Female Teacher from Inner Mongolia Severely Persecuted, Now “Nothing But Skin and Bones”
2012-08-28Ms. Wu Guohui, a teacher at the Inner Mongolia Balinzuoqi Elementary School, was arrested on her way to the market for groceries, and later sentenced for following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and trying to be a good person. As a result of brutal persecution, Ms. Wu is now emaciated. Ms. Wu's weight had dropped from about 165 pounds to less than 66 pounds. When the officers arrived at her home, she was in bed, barely alive. Ms. Wu has been repeatedly arrested, her home has been ransacked, she has had money extorted from her, and she has been monitored, spied on, and followed for long periods of time. She has been detained at the brainwashing centre and undergone intense brainwashing. -
Weihai City Police in Shandong Province Constantly Changing Their Statements Regarding the Death of Ms. Wang Diansong
2012-08-28On the night of May 12th, 2012, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Diansong, 68, died in an accident, and Ms. Qi Xiuchun was injured. According to eyewitnesses, three police cars surrounded the two women, one of whom lay on the ground while the other knelt on the road, shouting for help. At Chucun Hospital, a medical assistant said that two women were brought in on the night of May 12th. One of them was already dead. The other victim, Ms. Qi Xiuchun, was immediately taken away by police and her whereabouts are unknown. After the tragic accident that took place Gaoxin District Police Department kept changing their statements. Recently they maligned the witness, Ms. Qi Xiuchun, claiming that she was “mentally unstable.” -
Engineer Mr. Liu Wensheng from Chengdu Airplane Construction Company Arrested Again
2012-08-28Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Liu Yongsheng, an engineer at the Chengdu Airplane Construction Company in Sichuan Province, was taken away on July 12th, 2012 at the gate of the Xinjin Brainwashing Centre by unidentified personnel. Witnesses to the arrest (family members, attorneys and supporters of Falun Gong practitioners being held inside the brainwashing centre) dialled the emergency number to report the abduction. When the Huaqiao police arrived and realized that the abduction had taken place at the brainwashing centre, they said that the issue was out of their jurisdiction and left. Mr. Liu's whereabouts are currently unknown, but it is believed that he may currently be detained at the Xinjin Detention Centre. -
Eight Practitioners from Jilin City Recently Arrested and Detained
2012-08-28Jilin City Police Department officers arrested eight Falun Gong practitioners and took them into custody on July 31st, 2012. The police ransacked their homes and confiscated personal valuables and cash. The four practitioners are currently in the Jilin City Detention Centre. Mr. Chang Shi, in his 50s, was previously arrested on April 16th, 2002 by officers from the Jilin City Police Department. The police tortured him with various methods. One of the torture methods was to roll a metal rod over his legs, causing his flesh to separate from his bones. -
Ms. Gao Hongying, from Heishan County, Liaoning Province, Beaten by Police and Sentenced to Forced Labour
2012-08-28Police officers arrested Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Gao Hongying on July 1st, 2011. Officer Feng Jiang violently beat Ms. Gao, using the sole of his shoe to continuously hit her head and left temple. He also kicked her left shoulder and arm while cursing at her. He took a break when he got too tired from beating her. Then, he continued to hit her head and kick her legs, left shoulder, and arm. He repeatedly did this for the entire day, and no one stopped him even if they saw what he was doing. He sent Ms. Gao to Jinzhou Detention Centre. She was later transferred to Masanjia Forced Labour Camp. -
Wang Lanying Detained, Her Family Not Allowed to Visit
2012-08-28On March 8th, 2012, while Ms. Wang Lanying was exposing the persecution of Falun Gong to villagers in Qingyuan County, she was arrested by police. Currently, she is being persecuted in the Shijiazhuang Forced Labour Camp. Her family rushed to the labour camp, but they were not allowed to see her. On March 29th they went again to Shijiazhuang, but they were still not allowed to see her because of Wang Lanying's “bad attitude” and “non-cooperation.” -
“Bad people are taking a good man away!”
