  • Russia: Falun Gong Practitioners Brave the Cold Weather to Expose the Persecution to the People of Moscow

    On Saturday the 12th of March, Moscow Falun Gong practitioners again went to the city centre despite the cold, snow and windy weather. They demanded that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) stop the cruel persecution of Falun Gong practitioners immediately and they exposed the CCP’s heinous crimes to the people of Moscow.
  • Report from German Newspaper Badener Tagblatt entitled “Protesting Against Torture”

    “Hundreds of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners have been taken to forced labour camps and many have been tortured to death”, reported one Falun Gong practitioner from Ettlingen. The practitioner further stated that it was not easy to explain why this is being done because the movement is not political and has about 100 million practitioners in sixty countries around the world. “We assume that the Chinese Communist Party became jealous and afraid of the great popularity of Falun Gong.” In Baden-Baden, signatures were collected to petition for an end to the brutal torture.
  • Czech Republic: Heartfelt Support from Attendees of a Charitable Concert and Exhibition in Moravia

    On March 5, Falun Gong practitioners were invited to an evening charity event held in the southern Moravia town of Mikulcice to tell people the truth about the ongoing brutal persecution against Falun Gong practitioners in China. Dozens of people expressed their gratitude to us for coming to the event and helping them learn about the persecution.
  • UK Newspaper Reports on Liverpool City Centre Anti-torture Exhibition

    Supporters of Chinese meditation practice Falun Gong acted out scenes of torture in Liverpool. The group collected 1,700 signatures from shoppers on Church Street after the display to highlight persecution suffered by Falun Gong practitioners in China. The display, attended by practitioners from across the UK, lasted for more than three hours. Simon Gross, 32, a practitioner from Formby, said: "The human rights abuses going on in China against people who practise Falun Gong are inexcusable. It is a peaceful practice which has more than 70 million practitioners in China. But it has been perceived as a threat by the communist government."
  • Businesswoman Feng Yang was Kidnapped in Beijing; UK Friends are Appealing to Rescue Her

    Police in Beijing kidnapped Chinese businesswoman Ms. Feng Yang on the 1st of March. Police kidnapped her in the evening of the 1st of March. She was first brought to the local Shuang Yu Shu Police Station and was subsequently moved to the Hai Dian District Public Security Sub-Bureau. Feng Yang used to study in the UK and has close business links there. Yang’s friends in the UK are making an urgent appeal and calling for her immediate release.
  • Russian Mignews: Shocking Internet Surveillance in China

    Mignews in Russia published an article entitled “Shocking Internet Surveillance in China” on March 4th. The article described the astounding extent to which the Chinese Communist regime is monitoring Internet access in China. According to the Russian media, seventy-two “Warriors” work in three eight-hour shifts so that they can implement a non-stop surveillance over “sohu.com”, “Beijing Telecom”, “Beijing Netcom” and eleven other Internet portals. In addition, the “Warriors” also took the same measures against four major Internet cafes.
  • Spain: Western Practitioners Continue to let Chinese People Know the Truth at the Consulate in Barcelona

    The Barcelona Chinese Consulate opens to the public every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. On these days, you can always find western Falun Gong practitioners there. They distribute leaflets to the Chinese people who are in the queue and tell them in Chinese: “This is for you. Falun Dafa is good.” They also demonstrate the five sets of Falun Gong exercises.
  • United Kingdom: Belfast Telegraph reports on the City’s “Persecution Meets Principle” Exhibition

    British newspaper The Belfast Telegraph published an article entitled “Show to focus on torture in China” on March 4th 2005. Marie Foy reported that Falun Gong practitioners held anti-torture exhibitions in fifteen cities in the UK to expose the brutal torture that the regime in China has conducted against them because they refuse to abandon their belief.
  • Finland: Activities in Helsinki to Raise Awareness of the Persecution

    On the 6th and 7th of March, Dafa practitioners in Finland held a two-day activity in Helsinki. This activity included a peaceful appeal outside the Chinese Consulate calling for an end to the Chinese Communist Party’s brutal persecution of people who follow Falun Gong’s principles of “Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance”.
  • Sweden: Support at a Gothenburg Health Expo: “I think that the whole world should practise Falun Gong!”

    Many people looked curiously at the Falun Gong stand and watched the video of the Falun Gong exercises. The practitioners handed out paper lotus flowers to the expo visitors. One of the visitors said, "If everyone practised Falun Gong, there would be no evil." Another said, "I think that the whole world should practise Falun Gong!"
  • Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners Mentioned on UK TV Show Special Broadcast from Shanghai

    Question Time is the premier political debating programme broadcast on the UK’s BBC One TV station. On Thursday 10th March, the programme did a special broadcast live from Shanghai in China. One Chinese man asked the question, “Do you endorse the description of the human rights situation in China made by the most recent U.S. annual human rights report.” The first speaker to address this issue was Isabel Hilton, who quickly agreed with the U.S. report, telling the Shanghai audience and millions of viewers that “there have been many deaths in custody of Falun Gong practitioners.” Ms. Hilton went on to list other human rights abuses happening in China and pointed out that it is not only the U. S. State Department that is critical of China’s human rights.
  • Germany: Participating in the Vietnamese New Year Festival in Bremen

    Vietnamese residents celebrated the New Year together in Bremen. Every year for fifteen years, Bremen’s Vietnamese community has come together for this event, which offers elaborate stage performances and tasty Vietnamese delicacies. This year, north German Falun Gong practitioners were asked to participate in the activities.
  • Zhuan Falun is Officially Published in Slovakian

    The main book of Falun Gong, Zhuan Falun, was published in Slovak language this month. Zhuan Falun was a best-seller in Beijing, China during 1996, and not without reason. The core text of Falun Dafa practice is no ordinary book. Its contents and teachings have done nothing short of redefining qigong and cultivation practice. Moreover, the book nurtured Falun Dafa from a practice done by 200 thousand people in China to one taken up by over 100 million around the world
  • The European Union Resolution expressed Extreme Concern about Human Rights Violations in China

    The recent European Union resolution expressed that in the 61st UN Human Rights Conference, which is going to be held in Geneva, the EU will express her extreme concern about human rights violations in China. In the resolution, the Chinese Government’s arbitrary arrest and persecution of Tibet, Xinjiang, Falun Gong and people with different political opinions, are being strongly condemned. The resolution urges the Chinese Government to immediately and unconditionally free prisoners of conscience and people who hold different political opinions; to respect human being’s rights of thinking, conscience and religious belief.
  • UKFGIC: MP helps Falun Gong Practitioners “Rescue our Family members” with London Press Conference and Petitions

    John Robinson MP, the Labour representative of Glasgow, Anniesland will be speaking at a press conference at College Green outside the House of Commons, London, SW1A 0AA at 5pm on Wednesday 9th March 2005. Following the press conference he will be handing in “Rescue our Families” petition forms with signatures totalling about 15,000 to an evening parliamentary session in the House of Commons. John Robinson’s constituent Mrs YuYu Williamson, a Falun Gong practitioner and local Anniesland resident, collected the petition forms from across the UK so that the MP could hand them in to the House of Commons on her behalf.
