Persecution of 70-year-old Mr. Han Qichun and Others in Laizhou City, Shandong Province

On March 26th, 2007, five Laizhou City State Security agents stormed into Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Han Qichun's home, who is nearly 70 years old, and arrested him. Inside the Shahe Town Police Station, agents beat Mr. Han Qichun brutally, causing him to have difficulty breathing; he passed out several times in one night, and his life was in danger. He was released after his daughter was extorted of ten thousand yuan in cash. When he returned home the authorities constantly harassed him, so Mr. Han Qichun and his wife were forced to leave home to avoid further mistreatment. -
Ms. Mao Chunxia from Luoyang City, Henan Province Suffers Relentless Persecution; Her Father Dies from Trauma
2007-06-03For refusing to renounce Falun Gong, Ms. Mao Chunxia was sent to a forced labour camp in 2000, where she suffered severe abuse. On December 23rd, 2006, the police officers forcefully ransacked her home and arrested her. Chanhe District Police Department detained Mao Chunxia for 15 days, then she managed to escape. Nobody has known her whereabouts since then. The police often harassed her family members. Her father could not bear the constant pressure. As a result, he fell ill and died on February 7th, 2007. -
The Persecution of Mr. Dai Jun from Heilongjiang Province
2007-06-03After serving a year of forced labour, and a period of being homeless to avoid further persecution, Mr. Dai Jun ended up in Jixi City. He was arrested again for printing and distributing Falun Gong leaflets exposing the persecution on April 25th, 2002. He is now being held at Mudanjiang City Prison in Heilongjiang Province. Guards tortured him around the clock with the “Tiger Bench” torture, force-feeding him with spicy mustard extract, exposing him to cold air, stabbing and burning his feet, cuffing his hands behind his back, kicking and beating him with batons. In order to prevent him from escaping, the police bound his feet with sticks and handcuffs, which caused him much difficulty in walking. -
Jinan Provincial Women's Prison Denies Family Visits - Two Sisters Not Heard From for Almost a Year
2007-06-03On June 24th, 2004, while having a meal together in a small restaurant, Ms. Qu Xiaotong and two Dafa practitioners, Mr. Zhao Weidong, along with Ms. Song Furong, were savagely arrested by several dozen police officers from Taian City. Qu Beibei was also arrested in the following several days. After being arrested the practitioners were tortured by extremely cruel means in attempts to extract “confessions.” This included being injected with drugs that damage one’s central nervous system. The practitioners' bodies and minds were severely tortured. In 2006, when their family visited them, they looked very thin and weak. But since the summer of 2006, Jinan Provincial Women's Prison has not allowed family visits and they have not been heard from since. -
My Memories of Practitioner Ms. Lin Tiemei from Guangxi Autonomous Region
2007-06-03Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Lin Tiemei was a graduate school student. On December 8th, 2005, she died from the persecution at the Guangxi Women's Forced Labour Camp and Mental Hospital. She was only 33 years old. I could not ease my heart when I saw the news on the Internet that Ms. Lin had been brutally persecuted to death. For a long time I could not accept it. The bloody scenes of the two of us suffering inhuman torture in that den of monsters appeared before my eyes one after another. -
Luo Gan Conspires with Shijiazhuang Court to Abuse Power and Turn the Trial of Practitioner Wang Bo into a Show Trial
2007-06-02The case of Wang Bo went to the second round of hearings in Shijiazhuang City on April 27th. Six defence lawyers from Beijing courageously walked out of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) shadow, and bravely pleaded not guilty for the family of Wang Bo. This drew wide attention from international society. The lawyers pointed out 13 incidences of authorities violating legal procedures, and submitted supplementary defence statements. -
Elderly Ms. Zhang Baoying from Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province Dies as a Result of Long-Term Persecution
2007-06-02Because elderly Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Zhang Baoying and her husband Mr. Jiao Yutian both kept cultivating Falun Dafa and following the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance, they were harassed, threatened, and mistreated by their employer, the 610 Office, and local police. Mr. Jiao Yutian died in July 2003, and Ms. Zhang Baoying died on May 20th, 2007 after being harassed, robbed, and threatened with arrest by police officers. -
Three Family Members Arrested; Wife Forced to Have Abortion in Order to be Admitted into Detention Centre
2007-06-02On April 24th, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Zhai Huiling and her husband Mr. Liu Yonghui were arrested by police in Beijing. Two days later, Mr. Liu's mother, Ms. Yang Tiezhen, also a Falun Gong practitioner, was arrested. Ms. Zhai was pregnant at the time and was thus rejected by the Lugouqiao Detention Centre. In order for her to be admitted by the detention centre, she was forced by the police to have an abortion. -
Persecution of Ms. Zhang Wuying from Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province Continues after Her Husband's Death
