The Persecution of Two Sisters from Suizhou City, Hubei Province

There are two sisters, aged 63 and 57, from Suizhou City, Hubei Province. Both of them are Falun Gong practitioners. During the past nine years of persecution, the two sisters have been fined, imprisoned, beaten, and force-fed in detention many times. They were frequently forced to move and robbed by the police, and their home was frequently ransacked. The people who witnessed and knew of their persecution were chilled: Why is it so difficult for someone to be a good person? Why is someone who retains her belief tortured like this? -
Great Amount of Money Extorted from Falun Gong Practitioners in Liaoning Province
2008-03-21On August 1st, 2007, police from the Lingyuan City Department, arrested 42 Falun Dafa practitioners in Beilu Towship, Lingyuan City. Ms. Hu Yanrong died during the process of being arrested. Ms. Li Cuizhi was tortured so badly she developed a mental disorder. Nine of these practitioners were sentenced. Five practitioners were taken to the notorious Masanjia Forced Labour Camp. Among these practitioners, a great amount of money was extorted from twenty four of them and their families. -
As the Olympics Approach, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Issues Secret Order to Intensify the Persecution of Falun Gong
2008-03-20Mr. Zhang Zhijun, a practitioner from Nanchong City, Sichuan Province, died under mysterious circumstances in Xi'an Prison in Shanxi Province, on February 23rd, 2008. Authorities notified his wife by telephone, but when she arrived at the prison, officials tried to block her from seeing Mr. Zhang's body. Only when she threatened to kill herself on the spot if they didn't obey her demands, was she allowed to see the body. Mr. Zhang's face was swollen. Strangulation marks were visible around his blackened neck. Mr. Zhang's wife demanded an autopsy and went to a law office, but the lawyers told her: "The government has told us [not to accept Falun Gong related cases]. We don't dare to take your case." Prison authorities cremated Mr. Zhang's body the next day. -
Mr. Sun Guanzhou Dies after only Seven Days in Custody in Henan Province

Mr. Sun Guanzhou, 62 and a Falun Gong practitioner, lived in Yuzhou City, Henan Province. On March 3rd, 2008, three domestic security agents and three other agents ransacked his home, claiming they were checking for computer viruses. They instead arrested him and took him to the city detention centre. Only seven days later he was dead. On March 9th Mr. Sun's wife received a phone call to go to the hospital. When she arrived, she saw Mr. Sun's cold body. She was distraught! Agents tried to keep her from the body and tried to force her to sign the papers to have his body cremated. -
Mr. Yu Zhou Tortured to Death, His Wife Detained
2008-03-20Mr. Yu Zhou and his wife, Xu Na, both practitioners, lived in Beijing. On January 26th, 2008, police blocked their vehicle on their way home, arrested them, and took them directly to the Tongzhou District Detention Centre. Eleven days later, on February 6th, their family received notice to come quickly to visit Mr. Yu in the Qinghe Emergency Centre. When his family got there, Mr. Yu was already dead, and his body was covered with a white sheet. A breathing machine mask was still on his face, but his legs were ice cold. The doctor told his family that he died from diabetes after being on a hunger strike. But his family said he had been very healthy and didn't have diabetes. The police requested a quick cremation of his body, but his family refused and asked to have an autopsy done. Their request was denied. -
Ms. Gu Jianmin Dies after Thirteen Days in Custody in Shanghai
2008-03-20Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Gu Jianmin, 53, lived in Shanghai. She was sent to a forced labour camp for one year in June 2006 for distributing leaflets exposing the persecution and telling people the facts about Falun Gong. On March 1st, 2008, she was again arrested by police officers and they tortured her until she died on March 13th, 2008. On March 13th, 2008, an agent of the Pudong New District 610 Office called Ms. Gu's husband, saying that she was not well, and that he should come and process a medical parole. When he found Ms. Gu in the Gastric lavage room, her eyes were protruding, pupils enlarged, and she was bleeding from the mouth, but no one was taking care of her. Her husband knelt down in front of the doctors and begged them to save his wife. The doctor conducted a rather quick attempt at a rescue, then he declared that she was dead. -
Older Practitioner Ms. Xu Huibi Dies after Being Tortured and Overworked in a Chongqing City Prison
2008-03-1963-year-old Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Xu Huibi, was arrested by police at home. Because she did not give them any information or renounce Falun Gong, they detained her in a detention centre and was tortured with brutal force-feeding. The police sentenced her to four years in prison and took her to the Chongqing City Yongchuan Women's Prison. In prison, Xu Huibi was assigned to forced labour in the plant that has toxic gases. It was difficult to breathe, and she was forced to finish a certain amount of work each day. Ms. Xu was brutally tortured until she was very weak, and her feet were in extreme pain, causing her to be unable to walk. On August 31st, 2007, the prison administration finally ordered her family to come and pick her up. She died on March 7th, 2008. -
Ten Deaths from Torture Confirmed in February 2008
