  • Sweden: Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance International Art Exhibition held in Stockholm

    On the 9th of June 2005 the Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance International Arts Exhibition opened in a gallery in Sweden's capital city of Stockholm. A message of support from a Swedish politician was read followed by an opening speech. The Stockholm exhibition marked a successful start for the exhibition’s forthcoming tour of Nordic countries.
  • Ireland: Condemning the CCP for Torturing Gao Rongrong to Death

    On June 21st 2005, Irish Falun Gong practitioners gathered at the Chinese Embassy in Dublin, strongly condemning the killing of Gao Rongrong and calling for the criminals involved to be investigated and brought to justice. One practitioner held Gao Rongrong’s photo showing her face, which was disfigured through electric baton torture.
  • Switzerland: Protesting at the Chinese Embassy to Strongly Condemn the CCP for Murdering Gao Rongrong

    After hearing the shocking news that Gao Rongrong was tortured to death, Swiss Falun Gong practitioners gathered at the Chinese Embassy in the capital city of Berne on 21st June. They protested against the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for the brutal killing of Gao Rongrong and strongly condemned the CCP’s inhuman persecution of Falun Gong practitioners that has lasted over six years.
  • Sweden: Anti-torture Exhibition in Lund City

    On June 4th, practitioners from Malmo and Lund in southern Sweden, along with practitioners from Copenhagen in Denmark, went to Medan square in Lund to hold an anti-torture exhibition. Before the scheduled activity started, it was cloudy and raining. Practitioners set up display boards and about twenty minutes later, the sun came out.
  • United Kingdom: Falun Gong Practitioners Gather at the Chinese Consulate in Manchester Protesting Against the Brutal Killing of Gao Rongrong

    After obtaining the news that female Falun Gong practitioner Gao Rongrong was persecuted to death, some Falun Gong practitioners from Manchester and nearby cities gathered together outside the Chinese Consulate in Manchester between 9:30 am to 12 noon on June 22nd, protesting against the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for yet another murder.
  • Sweden: The Voice of Medborgarplatsen in the Capital of Sweden: The CCP is Doomed to Collapse

    On June 11th, more than five hundred people, consisting of both Chinese and Caucasians from all over Europe, gathered at Medborgarplatsen in Stockholm so as to participate in a large-scale rally support the significant trend of quitting the CCP. Over fifty human right organisations and other non-governmental organisations expressed their support for the activity.
  • Czech Republic: Media Interviews Persecuted Falun Gong Practitioner

    On the 18th of June, Falun Gong practitioners from the Czech Republic and Slovakia gathered on the Staromestkse Square in Prague. On this occassion we were pleased to welcome Ms. Xiong Wei from Germany, who came to support our activities and tell the Czech media and people her story of how she had been persecuted in China for simply informing the people with the facts about Falun Gong and how it is being persecuted severely by the Chinese Communist Party.
  • Latvia: Falun Gong Wins an Award at the "Healthy Mind - Healthy Body" Sport Festival

    On June the 17th, 2005, Latvian Falun Gong practitioners attended the "Healthy Mind - Healthy Body" Sport Festival in Vingrotajiem and was awarded the “positive participation” prize. The practitioners introduced Falun Gong to those who joined the festival and demonstrated the exercises. They also displayed photos depicting the practise of Falun Gong across the world and provided accounts and experiences of cultivating in Falun Gong by practitioners for people to read.
  • Sweden: Practitioners Gather in Front of the Chinese Consulate to Protest Against the Murder of Gao Rongrong

    News that Chinese Communist Party disfigured Gao Rongrong using electric batons and later killed her on 16th June 2005 has shocked the world. On 24th June 2005, practitioners in Gothenburg and some other cities nearby gathered in front of the Chinese Consulate to strongly condemn the CCP's brutality and atrocities, and to demand punishment for Gao Rongrong's murderers.
  • Russia: Exposing the Persecution on Arbat Square in Moscow

    Russian practitioners held an activity on Arbat Square in Moscow city centre to call for an end to the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China. Many people approached practitioners to find out more about the human rights abuses happening to Falun Gong in China and signed the petition calling for an end to the persecution.
  • United Kingdom: London Chinese Embassy Appeal after Gao Rongrong is Tortured to Death

    On June 21st 2005, UK practitioners gathered at the Chinese Embassy in London to protest against the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) brutally torturing Falun Gong practitioner Gao Rongrong (pictured) and taking her life. Gao died on June 16th, following nearly two years of incarceration, brainwashing, and torture for her beliefs.
  • Slovakia: Persecution Against Falun Gong in Media Spotlight

    On 20th June, a press conference was held with Ms. Xiong Wei to inform the public about her two years of suffering in a Chinese forced labour camp. Xiong Wei was imprisoned for handing out leaflets in Beijing exposing the persecution of Falun Gong. The Slovakia press conference was featured on two TV stations and in other media.
  • Speech: “History illustrates that there is no power greater than that of Truth.”

    "Over the last year the Chinese authorities, with their total control of virtually all media outlets, have instructed that no reference should be made to Falun Gong persecution, in order to give the impression that the practice is no longer seen as a problem and may be a thing of the past. Behind the scenes, however, in the last six months the persecution has intensified with a greater number of verified deaths after torture than ever before: some fifty new provincial centres have been set up for this purpose."
  • First Swedish Performance of “The European Coming For You Choir”

    On the 11th of June 2005, the “European Coming For You” Choir made its first-ever performance in Sweden, performing at the concert “Coming for You ­ Where East Meets West” at Berwaldshallen in Stockholm. The concert was sponsored by New Tang Dynasty TV and Kulturföreningen Främja Traditionell Kultur & Konst (The Culture Association to Promote Traditional Culture & Art).
  • Radio Free Asia: Zhang Cuiying Invited to Participate in the Renowned German Hessen State Festival

    The German Hessen State Cultural Festival invited well-known Austrian artist Weber and the renowned Chinese artist Ms Zhang Cuiying, who lives in Australia, to hold a large-scale painting exhibition entitled “The European classical landscape painting vs. the Chinese traditional painting”. Zhang Cuiying is well known as a Falun Gong practitioner who was imprisoned for her beliefs whilst in China. She faced abuse and maltreatment in prison before being able to escape to Australia. Since then she has travelled the world with her painings, letting people know about the persecution she suffered and also letting them enjoy her traditional Chinese paintings.
