Police from the Wuhan City Police Department Intentionally Hit a Falun Gong Practitioner with a Car, Arrested Him and Sent Him to a Forced Labour Camp

On August 22nd, 2007, at an intersection along the Qiaokou section of Jinghan Avenue, Wuhan City, Hubei Province, a car deliberately knocked a motorcycle rider to the ground while turning into the road from Jinghan Ave. A man, later known to be surnamed Kang, came out of the car and grabbed the victim. That man and several others knocked the victim to the ground and then arrested him. The arrested man was 32-year-old Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Min Changchun. Upon arriving at the labour camp, the guards only read to him a notice, saying that his forced labour term would be one and half years to January 21st, 2009, and declared without evidence that he had "obstructed the execution of the law." Mr. Min asked them, "I was going to work like normal. Why do you beat me, arrest me and sentence me without due cause?" All they said was, "You know the reason." -
Police in Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province Extort Money and Valuables from Practitioners
2007-11-30Since August 2006, Lingyuan City Police Department have committed over 20 arrests, seizures of personal property, and extortions from Falun Gong practitioners. More than 70 practitioners were personally affected. More than 40 practitioners suffered direct losses of totalling over 346,000 Yuan in cash. Family members of the arrested and harassed Falun Gong practitioners were squeezed for money for their efforts to rescue their loved ones. They were forced to deplete their savings, and some were forced to borrow money. Wang Guilin was the most unscrupulous. He demanded money from and coerced practitioners and their family members directly. -
Imprisoned Practitioner's Daughter Writes a Letter Asking for Help

