Mr. Huang Chaowu Tortured to the Brink of Death at the Majialong Forced Labour Camp in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Huang Chaowu has been persecuted to the brink of death at the Majialong Forced Labour Camp in Jiujiang City. To force Mr. Huang to renounce his belief in Truth-Compassion-Forbearance, guard Ke Hua and other guards coerced drug addicts to violently beat Mr. Huang by offering them sentence reductions. They told the drug addicts to, "Beat him until he dies. Don't hit the exposed areas; only hit the hidden areas." His father posted bail for him so he could recuperate his health at home. People from the labour camp have been to his home numerous times to harass him. Mr. Huang is emaciated and very weak. -
The Brutal Persecution of Ms. Zhao Jiayu in Chongqing City
2008-10-28Ms. Zhao Jiayu was sentenced to two years of forced labour and was incarcerated from July 19th, 2000, to August 14th, 2002, simply because she wouldn't give up the practice of Falun Gong. On November 4th, 2002, not long after she was released, Chinese Communist Party member Zuo Jin and a dozen others from the local township government and the Jingkou Police Station took Zhao Jiayu to the Geleshan Brainwashing Centre. She was detained and tortured regularly in the centre for one and a half years and was not released until June 2004. On February 25th, 2005, Ms. Zhao was again arrested by Zuo Jin and sentenced to two years forced labour without due process. -
Mr. Yun Fuqi Brutally Tortured in a Detention Centre in Heilongjiang Province
2008-10-28Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Yun Fuqi, 53, was subjected to inhuman tortures while he was held at the Zhanglinzi forced labour camp. Prison inmates tied a big screw nut to a rope, then repeatedly swung the nut at Mr. Yun's head really hard, causing more than 20 wounds to his head. He was also put into a "strict discipline team" for Falun Gong practitioners for over a month He was brutally beaten every day. As a result, he suffered about a dozen bone fractures in his body. -
Mr. Zheng Baohua Beaten and Tortured to the Brink of Death
2008-10-27Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zheng Baohua was arrested by police officers on September 10th, 2008. They then used torture to interrogate him. To protest, he went on a hunger strike and was brutally force-fed. He was finally released when he was on the brink of death. He recounted, "During the time I was on the hunger strike, I was force-fed with salt water every two or three days. While I was in the hospital, a guard told the doctors, 'All you have to do is to keep him alive for another three days. There will be no consequences as long as he does not die in the detention centre.'" -
Ms. Bian Lingyun Developed a Life-Threatening Tumour while in Ganqika Detention Centre
2008-10-27On May 7th, 2008, Liu Changqing police raided Ms. Bian Lingyun's home. They arrested her, ransacked the place, and seized all of her family's belongings, including two bank cards containing several thousand yuan that they had put aside for her son's tuition. Ms. Bian has been detained at the Ganqika Detention Centre in Tongliao City since last May. Recently, she developed a life-threatening ovarian tumour. -
A Village Party Secretary in Hengshui City Persecutes Ms. Li Huanyun
2008-10-27Li Jianru, male, is the Party secretary of Lidezhuang Village in Hengshui City, Hebei Province. During the Beijing Olympics, officials and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Township government ordered him to monitor Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li Huanyun. Instead, Li Jianru directed others from CCP-related departments to arrest her. Two days before they arrested Ms. Li, Li Jianru brought in others to investigate how to get into her home and also examined her satellite dish on top of her house. The day they arrested her, the police parked their car near the village and then walked to her home to arrest her. She is now detained in a detention centre in Wuqiang County. They have sent her case to the local CCP Procuratorate and Court, and she is facing further persecution -
The Persecution of Mr. Yu Shen and His Wife, Ms. Li Wei
2008-10-27On May 11th, 2008, police knocked at the door of Mr. Yu Shen and Ms. Li Wei's home. After the police entered their home, they searched the house and found Falun Gong-related DVDs and materials. They confiscated a bank deposit book with two deposits valued at 40,000 yuan and 2,000 yuan, a computer, and Falun Gong books. They arrested Ms. Li. Mr. Yu and their son managed to escape. The next day Mr. Yu was coming home when he saw from a distance that all the lights in his house were on. He thought his wife had returned home. However, this was a set-up by the police and they arrested him. Mr. Yu and Ms. Li were detained in the Qinhuangdao City First Detention Centre for five months. On August 8th, 2008, the Development District Court held a secret trial, sentencing both of them to three and a half years in prison. -
Guards at Guangshui City Detention Centre Violently Force-Feed Ms. Wang Yanfeng, Resulting in Her Death
2008-10-26On September 24th, 2008, Ms. Wang Yanfeng, a practitioner from Anlu City, was dragged into a room by guards at the Guangshui No. 1 Detention Centre. They violently force-fed her a mixture of flour and water, which made her choke. The force-feeding blocked her oesophagus and respiratory pipes, and she passed out immediately. By 9:00 p.m., when her family rushed to the detention centre, Ms. Wang had died and been left in a refrigerator cabinet. Her body was in a struggling position before she passed away. -
