Three Family Members Die Due to Persecution; Elementary School Teacher Ms. Xu Shufeng Arrested Again

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Xu Shufeng, about 48 years old, is an elementary school teacher at the Daqing Petro-Chemical First Elementary School. Police arrested her and ransacked her home on April 24th, 2011 because she explained the facts about Falun Gong in public. She is now being held at the Longfeng Detention Centre. The persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) caused the death of three of Ms. Xu's family members: her father, husband and son. Ms. Xu herself has been arrested four times. -
A Family Under Persecution: Three Brothers from Shandong Province Arrested Again
2011-06-03On May 13th, Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Guo Jiahong, Mr. Guo Jiafu and Mr. Guo Jiasheng, three brothers were taken away from home by officers from the Domestic Security Team. The youngest of the three brothers, Mr. Guo Jiasheng had been previously arrested and detained on October 28th, 2002. Not knowing his son's whereabouts, father Mr. Guo Huiming died from grief and stress on February 11th, 2003. Mr. Guo Jiasheng was later sentenced to ten years in prison in August 2003. His mother Ms. Cui Zhimin could not bear the severe mental anguish and died on December 14th, 2004. The other two brothers were sentenced to one and a half years of forced labour in 2007. -
Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Yuan Yongwen Passes Away After Being Tortured to Critical Condition
2011-06-01On April 21st, 2010, practitioner Ms. Yuan Yongwen was released after she became paralysed and fell unconscious because of torture she suffered in Yangma Prison in Jianyang City. She passed away on May 7th. Staff at Jianyang Yangma Prison and Chengdu Police Hospital carry full responsibility for her death. In March 2008, while she was talking to people about Falun Gong, Yuan Yongwen was reported to the police by someone who had been deceived by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) propaganda. On March 26th, 2008, the police arrested her. Shortly after, she was sentenced to a three-year prison term and taken to the Jianyang Yangma Prison. -
The Horrifying Facts Surrounding Mr. Li Zaiji’s Death
2011-06-01Li Zaiji was the first Falun Gong practitioner in Jilin City, Jilin Province, to be tortured to death. He was sent to Huanxiling Forced Labour Camp in October 1999 and died on July 8th, 2000. The coroner had all his organs removed before hastily getting the camp guards to have his body cremated. Li Zaiji suffered tremendously at the hands of the labour camp guards and detainees. He once told his wife that the labour camp was not a place for human beings. When Mr. Li’s wife went to the Death Investigation Centre, she noticed his body had undergone cosmetic repair and looked beautified. -
The Persecution Suffered by Retired Worker Ms. Kang Miqiao Before Her Death
2011-05-31Practitioner Ms. Kang Miqiao was over 60 years old. After she started practising Falun Gong, she benefited both mentally and physically. During the persecution of Falun Gong in the past decade by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Ms. Kang Miqiao suffered arrests, extortion, and repeated imprisonment. Due to the persecution, she became paralysed and couldn't take care of herself. Ms. Kang died on May 2nd, 2011. -
Zhang Zhiming from Huaihua City, Hunan Province Dies Suddenly
2011-05-30On April 24th, 2011, Mr. Zhang Zhiming suddenly passed away in his home. In September 2010, he had been arrested and sent to a brainwashing centre. At the centre, he was forced to take unidentified drugs. According to a witness, at the time of his death the left side of his face and left ear were swollen, and his neck had turned a purple colour. Officers from the Public Security Department did not investigate either the scene or his background. They just told his relatives to bring the corpse back to his old home in a farming village and bury him right away. -
Falun Gong Practitioner Liang Huiling Arrested Seven Times Before Passing Away
2011-05-30Falun Gong practitioner Liang Huiling was persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) many times during past 11 years, which caused her not only physical injury, but also mental trauma. She was involved in a car accident before the 2011 Chinese New Year that resulted in three major surgeries, and she was in critical condition. Her daughter took care of her, and she recovered somewhat. But on March 30th, 2011, police arrested her daughter, also a Falun Gong practitioner, which caused even further mental trauma for Ms. Liang. Her condition quickly worsened, and she passed away on April 26th. -
Practitioner Hu Yunqi from Jingyu County, Jilin Province Died as a Result of Persecution
2011-05-26Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Hu Yunqi died on April 18th at the age of 44, from years of persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). After his death, the local police refused to issue a cremation permit. The local police then joined forces with the local 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) in an attempt to arrest Mr. Hu Yunqi's two brothers, who attended the funeral. Relatives and friends who attended the funeral severely criticised the police officers for their complete lack of conscience, thus the two brothers were able to escape being arrested. -