Ms. Wang Chunyan, a respected entrepreneur from Dalian province and the deputy general manager of Dalian Kanglai International Freight Company, has been repeatedly persecuted for practising Falun Gong. She was arrested and is currently in detention. The police beat her husband resulting in a deep laceration to his skull and he died in hospital. Her daughter has been separated from her mother now for more than 70 days. -
Falun Dafa Practitioners Arrested by Ningxia 610 Office Agents
2007-11-29As the 17th Chinese Communist Party National Congress began, Ningxia 610 Office agents reopened a brainwashing facility that had been closed for more than three years. To enable the authorities to arrest Falun Dafa practitioners, they resorted to the most despicable and sinister means. They resorted to fraud, coercion, threats and other outrageous means to arrest practitioners. Practitioners Mr. Ma Zhiwu and Mr. Zheng Yongxin were sentenced to six years in Guyuan Prison. They began hunger strikes to protest their imprisonment and persecution. Because of the tremendous pain and grief caused by nearly 8 years of persecution, Mr. Zheng's family was broken up. -
The Persecution of Mr. Yan Hequan and Mr. Shi Wenshui in Laishui County, Hebei Province
2007-11-29For refusing to give up Falun Dafa, on August 27th, 2002, Mr. Yan Hequan, 45, was forcibly arrested by a group of policemen. Mr. Yan was imprisoned in a detention centre. In the detention centre, the evildoers attempted to extort a confession from Mr. Yan by means of torture. He was handcuffed and forced to sit on a "tiger bench" for a long period of time. In the autumn of 2002, he was unlawfully sentenced to an 11-year imprisonment term by the court. Because of their financial hardship, their eldest daughter, 17, was forced to drop out school and get a job away from their home. -
Elementary School Teacher Ms. Qi Yunping Faces an Unjust Jail Sentence
2007-11-29Ms. Qi Yunping is a teacher at Sujima Elementary School, Haixing County of Hebei Province. The police there, led by the head of the county social security division, Wang Minghao, arrested Qi Yunping at her home on July 23rd, 2007. They ransacked her home and took away her PC, printer, and other items. During the whole process, the police didn't show any legal papers. It is said that the case is currently handed over to the court, and the procuratorate and courts are trying to sentence her to jail. Her 13-year-old son is left at home alone. -
Songyuan City National Security Team in Jilin Province Interrogates Practitioners Using Torture and Ransacks Their Homes
2007-11-28On October 13th, 2007, the Songyuan City National Security Team arrested practitioners Mr. Xu Yangang, leaving his wife and several-month-old baby alone at home. His wife could not live in the ransacked home. Police had also broken the window. She went with the baby to her parents' home. When she returned after a little more than a few days, all their personal belongings, including furniture, had been stolen. According to her landlord, the police stole everything. The landlord then terminated her lease. Mr. Xu's wife could do nothing in face of this reprehensible behaviour on the part of the police. -
Jilin City Police Officers Attempt to Drug a Falun Gong Practitioner
2007-11-28Ms. Li Yan (pseudonym), a 36-year-old Falun Gong practitioner was arrested on November 13th, 2003. During the interrogation, they confiscated Ms. Li's personal belongings, including an expensive watch and jewellery and a bank book. A policeman sat Ms. Li on a metal chair and handcuffed both her feet tightly to the chair. Then he asked her if she wanted to eat. Yu Haitao opened a can of rice porridge and turned his back to Ms. Li so that she couldn't see what he was doing. Yu Haitao then turned back to face Ms. Li, stirred the rice porridge with a spoon a couple of times, and told her to eat. Ms. Li spotted a small empty paper bag, the same size as a sugar bag. Ms. Li told them she wasn't hungry and didn't want to eat. -
Elderly Woman from Dengzhou City, Henan Province Persecuted for Refusing to Give Up Falun Gong
2007-11-28I am a 75-year-old woman. Since the persecution of Falun Gong started in July 1999, I have been imprisoned twice because I refused to renounce or give up the practice. Just because I refuse to give up my belief in Falun Gong and I want to follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance to become a better person, the Chinese Communist regime plans to sentence me to seven years in prison. Let me ask a question: Which country in the world has this type of law?! Does any article in the Chinese Constitution justify such treatment? I am now forced to leave my home and go into hiding. Nevertheless, my family, relatives and friends continue to suffer from severe harassment by the police. -
Persecution Destroys Family of Xuyong County Practitioner Ms. Li Yunsheng
2007-11-28Sixty-year-old Ms. Li Yunsheng began practising Falun Dafa with her husband Mr. Gan Zongji in 1997. Public Security authorities frequently broke into Li's home to harass the couple, and took over the house many times. They also closely monitored them, controlling everything including the mail and attempted to force them to "transform," and give up the practice by threatening to eliminate their source of income. Ms. Li's husband suffered a mental collapse, became seriously ill, and passed away in October 2003. The police attempted to arrest Ms. Li and take her to the Public Security Bureau. Li was forced to leave her mother and little girl, and is homeless. -
Ms. Lan Guiqin from Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia, Brutally Tortured
2007-11-27In 2002, police broke into the home of Ms. Lan Guiqin and arrested her. In Hexi Detention Centre, because Ms. Lan insisted on practising the Falun Gong exercises, she was subjected to the "Pig chain" twice, first for seven days and then for six days. When someone is tortured with the "Pig chain," both wrists and ankles are chained together less than twelve inches apart. She could not straighten up her back, put on her clothes, use the toilet, or sleep. The torture is extremely painful. She could not do anything but stay in that position. To protest this abuse, Ms. Lan went on a hunger strike both times. -
Elderly Mr. Long Lianzheng Died under Persecution
2007-11-27Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Long Lianzheng, 70, persisted in practising Falun Gong after the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started the persecution of Falun Gong on July 20th, 1999. In February 2001, five policemen tried and failed to open Mr. Long's door with a master key, so they smashed his metal security gate and the front door, rammed a large hole through his wall, and forcibly took Mr. Long to the Wangcun Forced Labour Camp. He was subjected to brainwashing sessions there. He was tortured with brutal force-feeding and several of his teeth were knocked out. He was tortured with various other means including the "Dead Person's Bed." After 6 months, Mr. Long was diagnosed with bone cancer, and he was released on bail for medical treatment. His old sicknesses recurred, and he died on November 2nd, 2007. -
Wang Lihua and Bi Jiankai of Rongcheng City, Shandong Province Sentenced to Forced Labour for Three Years
2007-11-27Falun Gong practitioner Bi Jiankai went to practitioner Wang Lihua's home. Wang Lihua's neighbour Song Yongping reported this to the community office. Police officers broke into Wang Lihua's home and confiscated two laptop computers, 20,000 yuan, and two Satellite TV receiving systems, and arrested them. Wang Lihua and Bi Jiankai were sentenced to three years of forced labour. They were subjected to inhumane torture in the detention centre. Guards hung Bi Jiankai from a window frame for over five hours, which caused her to lose consciousness. Wang Lihua was also subjected to hanging and electric shocks. -
Facts About the Persecution of Falun Gong at Yangjiang Prison in Guangdong Province
2007-11-27Over the years, officials at Yangjiang Prison have imprisoned and tortured scores of male Falun Gong practitioners. Currently, there are between 20 and 30 practitioners still held there. News from inside the prison has revealed that the prison officials use extreme torture techniques to coerce Falun Gong practitioners into giving up their beliefs. Falun Gong practitioners' core principles are Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance. Many officials seek rewards from their government for successfully persecuting these practitioners. One can only wonder how torturing good people into giving up their faith can produce any good results. -
Mr. Ni Wenkui, 45, Died as a Result of Torture and Abuse in Daqing City

Mr. Ni Wenkui, 45, was a Falun Gong practitioner. The police sentenced him to three years in prison in June 2003. During that time, he suffered inhuman abuse. He was often beaten and not allowed to sleep. In the last ten months of his life, he was in a vegetative state and could not take care of himself. Mr. Ni died on November 12th, 2007.
