Qiqihar City Practitioner Li Huifeng Appeals to Court Regarding Persecution He Experienced

On January 22, 2001, Qiqihar City Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Huifeng was taken away by the police. In July 2001, he was charged and sentenced to 12 years in prison by the Jianhua District Court. Mr. Li appealed to a higher court according to the law, but the Qiqihar Mid-level Court went so far as to write in their verdict that Mr. Li accepted the initial ruling and withdrew his appeal. -
Belated Report: Three Falun Gong Practitioners Die As a Result of Persecution
2004-12-28Mr. Liu Zhaohui, in his 30s, was a resident of Gao'an, Jiangxi Province. In early February 2002, Mr. Liu was again sent to Jiangxi Province's No. 2 Forced Labour Camp (also known as the Gaoan Forced Labour Camp). He launched a hunger strike to protest his illegal detention and died days later, right after the Chinese Lunar New Year. -
Ms. Zhu Xiyu Suffers Mental Collapse from Torture at Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp
2004-12-28Ms. Zhu Xiyu, formerly an accountant for the Dongbeiya Company in Yanji City, Jilin Province, has been detained in the No. 4 Squad of Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp for more than one year for persisting in her practice of Falun Gong. There, she was tortured to such an extent that she now appears to be psychologically detached, mentally impaired and unable to take care of her own basic personal needs. -
Guards in Xinjiang Province Women's Prison Brutally Torture Ms. Zhao Shuyuan and Ms. Wang Xi
2004-12-28Ms. Zhao Shuyuan is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Karamay City, Xinjiang Province. She has been illegally sentenced to nine years in prison for appealing for justice for Falun Dafa. She was illegally imprisoned in Xinjiang Province Women's Prison from the beginning of 2003. When The prison guards used all kinds of methods to brainwash her into renouncing Falun Dafa. They repeated the "brainwashing class" again and again, but Zhao Shuyuan still persists in her belief. -
Practitioner Yang Guang in Changchun Is Cruelly Tortured and Imprisoned in the "Naked Area" of Jilin Prison
2004-12-28Yang Guang is a Falun Dafa practitioner in his fifties from Changchun City, Jilin Province. Because he upheld his belief in Falun Dafa, authorities illegally sentenced him to a long prison term. The seventh office of the Changchun Police Department attempted to extort a confession from him by cruelly torturing him. Police beat and tortured him, and eventually broke his right leg. Mr. Yang's thigh bone became numb and he was paralysed. -
Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Ma Dexuan from the Wuqing District of Tianjin in China Died in 2003 at the Ji County Forced Labour Camp as a Result of Torture
2004-12-27As Mr. Ma considered himself innocent he went on a hunger strike as a form of peaceful appeal against the unlawful persecution he was being subjected to. Despite his extremely weak physical condition, the labour camp authorities handcuffed and shackled him, and then carried him to a vehicle to be driven to the Ji County Labour Camp for continued abuse. Mr. Ma died within days of arriving at the forced labour camp. -
Falun Dafa Practitioners Ms. Zhu Xiuqing and Ms. Zhang Shuhua from Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province Die as a Result of Excessive Persecution in 2000
2004-12-27Blood and pus were excreted from her breast continuously. When it was hot, the odour was strong and she could not take care of herself. However, the police refused to release her despite repeated requests from her family and refused her any medical treatment. Finally she was released when she was near death. She died as a direct consequence of the persecution at the end of November, shortly after her release. -
Female Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Yang Lifan Harassed and Persecuted to Death in 2002
2004-12-27The police took Master Li's picture (the founder of Falun Gong) and the phone book and, when nobody would open the door, they took the mirror off of the door and the fuse from the electric box, which cut off the electricity. The factory director, deputy director and staff from her workplace harassed her non-stop. They also harassed her son if she refused to open the door. After two years of relentless persecution and being unable to practise the exercises or study the Falun Gong teachings, her health deteriorated until she was not even able to lie down. She passed away on the 23rd of July in 2002. -
