• Merciless Persecution of Practitioner Who Was Raped by a Police Officer in Beijing (Photos)

  On May 14th, 2002, Ms. Wang Ping went to a pond in Beijing to put Falun Gong flyers. A patrol officer saw her and beat her with a plastic baton. She was injured severely and was bleeding from many places. This officer, after brutally beating her, dragged her underneath a bridge in Dongzhimen in Beijing and raped her. The officer then stuck the plastic baton he beat her with into her vagina. She fainted because of the pain. After she woke, she was going to report the officer but he ran away. Two of her front teeth were knocked out and she was severely injured.

• Ms. Li Bin Escapes to the U.S. and Recounts the Psychiatric Abuse She Suffered at Siping Mental Hospital in Jilin Province

  I was arrested in November 1999 at a Dafa cultivation experience sharing conference in Guangzhou City, and the police sent me to Siping Mental Hospital in Jilin Province in January 2000 because I wouldn't give up my belief. I was cruelly tortured. I was sentenced to one year of forced labour in April 2000, and I was subsequently held at Dongcheng Detention Centre, Beijing Labour Reeducation Dispatch Division, and Xinan Women's Labour Camp in Beijing. I rubbed shoulders with death from constant abuse. I arrived in the US in July 2004.

• Exposing Crimes at Tumuji Forced Labour Camp in Inner Mongolia from My Own Experiences

  I was arrested on June 28th, 2004, and sent directly to the Tumuji Women's Forced Labour Camp to serve a three-year sentence. Arriving there, they searched me and my luggage; even the toilet paper was opened. Then they put me into a "reformation group," isolated from all others. I ate in the cell and was followed all the time, even when I was sleeping or going to the toilet. They subjected me to around-the-clock mental torment, tried brainwash me with propaganda, and tried to force me to write the three statements (to denounce Falun Gong). Three female guards and two criminal inmates watched me. I refused to listen to the them and refused to compromise in any way. They got angry and kept on insulting me, refusing to let me sleep.

• Police in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province Arrested 18 Falun Dafa Practitioners Within One Month

  Since October 30th, police in Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province have arrested eighteen Falun Dafa practitioners. On November 25th, four people from the National Security Division of the Police Department in the Xinghualing District of Taiyuan City took Ms. Li Yukun from her home, accusing her of distributing copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party . On November 26th, Ms. Li was imprisoned at the Taiyuan City Detention Centre.

• Ms. Zhang Fengying Missing After Being Persecuted Relentlessly in Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province

  Because she persevered in her practice of Falun Gong and tried to be a good person according to the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance," Ms. Zhang Fengying was arrested, forced to go through brainwashing sessions and tortured numerous times by the authorities of Funing County. Her home was also ransacked many times. In addition, she was sentenced to one year of forced labour and has had thousands of yuan extorted from her by the authorities. Ms. Zhang's whereabouts are currently unknown, and her child and husband are left alone without her, which has brought great suffering to the family.

• Falun Dafa Practitioner Wei Chunping Brutally Tortured at Hubei Province's Qinduankou Prison

  In December 2002, the Jianghan District Court sentenced practitioner Mr Wei Chunping to five years in prison for practising Falun Dafa. In the prison a guard ordered criminal inmates to hang a bucket full of water weighing over 80 pounds by a thin plastic cord around Mr. Wei's neck. They told him not to spill any! As soon as Wei Chunping could no longer hold still and water spilled out, the evildoers beat and kicked him fiercely. They battered Mr. Wei's chest with their elbows and kicked him with the steel ends of leather boots. The beatings sometimes lasted forty hours, sometimes 17 hours without any break. The guards forced Wei Chunping to perform heavy labour on a regular basis and also subjected him to brainwashing.

• Falun Dafa Practitioners Speak Out against Slanderous Accusations in Longshan District Court in Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province

  On December 6th, 2006, the Longshan District Court of Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province put nine Falun Dafa practitioners on trial. These nine practitioners spoke out righteously against the slanderous accusations. Mr. Zhao Yan stepped forward. After being detained for nearly eight months, this young man's weight had gone from 200 pounds to 150 pounds. His face was very sallow. He was asked, "Do you admit to all the crimes you have committed?" He answered, "No, cultivating Falun Gong is an innocent act!" The Judge was very angry and ordered, "Record what he says!" After more than three hours, the Court session concluded without resolution.

  Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Ren Guangxin, 48, lived in Benxi City, Liaoning Province In December 2003, Mr. Ren was arrested in Tongyuanpu Town, Fengcheng City, Liaoning Province. Because he refused to cooperate with the authorities, he was beaten to death by local policemen. His family members saw that his body was covered with bruises and his chest was especially black. It was tragic to see. Due to the information blockade, further details are yet to be investigated.

• Six Falun Dafa Practitioners from Chongqing, Liaoning, Hunan and Other Locations Who Died as a Result of Persecution

  Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Peng Chengrong, age 65, was frequently persecuted since July 20th, 1999. In January 2000 she was arrested by the police while distributing leaflets exposing the persecution, and detained for six months. In July 2001, she was again jailed for a week for explaining the facts about Falun Dafa to people. Since then, local police and village government agents harassed her, forcing her to leave home and wander about. During this period both her physical and mental health became seriously damaged. She passed away on November 30th, 2006.

• Mr. Shi Baoqi Dies in Police Custody after a Dozen of Practitioners Arrested in Taiyuan City

  Around a dozen Falun Dafa practitioners in Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province have been arrested in the past month. On November 13th, 2006, police stormed into practitioner Ms. Li Caiyun's home and arrested Mr. Shi Baoqi. A witness saw that he was covered with blood after the arrest Mr. Shi was tortured severely during detention. On December 5th Mr. Shi Baoqi died suddenly after an intravenous injection in the police hospital at age 40.

• Ms. Jiang Yirong Died from Effects of Long Term Persecution

  After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began the persecution in 1999, Ms. Jiang Yirong was detained and much of her family's property was confiscated several times because she was explaining the facts about Falun Dafa to others. Police threatened her and took her to be brainwashed many times. In May 2006, Ms. Jiang was arrested again and taken to a brainwashing centre. She developed liver cirrhosis symptoms after the long-term persecution and passed away on December 2nd.

• Falun Dafa Practitioners Tortured in the Fifth Division of Jidong Prison in Hebei Province

  Mr. Ge Huaiqiang is an expert radiologist. Because he practises Falun Gong, he was sentenced to four years in prison and detained in the Fifth Division of Jidong Prison. The guards once deprived him of sleep for five days and nights. If he closed his eyes, they would incite criminal inmates to push his head into water. When he was on the salt-shovel team, the guards forced him to carry bricks and do intense labour, even when his leg muscles were injured. He has appealed many times but no one has responded.

• Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioners at the Tianjin First Prison

  "Transforming" practitioners has been linked with rewards for prison guards and the reduction of prison terms for prisoners. I once shared a cell with Mr. Song Yuanshan, a 59-year-old practitioner. One morning when he was just getting up from bed, he was slapped repeatedly in the face by prisoners. When I told the gang not to slap him, they beat me severely. Later, they beat me over and over until both my head and hands were bleeding and my face was swollen. Several of them suspended me on a double bed and then stepped on me with their full body weight so that my thighs became black and blue and I couldn’t walk. I had wounds all over my body. They then locked me in a small room for more than three months.

• The Persecution Suffered by Practitioner Ms. Zhang Junying in Jilin Province

  57-year-old Ms. Zhang Junying has been detained and persecuted many times since 1999. In 2001 she was sent to Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp because she was reported for exposing the persecution and telling people the facts of Falun Dafa. The camp forces practitioners to watch videos that slander Falun Dafa and try to force practitioners to write the so-called "Four Statements" to renounce the practice. Practitioners who refuse to write the statements are deprived of sleep and forced to stand near the wall and do manual labour. Ms. Zhang was tortured both mentally and physically until her vision became blurry.

• 2,500 Family Members of Falun Gong Practitioners Jointly Sign Letter Exposing Atrocities at the Baimalong Women's Forced Labour Camp

  Ms. Li Jiaju, in her fifties, was nearly killed at the labour camp when she arrived there in January 2006. The guards force-fed her with faeces and urine. They shoved a sanitary napkin and filthy towel inside her mouth. They deprived her of sleep and use of the toilet, and made her stand up or squat for long periods. They also poured cold water on her in the winter until she lost consciousness. They beat her when she came to and taped her mouth so she could not make a sound. She is currently near death, but the labour camp refuses to release her.