2012-08-28On June 21st, 2012, residents of Dawali Village in Hebei Province, heard someone shouting, “Bad people are taking a good man away!” Police were trying to arrest Mr. Jia Zhanmin. With the help of his family and local residents, the officers did not succeed. While police officers were dragging Mr. Jia into a police car, his grandson began screaming and crying. His wife, second son Fei, and pregnant daughter-in-law tried to stop the police. Policeman Ma Tiezhu forcefully grabbed and pulled on Fei's hair and the rest of them pushed Mr. Jia's wife and daughter-in-law. -
Mother Collapses When Daughter Zhang Xiaoyan Is Arrested for Third Time
2012-08-28On the evening of July 25th, 2012, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang Xiaoyan, who is in her fifties, was arrested by police. She was taken and detained in the police department of Dahailin Forestry Bureau. The following day, officers ransacked Ms. Zhang's home. They confiscated many of her household goods. Ms. Zhang Xiaoyan's mother is 88 years old and has difficulty walking. When she heard the news, she wanted to see her daughter in person. She and Ms. Zhang Xiaoyan's sister went to the police department to request a visit. However, when their request was refused Ms. Zhang's mother collapsed. -
Account of a Trial Moved from a Courthouse to a Detention Centre, Then Postponed
2012-08-28In Sichuan Province a Gulin Court lawsuit was scheduled to be tried in Luzhou's Naxi Courthouse on July 12th, but at noon on July 11th, the location of the trail was suddenly changed to the Naxi Detention Centre. What type of lawsuit would prompt a relocation to another city, at the last possible moment, and, inexplicably, from a public courtroom to a detention centre where few could attend? -
Ms. Yang Yinqiao Plunges to Her Death from Building During Recent Mass Arrest Targeting Falun Gong
2012-08-21Over 700 villagers from Dong'anfeng Village, Zhengding County, Hebei Province, signed a petition in support of rescuing Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Lankui. The Chinese regime ignored the will of the public, and instead they sent personnel to harass and intimidate villagers. They pressured the villagers who signed the form. They claimed that they would find the one who sent the news about the petition to be published on the Internet. They arrested Mr. Li's wife and second daughter on August 2nd, 2012, then arrested two Falun Gong practitioners from the village. They started another round of arrests on August 7th. During an attempted arrest, Ms. Yang Yinqiao plunged to her death from a building. -
Ms. Xu Xiuhua Paralyzed by Persecution at the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp
2012-08-21On April 15th, 2012, officers from Fuxin City Domestic Security and Haizhou Subdivision Xishan Police Station arrested Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Xu Xiuhua. On May 4th, she was secretly transferred to Masanjia Forced Labour Camp. Her family was not notified. The labour camp recently notified her family that she was paralysed. It is not yet known what kind of torture Ms. Xu endured in the labour camp, but in the 13 years that Falun Gong practitioners have been officially persecuted, Masanjia has been notorious for using all kinds of brutal tortures. -
Falun Gong Practitioner Tortured at Psychiatric Hospital for Eleven Years--Mother Still Deceived by Chinese Communist Party
2012-08-21During the relentless persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), many mentally sound practitioners have been labeled “mentally ill” and subjected to ruthless torture. This unconscionable torture resulted in enormous damage. Practitioner Liu Yong from Handan, Hebei Province is one of the many victims. He was arrested and taken to Baoding Psychiatric Hospital in June 2001. Under the label of “mental illness,” he has been detained and subjected to eleven years of unimaginable torture. During the past years of persecution against Falun Gong, it is estimated that 24 practitioners have died or were injured as a result of forced, brain-damaging drug administration at the Baoding Psychiatric Hospital. -
Ms. Wang Xiaomei Sent to Forced Labour Camp for Attempting to Rescue Her Brother
2012-08-21Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Xiaodong's younger sister Ms. Wang Xiaomei was sentenced to Shijiazhuang Forced Labour Camp for one year for attempting to rescue him. Officials from the public security bureau and Procuratorate in Botou City have also brought charges against Mr. Wang Xiaodong. Mr. Wang's family and friends have hired a lawyer from Beijing to represent him, and are determined to fight against the unjust persecution of Falun Gong. -
Mr. Bai Shijun Died Five Years Ago from Torture at Tailai Prison in Heilongjiang Province
2012-08-21Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Bai Shijun from Daxinganling, Heilongjiang Province was sentenced to four years in prison. He suffered tortures at the Tailai Prison which resulted in heart disease, renal atrophy and pulmonary inflammation, and his life was in danger. The prison phoned his family on April 24th, 2006 to inform them that he was in critical condition. However, the prison used all kinds of excuses to disallow his release for medical treatment. He was not released until December 2006. Mr. Bai died on April 23rd, 2007 at the age of 55. -
Trying to Rescue Their Unjustly Imprisoned Husbands, Wives Are Pressured by Their Employers to Divorce Them Instead
2012-08-21Ms. Zhou Xiuzhen and Ms. Li Lemei from Tangshan City, Hebei Province, are married Falun Gong practitioners. Their husbands have been arrested, their homes ransacked, and their personal belongings confiscated. Instead of helping, when the two ladies hired lawyers to defend their husbands, their employers tried to interfere and attempted to force them to “sever their relationships” with their husbands.