Belated Report: Four Falun Gong Practitioners in Hubei, Hebei and Henan Provinces Have Died as a Result of Persecution
2004-12-27Ms. Luo Jiazhi, 62, was a resident of Wuhan City. In July of 2001, she was arrested by police chief Peng Xianguang along with Liu Sanhei, Yu Guoqiang, and others, from the Erqiao Police Station of Hanyang in Wuhan City. She was detained in the Taojialing brainwashing centre, where she suffered brutal torture. On the 9th of February in 2002, she was released. After returning home, the police kept Ms. Luo under close surveillance, taking away her personal freedom. Every time she went outside, they forced her to undergo a body search. In June of 2002, she passed away. -
Ms. Liu Guohua Passed Away in February 2004 Due to Stress from Long-Term Persecution
2004-12-26Ms. Liu Guohua, 61, the wife of retired Beijing Machine Tool Institute employee, Ge Peijun, passed away on February 28, 2004. Both Liu Guohua and her husband were arrested and jailed for more than a month before being released.Her death was the result of being frequently harassed by the authorities, and by her husband's persecution in a labour camp. These caused her long-term mental stress, which led to the recurrence of an old illness. -
Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Liu Ziwei Dies from Torture at Changchun City's Chaoyanggou Forced Labour Camp
2004-12-26Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Liu Ziwei from Jilin Province was sent to the Changchun City Chaoyanggou Forced Labour Camp on October12, 2004. He had been on a hunger strike the whole time so as to protest his unjust incarceration, and suffered inhuman tortures including being confined in a solitary compartment, force-feeding and a method called the "Big Hang Up", because he remained firm in his belief. Liu Ziwei died as a result of torture on December 13, 2004. -
55 Year Old Outstanding Teacher Ms. Zhang Chunlan Died as a Result of Torture at Dalian City's Forced Labour Camp - Belated News
2004-12-26Ms. Zhang Chunlan was 55 year old outstanding teacher from Liaoning Province. As she was persistent in practising Falun Dafa, Zhang Chunlan was sentenced to forced labour for two years and was sent to Dalian City Forced Labour Camp. She was forced to do heavy labour, and the living conditions there were extremely terrible. Under these conditions, and being isolated from the outside world, her health was seriously damaged. Ms. Zhang's weight dropped to about 34 kilos (75 pounds) from about 70 kilos (154 pounds). She died tragically on August 29, 2003. -
United Kingdom: Falun Gong Practitioner Zhu Baosheng's Sister was Released after Four Years of Illegal Detention
2004-12-25Although Baolian has been released, tens of thousands of other Dafa practitioners are still illegally imprisoned in China's forced labour camps and prisons. We would like to urge the Chinese Government to stop the persecution against Falun Gong practitioners and release all practitioners who are imprisoned and brutally tortured for their beliefs. -
Practitioner Ms. Liu Lianfeng from the Chaoyang District of Beijing Was Tortured to Death in 2001
2004-12-25Ms. Liu Lianfeng, 43 years old, was a practitioner from Chaoyang District of Beijing. In July 2000, Sunhe Town Police sent her to the Chaoyang Detention Centre where she was tortured into unconsciousness and taken to hospital. In the hospital, she was injected with unknown drugs and became paralyzed and bedridden. The torturers released her, after recognizing the severity of her condition, on home-detention. On October 20 2001, she passed away due to the persecution. -
67 Year Old Ms. Zhang Yunan from Jilin Province Died as a Result of Police Harassment in 2001
2004-12-25Ms. Zhang Yunan, who was from Changchun City, Jilin Province, became healthy from practising Falun Dafa, but, since the persecution began in 1999, she became fearful because of harassment from the police. Because of the long term mental torment and continued threats, she did not dare to practise Falun Gong. She died as a result of the persecution at the beginning of 2001.
