  • The Epoch Times: Chinese Media Magnate Sued for Genocide Makes Appearance in Connecticut Court

    According to the World Organisation to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG), in June 1999, under Zhao's supervision, staff from Wuhan TV Station went to Changchun, the hometown of Falun Gong's founder Li Hongzhi, and produced a film about Mr. Li. The film was later used as a tool to convince CCP leaders to persecute Falun Gong. The film has been the main propaganda tool used repeatedly by state-owned media to brainwash the Chinese people.
  • Associated Press Worldstream Reports on Falun Gong Practitioners' March Through Central Athens to Call for Attention to the Persecution in China

    On the 11th of August, The Associated Press reported on Falun Gong practitioners' parade through central Athens to call for attention from international society regarding the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. One Falun Gong practitioner pointed out that although Beijing has been approved to hold the 2008 Olympics, its current human rights situation opposes the values which the Olympics are founded upon.
  • EFGIC: Criminal Lawsuit Filed against Chinese Officials in Athens

    ATHENS (EFGIC) – One week prior to the opening of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, three Falun Gong practitioners, including 37 year-old Australian citizen Chris Cominos, jointly submitted a criminal lawsuit against former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin, former Vice-Premier Li Lanqing, and Politburo Standing Committee member Luo Gan for genocide and torture.
  • Greece: Photo Report - Successful Parade in Athens Attracts International Media

    On the 11th of August 2004, a grand parade was successfully held by Falun Dafa practitioners in Athens, Greece. The parade started from Kotzia Square and went through the city centre to Syntagma Square attracting local people, tourists, and reporters from different television channels, newspapers and radio stations. Twenty different media organisations were present, taking photos and interviewing Falun Gong practitioners

    "The world has already spoken out against China’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong. Members of democratic society have condemned China’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong. The U.S. Congress and the European Parliament, for example, have specifically passed resolutions calling on China to stop the persecution of Falun Gong and supporting the human rights of Falun Gong."
  • Russia: Dafa practitioners hold an Anti-Torture Exhibition during Bo Xilai’s Visit to Moscow

    On the 4th of August 2004, practitioners gathered at Moscow’s marketplace, where Chinese people are the primary ethnic group, and appealed outside the Chinese Embassy against Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong. There were also protests against Jiang’s accomplice Bo Xilai's visit to Moscow.
  • Slovakia: Introducing Falun Gong and Exposing the Persecution to People in Eastern Slovakia

    Practitioners of Falun Gong visited several cities in Eastern Slovakia in the first week of August: Spisska Nova Ves, Presov, Kosice, Humenne and Bardejov. In each of these cities they organised a small activity, where they tried to show the beauty of Falun Gong exercises in contrast to the five years of brutal persecution against Falun Gong in China.
  • Hungary: Peaceful Appeal at the Chinese Embassy in Budapest

    Practitioners from Sweden, Australia and Taiwan went to Budapest, the capital of Hungary, on the 21st and 22nd of June. A peaceful appeal was held outside the Chinese Embassy in Budapest. Leaflets were given out to passers-by. The Hungarian people were very supportive and one man said loudly to us, “My heart is with you!”
  • Radio Free Asia: Falun Gong practitioners in Athens Demand that China Improves Its Human Rights Situation

    According to RFA’s report, two Greek Falun Gong practitioners have already sued three Chinese officials, including former Chinese President Jiang Zemin and the former Chinese Vice-President Li Lanqing, accusing them of persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. Falun Gong’s lawyer says that they demand the Athens judiciary gives orders to arrest the three officials if they set foot in Athens to watch the Olympic Games.
  • Epoch Times: Manhattan Falun Gong Exhibit Depicts Torture in China

    A battered woman with large gashes in her leg crouches inside a small cage on the corner of 8th Avenue and 42nd Street. The woman's name is Nelly Au who is a practitioner of Falun Gong, or Falun Dafa, a meditation practice that was outlawed in China in 1999. She is one of four people in an exhibit demonstrating the tortures used on practitioners of Falun Gong in China.
  • Greece: People Welcome Falun Dafa on the Eve of the Olympic Games

    Every morning practitioners have gathered in the Elefterias Square (Freedom Square) for morning group practice. The square is located in the Chinese sector of Athens. As well as many local Greek people, many Chinese have come to watch the tranquil and gentle exercises of Falun Gong and have got to know more about the peaceful nature of the practice.
  • Norway: Persecution of Falun Gong in China lasts Five Years

    Norwegian Falun Gong practitioners, with support from Swedish and Danish practitioners, held activities in Oslo to mark the fifth year in the persecution of Falun Gong. Similar exhibitions have been held in many places over the world in the last few last weeks, as well as in the other Nordic countries. The exhibition attracted a lot of attention from passersby.

  • Sweden: Mourning Practitioners Who Have Been Persecuted to Death in China

    On July 23rd 2004, Falun Gong practitioners assembled outside Gothenburg Chinese Embassy and held a vigil to mourn for the more than one thousand Falun Gong practitioners who have been persecuted to death. They also asked for the Embassy’s staff to not betray their conscience and not participate in this persecution of innocent people.