2008-03-19Yi Fuquan suffered many prison terms, detainments and tortures after the start of the persecution of Falun Gong and was sentenced to one year of forced labour because he went to Beijing to appeal. On August 19th, 2001, he was arrested at the bus station because police found Falun Gong books and flyers in his possession. He was sentenced to six years in prison. Guards saw that he would not renounce Falun Gong, so they had prisoners put 35 pound ankle shackles on him and forced him to stand out under the burning sun and beat him brutally. It was not until Mr. Yi was in critical condition that the prison agreed to release him on August 8th, 2007. He suffered in pain for another six months, dying on February 13th, 2008, at the age of 45. -
Beijing Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Bai Shaohua Hospitalised for Emergency Treatment
2008-03-19On February 20th, 2008, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Bai Shaohua and Mr. Yang Hui were driving from the urban district of Beijing to Huairou District and were stopped by police for inspection. They were subsequently arrested. On March 4th, 2008, according to someone with inside information, Mr. Bai Shaohua, who was imprisoned at the Huairou District Detention Centre in Beijing, was escorted to a hospital emergency. He has also been imprisoned and brutalised numerous times, including being electrically shocked. -
Mr. Huang Liqiao Brutally Tortured in Several Forced Labour Camps in Tianjin
2008-03-19Mr. Huang firmly believes in Falun Gong and refused to be "transformed". [brainwashed] Unfortunately he became a prime target for persecution at the Shuangkou Forced Labour Camp. The guards tried to force him to learn the prison regulations by heart and take a test, but he refused. Guards brutally beat him. When they were exhausted, they used an electric baton to shock him on his head and chest. His body twitched from the high voltage shocks and he slammed onto the concrete floor. Numerous burn marks appeared on his head and chest. The guards forced him to watch videos that slandered Falun Gong, and instigated other inmates to beat him. -
The Persecution of Practitioner Ma Guobiao and His Family in Shanghai
2008-03-18In December 2002, when Ma Guobiao was at work, Chinese Communist Party (CCP) agents came to arrest him and detained him in Changning District Detention Centre. Later on, they sentenced him to two years of forced labour. In the labour camp, practitioners were imprisoned in a specific group and tortured. Ma Guobiao was shocked with electric batons on his private parts, and tortured with the "Shanghai Style Tiger Bench" (the practitioner is pushed against a wall and several people stretch his legs apart to 180 degrees, while several others beat him and hit him). He was also deprived of sleep. -
The Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners in Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province
2008-03-18On October 12th, 2007, 42-year-old Ms. Gao Chunlian was arrested once again and is still being detained. Her life is already at risk since she became mentally disordered from torture. In April 2001, police arrested Ms. Gao. They held her in the Shijingshan Detention Centre in Beijing for 25 days. She was forced to sit on a stool the whole day. If her posture was not straight, the guards would beat her. Later on, she was transferred to Zhuozhou Detention Centre. Ms. Gao started a protest hunger strike. Chief Wang ordered prison doctor Zhang Yugang to force-feed Ms. Gao. Zhang Yugang inserted a thick rubber tube into Ms. Gao's nose and down to her stomach. When the tube was removed, large amounts of blood followed. The detained criminals who were watching were so upset by this that they cried. She suffered inhuman beating as well. She is now barely recognisable and is close to death. -
More Details Concerning the Persecution of Ms. Xu Hui of Sichuan Province
2008-03-18Ms. Xu Hui, 44, has been persecuted for the last eight years by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). In February 2000, Ms. Xu and a few other practitioners went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. Ms. Xu was arrested and later sent to Chongqing City Women's Forced Labour Camp in Maojiashan for a year. In 2001, Ms. Xu finished her forced labour sentence and went home. The manager of the Security Department of Songzao Mine, Gong Xe, told her to write a letter pledging to not practise Falun Gong, and threatened that if she did not comply, they would either fire her husband from his job or tell him to divorce her. -
The Persecution Suffered by Ms. Wang Xiangling from Chifeng, Inner Mongolia
2008-03-18In March 2000, police went to Ms. Wang Xiangling's home and told her to sign a guarantee statement that she would not practise Falun Gong. Ms. Wang refused. As a result she was taken to a police station, fined, detained for 15 days, and forced to sign a "statement" that abused and slandered Falun Gong. In December 2000, Ms. Wang went to Beijing to appeal for an end to the persecution. She was compelled to become homeless in order to avoid being arrested from home. The authorities issued a warrant for her arrest. They went to her home, her daughter's school, and her relatives to harass them many times. Her daughter suffered both physically and mentally. They also conspired with the secretary from her husband's company to pressure him to turn in his wife. Under such formidable pressure, her husband was compelled to divorce Ms. Wang. -
61-Year-Old Ms. Chen Wen'ai Dies as Result of Persecution in Sichuan Province
2008-03-17Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Chen Wen'ai, 61, was arrested multiple times because she kept her faith in Falun Gong, and she was sentenced to six and a half years in prison after she was arrested on May 25th, 2005. Ms. Chen was detained in the Sichuan Province Women's Prison located in Jianyang City. The Prison Administration released her at the end of July 2007 because she was dying from the brutal mistreatment. Ms. Chen never recovered and died on February 24th, 2008.
