56 Year Old Dafa Practitioner Ms. Cao Jinling Dies as a Result of Persecution in the Fuxin Forced Labour Camp

Ms. Cao Jinling, a 56 year old farmer from Liaoning Province went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa and was illegally detained in the female division of the Fuxin Forced Labour Camp. During her period, she was forced to do heavy labour, which led to long term, prolonged bleeding. In September 2001 she was released. However the bleeding continued and was diagnosed to be in the late stages of cervical cancer. She passed away on June 17, 2004. -
Comprehensive Report: 165 Death Cases Reported in the First Half of 2004, 75 of These Died This Year
2004-07-27According to data obtained from the Clearwisdom.net, in the first half-year of 2004, 165 cases of Falun Dafa practitioners dying as a result of persecution were confirmed through nongovernmental channels. Among these cases, 75 practitioners were tortured to death. In total, from July 20, 1999, when Jiang Zemin's and his followers started to brazenly persecute Falun Dafa, to June 30, 2004, 998 Falun Dafa practitioners are confirmed to have died as a result of persecution. -
Some Details about the Persecution Suffered by the Late Dafa Practitioner Han Zhenju
2004-07-27"After reading the article "Death of Han Zhenju from persecution by Kaiping Labour Camp in Tangshan City", I am putting down here details of some of the inhuman conditions at the various camps that led to his death. Although the guards there knew very well that Han had a history of cardiac problems, they still used high voltage electric batons, as well as other torturing devices on him. Han refused to take food for another 50 or more days to protest against the officers for taking away his Dafa books and the notes he wrote about the persecution. Finally, on May 15, 2004, Han collapsed and died from the persecution he was subjected to." -
Dafa Practitioners Zhao Ming, Zhao Liang and their Mother From Huludao City Suffer Persecution
2004-07-27Dafa practitioner Zhao Liang and his eldest brother Zhao Ming were sentenced to one year of forced labour on July 26, 2000, and were sent to the Huludao labour camp. They were cruelly beaten and tortured in the labour camp. Zhao Liang had his sentence extended four months because he was firm in his belief in Dafa. After he was released in November 2001, the police still didn't stop harassing him, so he had no choice but to leave home to avoid unlawful arrest and further persecution. -
Mr. Dong Dejun from Jilin Province Dies after Brutal Beating in Labour Camp
2004-07-2661 year old Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Dong Dejun, lived in Jilin Province. Mr. Dong was arrested and brought to the Yinmahe Labour Camp in Jiutai on March 27 2002, where within only two days he was beaten until he was physically disabled. His nervous system was damaged and he could no longer take care of himself. After experiencing pain from the torture for over 800 days and nights, he tragically passed away on June 27, 2004. -
Brutality at the Harbin Female Prison: 60 Year Old Qu Jie Tortured to Death
2004-07-26Ms. Qu Jie was a practitioner from Heilongjiang Province. She was a retired worker around 60 years old. Because she firmly cultivated Falun Dafa, she was arrested in late April 2002 and later sentenced to four years in prison. Recently Ms. Qu was tortured to death at the Harbin Female Prison in Heilongjiang Province. The details of her death are yet to be investigated. -

Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Chang Shuzhen From Qingdao City Died As A Result of Persecution After Appealing in Beijing
2004-07-25Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Chang Shuzhen went to appeal for Falun Gong after the unlawful persecution began in 1999. The police detained and tortured her. Other Dafa practitioners told the police Chang Shuzhen had died, and the police drove her to hospital. Around 6:00 a.m. the doctor examined her and said, "She can't be saved. She is gone." -
Elderly Ms. Yuan Cuirong from Henan Province Died with Injustice in Her Heart After Being Forced to Give Up Her Belief
2004-07-2557 year old Ms. Yuan Cuirong was a resident of Henan Province. Because she went to Beijing to appeal for the end of the persecution, she was incarcerated in a forced labour camp. After being subjected to brutal and savage persecution in the forced labour camp, Yuan Cuirong heavy-heartedly said she would give up her belief in Falun Dafa. She became depressed and developed cancer of the spine. Yuan Cuirong finally died on June 21, 2003. -
Engineer Gao Dong Tortured to the Point of Mental Breakdown in Benxi Forced Labour Camp
2004-07-25Engineer Gao Dong was abducted and persecuted because he persisted in cultivating Falun Gong. In October 2003 he was tortured until he was almost insane by Liaoning Province's Panjin Forced Labour Camp.He finally became mentally disordered. Some people responsible for his torture later started rumours that "Gao Dong became deviated after practising Falun Gong." -
The Torture I Suffered in a Police Station and a Forced Labour Camp
2004-07-25"My name is Liu Cuiqing. I live in Tangshan City, Hebei Province. I was arrested by the police for printing materials that explain the truth about Dafa. Eight people assaulted me. I was secretly sentenced to three years of forced labour, and put me in Kaiping Labour Camp. In the labour camp, the methods they used to persecute practitioners were very cruel. My family members also went through tremendous suffering." -
The Atrocities Behind The Term "Civilized Management" at Tuanhe Labour Camp in Beijing
2004-07-24Tuanhe Labour Camp tried every trick to boast that what they were doing exemplified "civilized management." They invited Dafa practitioners' family members to visit the camp, organized holiday celebration parties between labour camp deputies and those who were transformed and their family members. Many Dafa practitioners' families have been deceived by such propaganda, resulting in their hostility towards Falun Gong. -
Eyewitness' Account of the Death of Zhang Yali and Two Other Falun Dafa Practitioners
2004-07-24"I would like to tell you about the death of three practitioners, Ms. Zhang Yali, Ms. Zhang Baoju, and Ms. Guan Ge in a labour camp. Zhang Baoju said, "We cannot just watch our fellow practitioners be tortured and forced to renounce their belief''. They all wrote their wills, which stated, "This is not suicide. We do this under the circumstance where the evildoers rampantly persecute practitioners. we all know that Teacher states clearly in "Zhuan Falun" [the main text of Falun Dafa] about the issue of killing...we are willing to give up our young lives." The three of them hanged themselves on June 4, 2003." -
Chen Fukui, Former Chief of the Research Institute of Paper Mill Suffers Persecution for Speaking the Truth
2004-07-24"I am 66 years old and am the former chief of the Research Institute of Ningan Paper Mill in Heilongjiang Province.On February 3, 2001 while I was at my relative's home, police arrested me for no reason and took me to the detention centre of the Dongli Police Department. On November 19, 2001, they sentenced me to four years of imprisonment. This is very unjust. I did not commit any crime." -
Former Associate Chief of the Secrecy Bureau in Dengyang City, Mr. Yang Daifu, Unjustly Sentenced
2004-07-24On May 22, 2003, Deyang City District Court, Sichuan Province sentenced two Falun Dafa practitioners without any charge. The two practitioners were Mr. Yang Daifu and Mr. Jiang Shengui. Mr. Yang and Mr. Jiang were sentenced to five and four years of imprisonment respectively. No one was allowed in the courthouse except for their relatives. When Yang Daifu appeared, his relatives and those who knew him were shocked to see him. They could hardly recognize him. It was clear that he had been cruelly tortured.
