Elderly Practitioner Gu Jingshan in Heilongjiang Province Dies after Prolonged Persecution

Mr. Gu Jingshan, 63 years old, was arrested while posting materials exposing the persecution. He was imprisoned at the city detention centre for five months, his body was seriously injured, and the symptoms of a stroke he had before reoccurred, severely limiting mobility in both of his legs. During this time he was infected with scabies and was released. At this time, the scabies spread over his whole body, oozing pus and dripping fluids, and the painful itching made him extremely uncomfortable when he scratched them. For this past year local police officers frequently went to his home to harass and threaten him. Due to the pressure, Gu Jingshan's health deteriorated and he died on February 25th, 2006. -
Six Practitioners from Jilin, Liaoning, Heilongjiang and Shandong Provinces Who Died as a Result of Persecution
2006-07-04Ms. Qian Xiuying was sixty-two years old. On January 1st, 2001, she went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa. She was arrested but managed to get away from her captors. On Chinese New Years Eve, malicious people from her community, along with the local 610 office and the local police substation arrested her and sent her to the Fushun City Forced Labour Camp. They tried to brainwash her there. After she came out, she continued to distribute materials exposing the persecution. She was sent to Masanjia Forced Labour Camp twice. Unable to withstand the relentless abuse, her health deteriorated and she died on April 9th, 2006. -
Zhuozhou Rapist He Xuejian Sentenced; Justice Still Not Served in the Case of Victim Liu Jizhi (Photos)
2006-07-03The Baoding City Intermediate People’s Court in Hebei Province recently conducted three secret trials concerning the case in which a policeman from Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province raped two Falun Gong practitioners on November 25th, 2005. The court finally delivered a judgement: Defendant He Xuejian is guilty of the rape charges and is sentenced to eight years in prison. He is also guilty of indecent harassment of women and is sentenced to three years in prison. The court decided he would serve eight years of imprisonment. -
Brother and Sister Appealing for Their Mother Are Beaten by Police on the Street (Photo)
2006-07-03Because Ms. Zhu Yan practises Falun Gong, her residence has been illegally searched several times and she has been detained several times. Her children went to beg the labour camp officials to release her. They told them to go petition those who arrested her. If they agreed, they would release her. On June 12th, 2006, the two young people went outside the local police station and held up a banner which read "Illegal Imprisonment, No Doors Open for Appeal, Having a Belief System Is Not a Crime." The police beat them in public. One kind-hearted on-looker went up and said, "It is illegal for police to beat people, especially two innocent young adults." -
About Rao Deru, the Young Daughter of Falun Dafa Practitioner Rao Zhuoyuan from Guangzhou City

Rao Zhuoyuan was arrested and detained in forced labour camps and mental hospitals several times. He was tortured to death on August 5th, 2002, at age 34. At the time, his daughter Rao Deru was only four and a half years old. Before her father's death the 610 Office detained Deru's mother in a brainwashing centre in order to prevent her from speaking out about the abuse. -
Shijiazhuang Forced Labour Camp Tortures Falun Dafa Practitioners To Disability
2006-07-03One practitioner with the surname Wu was brutally beaten and hung up with ropes. Steel needles were hammered through his fingers, the joints of his four limbs and his toes were smashed with a hammer, his entire body was shocked with electric batons, and two chopsticks clipped together were used to crush his fingers. A practitioner with the surname Bi used to be the instructor of a police station. He was strong and tall. Now, due to the torture of being forced to stand for long periods of time, he has become paralysed in the lower half of his body, causing loss of control over urination and bowel movements. -
Seventy-Four-Year-Old Practitioner from Sichuan Province Sent to Brainwashing Three Times
2006-07-03I am a 74-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner. Since the persecution began on July 20th, 1999, the local police have arrested and detained me any time they wanted and brutally abused and persecuted me while I was held in detention. While I was held at the Mapingba Brainwashing Centre two officers grabbed my hair and started to beat and kick me. My arms turned black and blue and swelled from the beating. They subsequently handcuffed me to the monkey bar. I was forced to stay under the scorching sun for several hours. They beat me every few days and "baked" me, as well as verbally insulted me. I almost lost consciousness from dehydration. The police were vicious and completely devoid of human nature. -
