610 Office in Baiding City Arrests Practitioner Ms. Sun Jingsu, a Kind Farmer, Breaking Into Her Home Late at Night

At about 3:30 a.m. on August 29th, 2007, National Security guards from the 610 Office in Baiding City, Hebei Province, broke into the home of Ms. Sun Jingsu. They entered by climbing over a wall and breaking through a window, and then forcibly took her away. They imprisoned Ms. Sun in a brainwashing centre and tried twice to send her to Shijiangzhuang City Forced Labour Camp, but the camp refused to take her because of her health condition. -
How a "Thief" Was Caught
2007-09-24On the afternoon of September 4th, 2007, a plainclothes police officer broke into an apartment rented by a Falun Gong practitioner couple in Quanzhou City, Fujian Province. The practitioners locked the police officer in the apartment, treating him as a thief who had broken into their residence. Subsequently, many armed police officers surrounded the building with guns. They lied, saying that a city authority went to the practitioner's house as a guest and was taken as a hostage and threatened with a knife. The police wanted to break down the door and enter the apartment. The two practitioners spoke out for justice for Falun Gong to the people passing by. The police finally admitted their intention to break in. The police officers outside said, "Please release him, as if you're handing in a thief to police!" -
Ms. Yan Xiaoli Tortured in Brainwashing Centre in Hebei Province
2007-09-23Officers from the Zhuolu County 610 Office arrested Ms. Yan Xiaoli, took her to a brainwashing centre because she was caught exposing the truth of the persecution to people, and tortured her for over a month. Ms. Yan refused to cooperate during the brainwashing sessions. In retaliation, the guards forced her to stand still from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. They cut her meals from two to one per day, and each "meal" consisted of only a steamed bun and some pickled vegetables. On two occasions, the guards bound her to an "iron chair" . She was forced to lie still and was unable sleep for the entire night. The next morning, they forced her to resume standing. The guards shouted obscenities at her if she did not stand absolutely still. She was tortured like this for a week, and then was tortured psychologically. -
The Persecution of 60-Year-Old Feng Detian and Zhang Yumei in Tanbu Town, Mengyin County, Shandong Province
2007-09-23Mr. Feng Detian, 60 years old, had heart disease before he practised Falun Dafa. After Feng Detian started to practise Falun Dafa, he quickly regained his health. His wife Ms. Zhang Yumei also practises Falun Dafa. They both have experienced relentless persecution for holding onto their belief. Feng Detian was detained in the county government building. Seven or eight thugs beat him to the ground with punches and kicks, slapped him in the face, whipped him with a leather belt, and kicked and stomped him all over his body. After that they used a wooden stick to beat him and kept asking him the whereabouts of his wife and the source of the leaflets exposing the persecution in his home. Feng Detian's face was beaten beyond recognition and there was a lump as big as an egg on his forehead. His left leg, from his thigh down to his foot, was covered with bruises. -
Jinzhou City Police Harass and Detain Falun Gong Practitioners (Photo)
2007-09-23On August 25th at around 10 p.m., Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Jing Cuizhen, who is over 60, and Ms. You, who is over 70, were arrested by the police and security personnel when they were distributing leaflets exposing the persecution . They were taken to the Nu'erhe Police Station. The police interrogated Jing Cuizhen attempting to force her to give a confession through torture. Jing Cuizhen was brutally beaten, and her eyes were blue and purple with hyperemia. Her lips were swollen and bleeding. The front side of her coat was covered with blood stains and her hands were cuffed behind her back. The handcuffs dug into her hands. Her hands were badly swollen and her knees were black and blue. -
Authorities at Xi'an City Women's Labour Camp Lace Falun Gong Practitioners' Food with an Unknown Substance for an Extended Period of Time
2007-09-23Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Shulian is locked in solitary confinement where she is forbidden all contact with the outside world, and, two drug-addict prisoners keep her under constant surveillance. At each meal, one inmate opens a capsule filled with a powdery substance and pours the unknown white powder into Ms. Li Shulian's bowl, afterward mixing some broth and vegetables in it. After practitioners eat the vegetables, their stomachs swell. They feel weak, get headaches and nausea. They want to vomit when they see the vegetables. Ms. Li Shulian must have ingested a lot of this poison because she has withered down to skin and bones. -
Belated News: Ms. Li Jiawei Died Due to Mistreatment in Sichuan Province
2007-09-22The Chinese Communist Party began to cruelly persecute Falun Dafa practitioners on July 20th, 1999. In order to speak out for justice for Falun Dafa, Ms. Li Jiawei went to Beijing to appeal for an end to the persecution but she was detained and the police extorted 500 yuan from her. She was arrested and detained again several times for distributing leaflets exposing the persecution and telling people the truth about Falun Dafa. In 2005, Ms. Li Jiawei was again detained for distributing leaflets, and at a hospital, she was forcibly injected with an unknown substance, causing her feet to become necrotic. She died due to a severe infection in her feet in November 2005. -
Persecution-Related Deaths of 11 Falun Gong Practitioners Verified in August 2007