Mr. Liu Xiyong Persecuted Repeatedly in Dalian City
2008-10-26Since the Chinese Communist Party started its persecution of Falun Gong on July 20th, 1999, Mr. Liu Xiyong went to his city government to tell them about the wonderfulness of Falun Gong and the benefits he gained from practising. He was persecuted three times by Shihe police officers and the Shihe Town government. In 2002, he was sentenced to two years and imprisoned at Dalian Forced Labour Camp. During that time, he suffered through torture, being locked up in a small cell, and forced to sleep in a "Dead Person's Bed" for over 40 days. The torture caused him to lose the ability to take care of himself. In July 2008, he was arrested and taken to Sanli Detention Centre. Two months later, the centre still refused to let his family members visit him. -
Policewoman Tortures Practitioners at Kaiping Forced Labour Camp in Tangshan City
2008-10-26Yan Hongli is a squadron leader in Kaiping Forced Labour Camp in Tangshan City. Since 1999 she has been torturing Falun Gong practitioners detained there. She spared no effort and was awarded for her fierceness and cruelty; her "excellence" in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. She was very cruel and well known for beating practitioners' faces. She didn't even try to hide it. In October 2004, practitioner Liu Sujun managed to walk free from the forced labour camp. When she was caught and sent back to the forced labour camp that night, Yan Hongli and other police shocked her with electronic batons and locked her in a secret cell near the Education Department in the forced labour camp. -
Practitioner's Wife Arrested
2008-10-26Mr. Wu Buo is a Falun Gong practitioner from Changtu County, Liaoning Province. On October 1st, 2008, policemen from the Changtu County National Security Brigade and Daxing Township Police Station broke into his home at around 8 p.m. Wu Buo was not at home, so the police took his wife, Zou Dangmei, who is not a Falun Gong practitioner, to the police station, with no apparent reason and without going through any legal procedures. Zou Dongmei was detained at the police station until the next day. This was the second time she was arrested this year. -
Calling for My Mother's Immediate and Unconditional Release
2008-10-25September 4th, 2008, marked the end of my family's peaceful life. Hefei City National Security Bureau officials were responsible for this dramatic state of affairs. My mother received a visa and a ticket and was going to visit my family in the US. Just before her departure, police officers from the Hefei National Security Bureau raided her home, on a mission to suppress Falun Gong. My mother, retired at the age of 56, was forced to endure a week-long secret interrogation and was then sentenced to one year of forced labour, all within just three weeks. Officials from the national security bureau and the police department collaborated to make this happen very quickly. She was sent to the Anhei Province Women's Forced Labour Camp. -
Help Needed to Rescue Practitioner Mr. Tang Yi in Chongqing City
2008-10-25On May 2nd, 2008, Mr. Tang Yi was searched and arrested by police on a train for possessing a Falun Gong book. In June he was sentenced to two years of forced labour. Mr. Tang started a hunger strike and refused to wear a name tag or a prison uniform. They have been force-feeding Mr. Tang through a tube. He had already been brutally persecuted for a long time before, and became extremely weak and emaciated, with his weight dropping from 175 lbs. to about 110 lbs. He couldn't lift his right arm due to tuberculosis of the bone on his right arm, which constantly oozed and bled. His body was completely disfigured, and he looked awful. He was weak and could no longer take care of himself. -
Mr. Sun Pinghua's Account of His Persecution at the Hands of Police from Yueyang City Domestic Security Division in Hunan Province
2008-10-25Mr. Sun Pinghua is 36 years old. He is a machinery repair worker at the Nitrogen Fertilizer Plant in Yueyang City, Hunan Province. He was arrested in March 2008 by the Domestic Security Division and was injured when the police tortured him trying to force a confession. The doctors said that he had no feeling from his left elbow joint to the fingers due to external forces pulling on the arm. If his arm didn't recover within six months, then the arm may need to be amputated. The police took him to the Xinkaipu Forced Labour Camp in Changsha City on August 12th, 2008. -
Falun Gong Practitioners Forced to Perform Slave Labour in Beijing Women's Prison
2008-10-25In the Daxing Women's Prison in Beijing over the past few years, prison police have utilized all forms of brutal, inhumane methods to "transform" [brainwash] Falun Gong practitioners. They have coerced practitioners into performing harsh slave labour to reap higher profits from their products. In the section dedicated to persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, the authorities have forced practitioners to knit clothing and make bags, pencil cases, table cloths, flip-flops and socks. Many times practitioners' hands bled from the labour or they suffered from deteriorating eyesight. Practitioners have also been forced to manufacture products using toxic glue to seal boxes, and many practitioners developed dizziness very soon after doing such work.