2007-06-02In 2000, the then five-months pregnant Zhang Wuying and her husband, Wu Dianhui, were abducted and taken to a psychiatric hospital in Changzhou City by the leader of the school where she worked. There, she was tied to a bed and injected with drugs. On May 1st, 2001, Mr. Wu, was sent into the Disciplinary Team in Fangqiang Farm, Dafeng City, Jiangsu Province, where he suffered almost two years of persecution. He was shocked with electric batons until his flesh was burnt, made to do extra-strenuous slave labour, prohibited from sleeping at night, imprisoned in small cells, handcuffed, and beaten up by other inmates in the labour camp. After Mr. Wu was released from the labour camp, and after suffering almost three years of illness, torture, and pain, he died on February 11th, 2006. -
The Persecution of an Elderly Woman from Huili, Sichuan Province
2007-06-01My name is Cui Deli, and I am a 65-year-old woman from Sichuan Province. I have benefited physically and mentally from practising Falun Dafa. Since July 20th, 1999, I have experienced various forms of persecution merely because I chose to uphold my belief in Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, and be a good person. In 2001, the Public Security Bureau stole more than 140,000 yuan, which was loaned money, from my daughter and son-in-law's safe, and told them that they had to investigate before they could return the money. My son-in-law was taken away and detained for a week. But they still didn't return the money. -
Practitioner Ms. Li Guiping Persecuted in Beijing Women's Prison
2007-06-01Ms. Li Guiping is currently detained in Beijing Women's Prison. Right before the 2007 Chinese New Year, at a mandatory meeting for everyone in the prison, Ms. Li shouted "Falun Dafa is good!" After this incident, she was detained in the disciplinary unit for further persecution. During her detainment in this unit, she was deprived of any type of communication with her family. Around May 1st, 2007, her family called an official named Huang to enquire about Ms. Li's condition. Huang told them that she was fine and the prison staff were trying their best to help her. They learned from Huang that Ms. Li had shouted "Falun Dafa is good" again and the prison officials decided to solve the problem "from its root." This only meant one thing: the prison authorities planned to intensify the torture of Ms. Li! -
Exposing the Brutalities at Huanxiling Forced Labour Camp in Jilin City, Jilin Province
2007-06-01Shocking with electric batons, beating with spiked clubs, and kicking and punching is the torture method police used the most. One day at the beginning of March 2001, Li Yingpeng was suddenly called to the office and was shocked with electric batons for half an hour for no reason. During the massive torturing on March 11th, 2001, 37 practitioners of the 50 practitioners on the fourth floor in the Education Team were tortured by more than a dozen police with electric batons and spiked clubs. Bai Jingzhi had fractured ribs. Jiang Mifeng and Song Wenming had their backs injured from the torture. -
Baimalong Forced Labour Camp in Hunan Province Responsible for the Arrests of Visitors to Practitioner Ms. Liu Dan
2007-06-01On May 16th, 2007, four relatives attempted to visit detained prisoner Ms. Liu Dan in Baimalong Forced Labour Camp. A guard working at the camp refused to let them visit that day, because they had seen Ms. Liu the previous week. The relatives argued but were referred to the head of the camp. The official refused visits and accused Liu Dan's relatives of finding people to destroy and expose Majialong Forced Labour Camp. The Shifeng District Police Station was called to take Liu's four relatives and friend away because they had no identification. Mao Xiangtao was detained for five days. Tang Fengying and Liu's friend were each jailed for ten days. -
Ms. Zhang Dexia from Liaoning Province and Mr. Zhao Xinwei from Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region Missing
2007-06-01Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Dexia, in her forties, went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa in 2001. There has not been any further information from her since. Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhao Xinwei was an employee of the Equipment Installation Company (in the jurisdiction of the Urumqi City Petroleum Chemistry Corp), but his whereabouts have been unknown since the persecution started in 1999. -
Art Studio Students Miss Their Teacher Mr. Zhang Yinfu
2007-05-31Tragically, art teacher Mr. Zhang Yinfu was arrested by the public security bureau on April 21st. That night, teacher Zhang finished teaching and chatted with one of his student's parent at 11:00 p.m. when he left his studio. The next morning, the students came to school but their teacher was not there. Teacher Zhang's office had been ransacked and left a mess. Several investigators came to question other teachers (hired by teacher Zhang). At this moment everyone asked, "Where is teacher Zhang?" Finally the news came out that public security was investigating teacher Zhang as a Falun Gong practitioner. No wonder teacher Zhang is so kind, for he practises Falun Gong. Falun Gong is the practice of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The department persecuting teacher Zhang is the Bao Ming Detention Centre Xinan Neighbourhood Security.
