  • EFGIC: Tanzania - Judge Gives Green Light to Criminal Trial of Chinese State Councillor

    'LONDON [EFGIC] – The historic legal action against Chen Zhili, a Member of the Chinese State Council, has taken a major step forward. The preliminary judgement in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, on August 3 was in favour of the Falun Gong practitioners in Ethiopia, on whose behalf attorneys brought the case. With the judge’s decision, the civil action has been concluded, clearing the way for a criminal trial. The case is now in the process of being moved to the Chief State Prosecutor’s office.'
  • Ireland: Irish Falun Dafa Association Holds a Press Conference as Liu Feng Returns to Ireland

    Irish Senator Mr. David Norris, the spokesman of Amnesty International in Ireland Mr. Jim Loughran, Deputy Mayor of Dublin City Mr. Andrew Montague, and South Dublin County Councillor Mrs. Ruth Coppinger attended the press conference and expressed their points of view. They have all actively taken part in the rescue efforts to release Liu Feng.
  • United Kingdom: Practitioners Hold Anti-Torture Exhibitions in Edinburgh

    On the 24th and 25th of July, British Falun Gong practitioners held a two-day live exhibition of simulating torture scenes in Edinburgh. After listening to practitioner’s tell them about the five-year campaign of genocide against Falun Gong in China, kind-hearted Scots were shocked! They could not believe that this brutal persecution is still happening in the 21st century.
  • Germany: Falun Gong Practitioners Attend a Multicultural Festival in Munich

    On the 19th of July, Falun Gong practitioners took part in a multicultural festival, which was conducted by the Cultural Office of Munich City Hall. Dafa practitioners in Munich applied for a stall to display information about Falun Dafa and tell people about the five-year campaign of genocide against Falun Gong in China.
  • Russia: Parade and Anti-Torture Exhibition in Moscow Calling for the End to the Persecution of Falun Gong

    After holding a peaceful appeal at the Chinese Embassy on July the 20th, 2004, to mark five years of the Jiang regime’s persecution of Falun Gong, Dafa practitioners organised a parade in Moscow. The parade ended in the busiest Square where practitioners demonstrated Falun Gong exercises and held a live anti-torture exhibition as well as a poster display.
  • Radio Free Asia: Falun Gong Hold Activities Around Europe to Protest Against Five Years of Persecution

    On 20th July 1944, Claus Schenk Graf von Strauffenberg planted a bomb in a briefcase in a conference room where Hitler was meeting with top military aides. The bomb exploded but Hitler escaped with only minor injuries. Later on, about 180 to 200 plotters were rounded up, tortured and executed by the Gestapo. By coincidence, on 20th July 1999, millions of people’s lives were turned upside down due to the brutal persecution against Falun Gong, orchestrated by the Chinese Communist Party dictator Jiang Zemin.
  • Ireland: Liu Feng Successfully Rescued and Returned to Ireland

    Falun Gong practitioner Liu Feng, who was studying in Ireland, has been successfully rescued and returned to Ireland. Liu Feng and his wife arrived in Dublin this week. On Thursday this week, a press conference will be held in Trinity College to inform and express thanks to all circles of society about Liu Feng’s return.
  • Fadu in Sweden (7): Positive Media Report in Valberg

    On the 11th of June 2004, Sweden’s Hallands County newspaper published reports about Zhizhen Dai and little Fadu on the front and second page, together with two large pictures.Journalist Ms Martinsson reported in her article the intention of this mother and daughter coming to Scandinavia and the persecution they have suffered. The report said four years ago, her husband was persecuted to death for being a Falun Gong practitioner.
  • Norway: Practitioners hold an Anti-Torture Exhibition and Receive Positive Media Coverage

    On the 23rd and 24th of July 2004, practitioners from Norway, Sweden and Demark held a two-day exhibition of some of the torture methods that the Jiang Regime uses to force Falun Gong practitioners in China to give up their beliefs. The exhibition involved acting out these torture methods and took place at the Parliament buildings and the city centre.
  • Belgium: Practitioners Hold Activities and Call on the Public to Help Bring an End to the Persecution

    On July the 20th, Belgian practitioners gathered at the Chinese Embassy in Brussels to protest against the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners conducted by the Jiang group, and to commemorate practitioners persecuted to death. A practitioner read a declaration, pointing out that we had been confronting the persecution peacefully and rationally.
  • UK: Practitioners Hold a Week-Long Anti-Torture Poster Exhibition in Cambridge

    To mark the fifth anniversary of the Jiang regime’s persecution of Falun Gong, practitioners in Cambridge organised a week-long anti-torture poster exhibition entitled “Persecution Meets Principle” in a local library. On the Friday evening, practitioners held a candlelight vigil in the city centre to commemorate those who lost their lives in the Jiang regime’s persecution.
  • Russia: Falun Gong Enters the Daily Life of the People of Pjatigorsk City

    Since July 1999, Falun Gong practitioners have been cruelly persecuted in China and those who practise have bee tortured. However, the Chinese Government does not realise that today, after five years, Falun Gong has spread to every corner of the world, including our city Pjatigorsk in Russia. Falun Gong practitioners from Pjatigorsk held activities to raise awareness in a park on July the 22nd and 24th.
  • VOA: A Canadian Court Orders the Garnishment of a Chinese Diplomat's Assets

    The report stated that in the case involving the Chinese Deputy Consul General in Toronto, Pan Xinchun, the Ontario Supreme Court last week issued a garnishee order against Pan Xinchun's personal assets in the amount of $11,000, to pay for damages and legal fees in a defamation case brought against him by Toronto resident Joel Chipkar.

    On July the 17th and 18th, French Falun Gong practitioners simulated torture scenes on the busiest street of Chinatown in Paris XIII District and the Champs de Mars to expose the Jiang regime’s persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, grassroots Chinese citizens who believe in Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance.
  • Sweden: Candle Light Vigil in Gothenburg Commemorating Over One Thousand Falun Gong Practitioners Tortured to Death in China.

    On July 23rd, to commemorate over 1000 Falun Gong practitioners who have been persecuted to death in China, Falun Gong practitioners in Gothenburg and nearby gathered at the Chinese Consulate to hold a peaceful candlelit vigil. It is now more than five years since the Chinese regime started to persecute Falun Gong practitioners.
