  • Brutality in Xindian Women's Forced Labour Camp in Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province

In March 2005, practitioner Ms. Niu Lanyun was force-fed in the Women's Forced Labour Camp. Guard Liu Zhongmei ordered drug addicts to give Niu Lanyun a hard time. The four dragged Ms. Niu to the labour camp clinic twice a day for force-feeding, and then repeated the routine in the jail cell. They pinned Niu Yulan to the floor, pried open her mouth with a spoon and grabbed her jaws so they could inject food into her throat. This horrible practice made her mouth bleed and her hair was pulled out and spread everywhere on the floor. The guards did not want to hear Niu Lanyun's protest, so they told the criminals to gag her with a towel and handcuff her arms behind her back. More than 70 days of extended torture made Ms. Niu very skinny and weak. The guards did not want to see her die at the camp, so they ordered her family to pick her up
  • Ms. Chen Zhuoyi was Persecuted in a Detention Centre, Mental Hospital and Forced Labour Camp

She went on a hunger strike and was then sent to Baiyuan District Mental Hospital for "treatment." The hospital ordered the drug users to give injections to her. Doctor Chen Dezhi ordered three drug users to beat Ms. Chen Zhuoyi. While they were beating her, they said, "There is no responsibility for beating people to death in a mental hospital. If you continue to practise, we will beat you to death." By then many parts of her body were a dark purple, her ribs were fractured and painful. She had a hard time turning her body in bed. She needed help to get out of bed. After that she got scabies all over her body. Some parts of her body festered and swelled.
  • Exposing the Tragic Experience of Being Expelled from University for Practising Falun Gong

On May 18th, 2007, I put up eight posters exposing the persecution at public places around the university. Two days later the secretary of the Communist (CCP) Youth League asked me to come and see several leaders of the university and the head of security. I became very scared and hesitated to say anything, especially because I had never come across this kind of situation. After half an hour, the deputy head of the Security Department, Chen, presented a piece of paper and a pile of documents. I was dumbfounded when I saw them. I tried to remain calm and not let them notice my fear. Chen said, "You put these up, right? You'd better tell us all the details and do not try to hide anything. We can severely punish you because of this issue." Later the CCP expelled me from University.
  • Brutal Persecution at Jiangxi Provincial Women's Forced Labour Camp

In order to force Falun Gong practitioners to give up their beliefs, one of the common means used by the camp is to confine them in black cells. The guards separately detain those practitioners who firmly believe Falun Dafa into small cells, the area of which is less than 6 square metres. Each practitioner is isolated from the outside and has to complete his daily life in the cell. The cells have very bad smells and practitioners suffer from biting mosquitoes. The guards want to utilise such means to destroy practitioners' will. In order to get more bonus money, the camp implements so-called "fortification fight" (i.e. forced brainwashing). The guards do not let practitioners go to sleep. Without normal rest, some practitioners suffer mental disorders, even mental collapse.
  • The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Persecuted My Parents and Me

Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started to persecute Falun Gong in 1999, they have instilled lies into people's minds about Falun Gong and didn't even overlook the primary school students. The students treated me as an enemy, threatened me, bullied me, and punched and kicked me. Many times I didn't dare to go to school due to the beatings. I reported this to my teacher but he couldn't effectively prevent them from doing bad things to me. My parents have been detained in brainwashing centres and severely tortured. I was traumatised and lagged behind in my studies as a result.
  • Cases of Jinan Forced Labour Camp Officials Persecuting Falun Gong Practitioners

Practitioners who are currently incarcerated are forced to do heavy labour. Regardless of age, they are given high output quotas and are punished if the quotas are not met. The punishment ranges from standing for extended periods of time, writing self-criticism papers, or sleep deprivation. They are subjected to mental torment and physical torture every moment of their incarceration. Ms. Han Aiwen did not cooperate during roll call, so the guards ordered eight criminal inmates to beat her. She was beaten so badly that she let out bloodcurdling screams.

  • Falun Gong Practitioners Unjustly Arrested, Harassed

73-year-old Ms. Chen Ling was unable to live a peaceful life. Persons from the residential committee often interrogated her, "Did you go out today? Did you go to his or her home?" Residential committee Party secretary Ji asked her, "Is Falun Gong good, or is the Chinese Communist Party good?" Ms. Chen Ling was held in a detention centre five years ago, owing to her practising Falun Gong. They handcuffed her, forced her to be photographed and provide her fingerprints. The mental torment she suffered was enormous. Her teeth all fell out and her hair turned white. Four generations in her family were affected. Her husband was frightened so badly that he could not eat anything. Her four-year-old old grandson got sick from fear of the police. Her neighbours said indignantly, "Such a nice lady was arrested and her home raided, just because of practising Falun Gong!"

Because Ms. Ning refused to give her name and address, the Hainan police chief beat her without restraint and handcuffed her to an iron chair for a whole night [Note: Because of the Chinese Communist Party's system of implicating and harassing Dafa practitioners' family members, friends and work associates, practitioners often refuse to give their name and address when they are arrested]. The next day, a police officer came to work and beat her again. Seeing that Ms. Ning was determined and would not yield, he used a glass bottle to pound Ms. Ning's head until only the neck of the bottle was left in the police officer's hand.

  • Years of Persecution and Suffering in the Lives of Ms. Song Guixiang and Her Family of Practitioners from Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province

In July 1999, my mother couldn't stand Jiang Zemin's, [former leader of China and instigator of the persecution] regime's slander of Falun Gong and we decided to go to Beijing to appeal. We arrived in Beijing on July 22nd, 1999, and went to the Appeals Office. The officers didn't allow us to go in. We went to Tiananmen Square on December 16th. My mother sat down and shouted "Falun Dafa is Good!" An officer kicked her fiercely. Her leg was broken and she couldn't stand up. The officers arrested us and sent us back to Jiaozhou City. After they took us back, I was locked in my workplace, my husband was locked up in a nursing home. My son was locked up in a psychiatric hospital, and my two daughters were locked up in the Fu'an Police Station. My mother was left alone at home with a broken leg and no one to take care of her.
