    Not so long ago, we heard that the Chinese prime minister would visit Germany. After sharing understandings between Berlin practitioners, we felt that we should try our best to let as many people as possible know that Falun Gong is good and how Falun Gong has been persecuted by Jiang Zemin in China.

    On the 7th of April 2004, the student union of the Free University in Amsterdam organised a public debate for candidates of the EU parliament presidency. The participants also included members of the EU parliament, important Dutch politicians from all parties, well-known professors, Dutch Falun Gong practitioners, the chancellor of the Free University Amsterdam, and representatives from many Dutch communities.

  • Czech Republic: Members of the Czech Parliament Appeal to President Vaclav Klaus to Express Support for Falun Gong Practitioners during his Visit to China

    Czech Falun Gong practitioners organised a Press Conference outside the seat of the President's Office. Several VIPs joined the appeal with a statement, “We join the appeal to stop the persecution of Falun Gong members and other prisoners of conscience in China and call on the President Mr Vaclav Klaus to unambiguously express support to these people.“
  • Falun Gong Information Centre Germany: Xiong Wei - Released From Detention But Not Yet Free!

    Commenting on the report of a special correspondent at the UNHRC for freedom of Religion and Belief, China’s claims concerning Xiong Wei are as follows: "In its work, the Beijing women's labour re-education facility strictly abides by the principles that inmates should be re-educated, guided by persuasion and thus reformed. The management methods that it applies are legal, civilised and scientific and no form of corporal punishment or ill-treatment is ever used against those undergoing labour re-education."
  • Yoko Kaneko (A Resident in Japan), Imprisoned in China for 1.5 Years for Practising Falun Gong, Gives Personal Testimony at U.N. Commission on Human Rights in Geneva

    "My name is Yoko Kaneko. I was born in China. I am now residing in Japan. I am a practitioner of Falun Gong. I travelled back to China from Japan on May the 24th 2002. I was arrested and put in labour camp without trial only for handing out Falun Gong fliers on the streets in Beijing. I was released after one and a half years. Here I would like to share some of my sufferings while under detention."

  • Denmark: Falun Gong is Introduced in a New Book of Theology

    Recently, the theology department of Aarhus University Denmark supervised the publication of a new book, which details the background to Falun Gong. The publishing launch was held on the 26th March 2004 at the theology department of Aarhus University. The mayor of Aarhus attended the launch and gave a congratulatory speech.
  • The Suffering of Chen Aizhong’s Family Arouses Attention in the UN

    "Since Jiang’s group began suppressing Falun gong in 1999, authorities in Zhangjiagkuo City, Hebei Province, have followed Jiang’s persecution instructions to the letter. In addition to illegal imprisonment and sending a huge number of Falun Gong practitioners to forced labour camps, over ten practitioners have been persecuted to death in that city. Among them were two of Chen Aizhong’s family members, who were tortured to death in succession, Chen Aizhong and his younger sister Chen Hongping."

  • UN Forum: "Chinese State Terrorism - Persecuting Falun Gong"

    During the 60th Human Rights Conference at the UN, Falun Gong and the NGO “International Education Development” held a forum together, the theme of which was “Chinese State Terrorism: The Persecution of Falun Gong.” During question time, two people were sent by Jiang’s group, pretending that they were from an NGO. Even during the preparation time before the conference, Jiang’s group tried to bribe the guards and staff and hamper the conference’s preparation so that the conference couldn’t start on time.
  • United Kingdom: Activities during the Edinburgh Easter Festival Celebrations

    On Sunday the 11th of April, Scotland’s capital city of Edinburgh held a day of Easter celebrations. To accompany and complement the parade there were also several smaller performances on two outdoor stages, as well as a variety of stalls. Falun Gong practitioners staged several performances as part of the festival.

It is shameless dumping”, says, in essence, the action group for true democracy in China, which has just been created in Geneva.