Practitioner Mr. Lin Shusen from Beijing on a Hunger Strike for Over One Year; Currently in Critical Condition
2006-07-02At the end of April 2005, 32-year-old Mr. Lin Shusen was arrested. On January 23rd, 2006, the Xicheng District Court of Beijing sentenced Mr. Lin to five years in prison because "in 2004, Lin used his real name to publish a Minghui/Clearwisdom.net website article, which revealed the persecution that he and other Falun Gong practitioners in Qianjin Prison suffered." Mr. Lin appealed, but the appeal was rejected. -
Young Teacher Dies after Suffering Cruel Torture at Jinzhou City Labour Camp in Liaoning Province
2006-07-02Mr. Zuo Zhongyou was a 36-year-old teacher. He was twice sent to a forced labour camp for his belief in Falun Dafa. A criminal inmate said, "Now we have orders from higher up to beat them (practitioners) anyway we want." Then they started a round of unrestrained violence against Zuo Zhongyou. After long-term abuse and persecution, he suffered a great deal of physical and mental trauma. His heart, lungs and kidneys deteriorated and he suffered brain damage. Zuo Zhongyou passed away on May 29th, 2006. -
A Practitioner from Hubei Province Recounts the Persecution She Suffered
2006-07-02My name is Rao Mianhua. I'm 41 years old now. In October, police dragged me to their police car and again took me to Shizishan Forced Labour Drug Addicts Rehab Camp in Wuhan City. The leaders in that camp got a 10,000-yuan bonus if they "reformed" a Falun Gong practitioner. Hence, they treated practitioners very cruelly. Practitioners were forced to take cold water showers in all seasons, summer or winter. On one occasion, the section head locked up all of the practitioners together. Our hands were all cuffed together behind our backs. After that, one by one, we were taken to the guard chamber to be shocked with electric batons. I felt numb after being shocked. -
Mr. Lu Yongchang Dies as a Result of Torture, His Family All Detained
2006-07-02Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Lu Yongchang, in his 70’s, lived in Jilin Province. He developed liver disease from being tortured in a detention centre and was thereby released because of his condition. He died between August and September 2005. Mr. Lu Yongchang's wife, Song Shuqin, and daughter, Lu Guixia, were both sentenced to four years in prison, and are now detained in the Changchun City Women’s Prison. -
Practitioner Mr. Deng Weinan from Heilongjiang Province Was Persecuted to Death in 2001
2006-07-02In August 2001, practitioner Mr. Deng Weinan was persecuted to death at the Harbin City Public Security Bureau. On July 31st, 2001, a gang of policemen arrested Mr. Deng in his apartment. He was brought to the Falun Gong special task team on the twelfth floor of the Daoli Division of the Public Security Bureau to be persecuted. On the morning of August 1st, Mr. Deng was persecuted to death. The police announced to the public that he had committed suicide by jumping out of a window and incinerated his corpse hurriedly. Mr. Deng was only 26 years old. -
Practitioner Liu Xiaoming in Changsha City on Hunger Strike for Many Days, Rescue Effort Is Urgently Needed
2006-07-01In May, Falun Dafa practitioner Liu Xiaoming, who was a carer for eighty-year-old teacher Tang Xi, was looking after Mr. Tang while he was hooked up to an IV at a treatment centre. Ms. Liu took out a Falun Dafa book to read . A staff member saw her and reported her to the authorities. Liu Xiaoming was arrested by the police. Ms. Liu has since gone on a hunger strike to protest against the detention and persecution. Rescue efforts are urgently needed. -
The Persecution Facts at the Heilongjiang Women's Prison
2006-07-01On March 10th, 2004, practitioners were handcuffed behind their backs and hung on the railing of their bunk beds. Among them, six practitioners were hung up until they lost consciousness. Prisoners put fast-acting heart rescue drugs into the mouths of practitioners and then hung them back up. Ms. Xu Jingfeng was subjected to this torture for longer than any other practitioner. The handcuffs cut deep into her flesh and she was unable to remove them. Several practitioners were hung with their hands behind their backs in a manner that did not permit laying down to sleep. -
Eyewitness Account of the Brutal Torture in Hulan Prison
2006-07-01On September 20th, 2004, seven fellow practitioners and I were transferred from Heilongjiang Province Xingjian Prison to Hulan Prison. Guards tried to force us write the "Four Statements" to renounce Falun Dafa. Guard Xu Wenlong incited prisoners to cruelly beat practitioner Mr. Liu Zhigui and I. They forced us to lie on the floor with our faces touching the ground and put blankets over our heads. Two prisoners held our legs, one prisoner sat on our backs, one prisoner stood in front holding down our heads, and then our arms were pulled backward, causing our arms to be damaged so badly that we couldn't use them for over a month.
