine. Under the long-term persecution, his practice environment was severely sabotaged. In August 2003, his kidney disease returned. He was only 21 when he died on September 19th 2004. -
Ms. Ren Tingfang and Her Daughter Zhang Xiaohe Gansu Province Both Died As Result of Persecution in 2002
2005-08-18Under severe pressure Ms. Ren Tingfang was forced to become destitute and homeless in order to avoid being arrested at home from 2000 to 2002. After years of living under this persecution, by September of 2002 she weighed only around 80 lbs. Her physical condition worsened and she was only twenty-three when she passed away. -
Mr. Yue Huimin from Qiqihar City Dies from Torture Suffered in the Fuyu Labour Camp
2005-08-18Mr. Yue Huimin's health deteriorated, his body developed a scabies infection, he was emaciated, suffered with diabetes, had damage to the lower part of his brain and had developed hepatitis type B. He often fainted and did not sleep properly for more than a year. After two years of cruel torture, the Fuyu Labour Camp extended his term by two months. He was finally carried home while he was dying, nearly blind, his inner ears were infected and his whole body was swollen with dropsy. On March 18th 2005, Mr. Yue Huimin died in great agony. -
Li Huzhe from Yanji City Requires Constant Care After Being Persecuted in Jilin Province
2005-08-18Mr. Li Huzhe's body is now so extremely weak that he is unable to take care of himself. The police handcuffed and shackled him, pulling up his foot shackle and attaching it around his neck. In order to force him to give a confession, they tortured him by squeezing his body to the point where his neck was only fifteen centimetres away from his feet for a long period of time. He couldn't straighten himself at the waist. The police continuously tortured him for three days. During the three days, they didn't allow him to use the toilet, drink water, eat food, or sleep. -
Practitioner Ms. Li Shue Was Beaten by Prison Guards in the Jilin Province Women's Forced Labour Camp
2005-08-18Ms. Li Shue who is over 50 years old was kicked in the back, chest, arms and legs and was punched in the head until she could no longer move. She said, "The labour camp forces practitioners to work over 10 hours a day, pushing us to the limit." Due to the beating, persecution, and prolonged labour, Li is skinny and depressed. She is pale and cannot walk properly but is still forced to glue toy birds for over 10 hours everyday. -
At Least 85 Practitioners Tortured to Death in Weifang City in the Past Six Years
2005-08-17Jiang Zemin and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)cooperated in applying their genocidal policies against Falun Gong practitioners, who peacefully persist in their belief in Truth-Compassion-Forbearance. They achieved this by using the totalitarian government's machinery, including the police and the media. In the six years between July 20th 1999 and July 20th 2005, the CCP, in violation of the Chinese constitution and by breaking numerous laws, has monitored, abducted, detained, tortured, and brainwashed Falun Gong practitioners and has sent many of them to forced labour camps and prisons. According to the Clearwisdom website, the verified number of deaths by torture of Falun Gong practitioners is 2,711. At least 85 Falun Gong practitioners from Weifang City have been tortured to death. -
Practitioner Liu Yuhe from Jilin Province, Tortured on Tiger Bench and Force-fed Mustard Oil
2005-08-17Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Liu Yuhe was arrested and sent to Jiutai Forced Labour Camp. Whilst in captivity he had gone on a hunger strike to protest the unjust incarceration and been brutally force-fed. Liu Yuhe was force-fed with six bottles of mustard oil. This kind of torture can result various stomach diseases, stomach ulcers, etc. These tortures inflicted severe physical damage on him. He was also tortured with the "Tiger Bench" during interrogation. They made Liu Yuhe wear a metal helmet and then hit the helmet with a metal hammer continuously for four hours - this is called the "brain-shaking machine." This type of torture can leave people with severe physical impairment: quadriplegia, mental disorientation, concussion etc. -
Six Dafa Practitioners from Shandong, Liaoning, Jilin and Henan Provinces Persecuted to Death
2005-08-17Mr. Wang Liansheng, 37 years old, was a teacher in the elementary school attached to Nong'an County Normal College, Jilin Province and firmly practised Falun Dafa. In 2001, he went to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Dafa. After he was detained for more than 20 hours, he walked out of the police station openly and with dignity. When the education system made cuts at the end of 2001, he was not on the list to lose his job. However, because he practised Falun Gong, his school's leaders forced him to write the "three statements" to denounce Falun Gong. Otherwise, he would lose his job. The leaders went to his home many times to threaten and harass him. Because the mental pressure was too great for him and his wife compelled him to get a divorce, he suffered a mental collapse. He died on March 18th 2002.