After Being Paralysed for Eight Years from Beatings, Ms. Dai Lijuan Has Passed Away

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Dai Lijuan was paralysed for eight years after having been brutally beaten and injected with unknown drugs by the police. She was only skin and bones, had difficulty speaking, and kept vomiting. She passed away on March 28th, at the age of 48. Police arrested her and took her to Wuxi Mental Hospital twice, in November 2001 and March 2002. There she was injected with unknown drugs. -
Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Zhang Furong Dies as a Result of Persecution
2011-05-24Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhang Furong was arbitrarily arrested and given a 5-year prison sentence in 2009. After over a year of mistreatment and torture in the prison, he became emaciated, incontinent and unable to take care of himself. Due to his critical condition, the prison authorities released him on November 10th, 2010. He was taken to the hospital where he was diagnosed with myeloma, a cancer of the bone marrow. He died on March 20th. -
Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Jiang Botao Undergoes Violent “Transformation” in Jiamusi Prison
2011-05-24For the purpose of forcing Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their belief, Jiamusi Prison set up a “strict management team” in February 2011. The brutal persecution started on February 21st. Within 15 days, three practitioners, Qi Yueming, Yu Yungang and Liu Chuanjiang had been tortured to death Mr. Jiang Botao suffered tortures in Jiamusi Prison such as brutal beatings, freezing and sleep deprivation. After he was beaten until he passed out, he would be doused with cold water to wake him up and then the beatings would continue. This violence did not stop until he became delirious and under pressure wrote the so-called repentance statement to give up his belief in Falun Gong. -
Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Yu Yongjuan, 59, from Changchun City Dies as a Result of Persecution
2011-05-23Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yu Yongjuan was arrested, detained at forced labour camps, and harassed several times. Due to the physical and mental abuse, she died on April 10th. Previously, In November 2004, labour camp officials demanded that Ms. Yu write a statement to give up her belief in Falun Gong before she would be released, but she refused. The guards then told her to sign a written statement that they had prepared, and, again, she refused. Several guards then grabbed and restrained her in order to get her fingerprints. Ms. Yu kept her hands tightly balled into fists. The guards pulled and stretched her arms so hard that she was covered with bruises. -
Mr. Qin Yueming Dies from Torture, Family Files Complaint
2011-05-22Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Qin Yueming was persecuted to death in Jiamusi Prison on February 26th. On February 27th, his family was allowed to view his body after repeated requests. They discovered that his lips were bruised, and when his body was turned over, a great deal of blood poured out from his mouth and nose. His neck, back, waist and legs were also bruised and scarred. Mr. Qin's family filed a complaint and request for compensation with the Jiamusi Hejiang Procuratorate on March 26th regarding his death. The Hejiang Procuratorate failed to take action, so the family submitted a letter of complaint to the Jiamusi People's Procuratorate on April 20th, but were suspicious that the officials were protecting each other. Meanwhile, Mr. Qin's family submitted a “Criminal Compensation Requisition” to Jiamusi Prison officials on April 19th. -
Remembering My Mother and Brother
2011-05-21My family lives in Wuhan City, Hubei Province. There were five people in our home, including my father, mother, oldest brother, second older brother, and a younger sister. We all practised Falun Gong and followed the principles of “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.” Our life was a simple but happy one. We respected, cared for and loved each other. Not long after the persecution began in July 1999, the harmony in this family of five ended. Two are now dead and three severely harmed. The oldest brother is still being held in jail, which has left our younger sister, who has suffered all sorts of abuse, alone with our father, who has lost his sanity. -
Healthy Elderly Practitioner Suffers from Brainwashing, Dies Within Three Months
2011-05-20On November 28th, 2010 police deceived 70-year-old Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Guo Jilong into going to a hotel, which turned out to be a 610 Office brainwashing facility (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong), and Mr. Guo was detained for seven days. Guards forced him to participate in psychological testing, insinuating that Mr. Guo was mentally ill. They forced him to watch videos attacking Falun Gong in order to force him to give up his beliefs. They ended up forcing Mr. Guo into writing a “guarantee statement” to renounce practising Falun Gong against his will before they let him go home. His health became worse and worse. He died three months later, on March 2nd, 2011.