During a mass police arrest of practitioners Ms. Hu Yanrong, 42 years old, jumped out of a police vehicle, seriously injuring her head and consequently losing consciousness. Even though her life was in danger, the police did not notify her family and decided that she needed surgery on her head in the prison hospital. The next day (August 2nd), they notified her family. She died four days later at 2 a.m. on August 5th, 2007, without regaining consciousness after the surgery. -
When Will My Mum Be Coming Home?
2007-09-22"When will my mum be coming home? I miss my mum!" Elementary school student Zhenzhen asks his paternal grandmother and his father, but they always sadly remain silent. On March 28th, 2007, Zhenzhen's mother, Ms. Ma Qingli, was suddenly taken to the Sanlizhuang Detention Centre in Yingyang City by police officers. Zhenzhen is extremely lonely now, and has nightmares. He worries about his mother's safety. Zhenzhen knows his mother is only given a small steamed bun for each meal at the detention centre, which is not adequate. He knows that the practitioners inside the detention centre are all extremely thin. -
Deputy of Jiamusi City Prison Rewards Guards Who Persecute Falun Gong Practitioners
2007-09-22Liu Changyu, the Deputy of Jiamusi City Prison in Heilongjiang Province, is in charge of persecuting Falun Gong practitioners there. In order to get a high "transformation" rate, he announced during a prison guard meeting that guards would get an award of 1,000 yuan for "transforming" a practitioner. He awarded 1,000 yuan to guard Xia Yandong in the meeting. To earn the so-called award, prison guards have brutally persecuted Falun Gong practitioners. -
3074 Deaths Confirmed During the Past Eight Years of Persecution

Ms. Jiang Pai, 30, single, died on June 28th, 2007 at the age of 30 as a result of torture during detention by the agents from Daqing City Police Department, the National Security Department and Procuratorate. She died with 5-kilogramme shackles still on her ankles. Her elderly mother was filled with grief. She cried, "They lied to me, so I encouraged my child to go back to work, but now she is dead. How can I go on living?" -
Mr. Li Xiaoyuan of Shenyang and Four Family Members Died As A Result of Persecution

Four years ago, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Xiaoyuan, 46, was tortured to death in Guanshan Forced Labour Camp of Liaoning Province. He spent the last four years of his life in detention and brainwashing centres, where he was subjected to torture. He was beaten by the team leader and prisoners for a day and night for refusing to wear the prison uniform. During his detention, four of his family members passed away as a result of the persecution. -
Two Female Senior Citizens Arrested in Xintai City, Shandong Province - One Brutally Tortured, the Other's Whereabouts Still Unknown
2007-09-21The Public Security Bureau in Xintai City arrested practitioner Ms. Ying Peikun, in her 60s, again on September 1st. She had been detained in a forced labour camp for two years until released at the beginning of this year. ey forbade her from speaking. If she spoke, they would pull her hair and pinch her mouth and cheek. Her upper teeth were pulled out, leaving her with only four teeth. They sealed her mouth and bound her arms, hands, and legs with tape. They pulled out several clumps of her hair. The day after her arrest, another practitioner from the same village, Zhu Minglin, also in her 60s, was arrested as well. -
The Story of 64 Practitioners from Kunming That Appealed for Justice for Falun Gong in 2000
2007-09-21On April 4th, 2000, 64 practitioners went to the Appeals Office of the Yunnan Province Communist Party Committee to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. Several practitioners represented the group to talk to the staff in the appeals office. They peacefully described the wonders of Dafa and asked to have Teacher's [Teacher Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa] name cleared, for the persecution of Falun Gong to stop, to be able to practise legally, and to have all the detained practitioners released. Half-an-hour later, several police cars arrived, as well as two buses and one mid-sized van. They were taken to their local police stations. Two days later, those who were steadfast in their belief were sent to different detention centres in Kumin City and were detained for half-a-month or one month. Later, over ten practitioners were sentenced to forced labour. -
Older Practitioner Ms. Liu Gaixian from Shaanxi Province Died as a Result of Torture
2007-09-20Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Gaixian, about 55 years old, was arrested in 2001 while distributing leaflets exposing the persecution and telling people the truth about Falun Dafa. She was sentenced to 18 months of forced labour and served her term in Shaanxi Province Women's Forced Labour Camp. She was tortured both mentally and physically there, forced to do 17-18 hours of labour per day, deprived of her right to sleep, and forced to stand facing a wall during the night. Ms. Liu Gaixian was locked up in Shaanxi Province Women's Prison for 16 months as of August 7th, 2006. She endured all kinds of torture, to the point where she could not take care of herself. On October 22nd, 2006, only 75 days after she returned home, she died from the severe injuries she sustained in the prison.
