Belated Report: Four Falun Gong Practitioners in Hubei, Hebei and Henan Provinces Have Died as a Result of Persecution

Ms. Luo Jiazhi, 62, was a resident of Wuhan City. In July of 2001, she was arrested by police chief Peng Xianguang along with Liu Sanhei, Yu Guoqiang, and others, from the Erqiao Police Station of Hanyang in Wuhan City. She was detained in the Taojialing brainwashing centre, where she suffered brutal torture. On the 9th of February in 2002, she was released. After returning home, the police kept Ms. Luo under close surveillance, taking away her personal freedom. Every time she went outside, they forced her to undergo a body search. In June of 2002, she passed away. -
Ms. Liu Guohua Passed Away in February 2004 Due to Stress from Long-Term Persecution
2004-12-26Ms. Liu Guohua, 61, the wife of retired Beijing Machine Tool Institute employee, Ge Peijun, passed away on February 28, 2004. Both Liu Guohua and her husband were arrested and jailed for more than a month before being released.Her death was the result of being frequently harassed by the authorities, and by her husband's persecution in a labour camp. These caused her long-term mental stress, which led to the recurrence of an old illness. -
Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Liu Ziwei Dies from Torture at Changchun City's Chaoyanggou Forced Labour Camp
2004-12-26Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Liu Ziwei from Jilin Province was sent to the Changchun City Chaoyanggou Forced Labour Camp on October12, 2004. He had been on a hunger strike the whole time so as to protest his unjust incarceration, and suffered inhuman tortures including being confined in a solitary compartment, force-feeding and a method called the "Big Hang Up", because he remained firm in his belief. Liu Ziwei died as a result of torture on December 13, 2004. -
55 Year Old Outstanding Teacher Ms. Zhang Chunlan Died as a Result of Torture at Dalian City's Forced Labour Camp - Belated News
2004-12-26Ms. Zhang Chunlan was 55 year old outstanding teacher from Liaoning Province. As she was persistent in practising Falun Dafa, Zhang Chunlan was sentenced to forced labour for two years and was sent to Dalian City Forced Labour Camp. She was forced to do heavy labour, and the living conditions there were extremely terrible. Under these conditions, and being isolated from the outside world, her health was seriously damaged. Ms. Zhang's weight dropped to about 34 kilos (75 pounds) from about 70 kilos (154 pounds). She died tragically on August 29, 2003. -
Practitioner Ms. Liu Lianfeng from the Chaoyang District of Beijing Was Tortured to Death in 2001
2004-12-25Ms. Liu Lianfeng, 43 years old, was a practitioner from Chaoyang District of Beijing. In July 2000, Sunhe Town Police sent her to the Chaoyang Detention Centre where she was tortured into unconsciousness and taken to hospital. In the hospital, she was injected with unknown drugs and became paralyzed and bedridden. The torturers released her, after recognizing the severity of her condition, on home-detention. On October 20 2001, she passed away due to the persecution. -
67 Year Old Ms. Zhang Yunan from Jilin Province Died as a Result of Police Harassment in 2001
2004-12-25Ms. Zhang Yunan, who was from Changchun City, Jilin Province, became healthy from practising Falun Dafa, but, since the persecution began in 1999, she became fearful because of harassment from the police. Because of the long term mental torment and continued threats, she did not dare to practise Falun Gong. She died as a result of the persecution at the beginning of 2001. -
A Young Woman in Gansu Province Describes the Persecution She Suffered and Demands an Investigation
2004-12-25Ms. Zhang Ping is a 35-year-old professional from the former Gansu Provincial Trust Investment Company, Stock Exchange Department. She is suffering from persecution merely because she persists in adhering to the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance" and clarifying the truth of Falun Gong to the government. Ms. Zhang says of her experience in detention, "Only because I shouted, "Falun Dafa is good," police brutally bashed my forehead. My mouth and nose bled profusely and my ears buzzed loudly. Policeman Wei Dong even tied my mouth and my neck with a piece of cloth that was one meter wide for four to five hours, which nearly suffocated me to death." -
Shanghai Apartment Buildings Turned into Virtual Prisons in Order to Block the Distribution of Falun Dafa Informational Materials
2004-12-25As part of their effort to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners, officials in Shanghai are turning residential apartment buildings into "prisons" in order to block the distribution of materials that clarify truth about Falun Dafa. Following the policy of suppressing Dafa practitioners even more deviously while trying to hide the facts of the persecution to the outside world, these officials make accomplices out of innocent people such as gatekeepers, retired communist party members, lift operators, janitors and maintenance staff. -
A Call for Support: Associate Professor Zhang Mengye, a Former Classmate of Hu Jintao, Is Pursued by the Police
2004-12-24Falun Dafa practitioner Zhang Mengye is 66 years old. He was an associate professor at Guangdong Province Institute of Electric Industry. He was also a classmate of Chinese president Hu Jintao at the Water Conservancy Engineering Department in Tsinghua University in 1959. Zhang Mengye has retired from the Institute and is now working for a private company. Lawless government officials have abducted and persecuted him on many occasions because he practises Falun Gong. On December 13, 2004, the police again tried to abduct Zhang Mengye and his wife, Luo Muluan. They have been in a stalemate with the police for four days. -
Practitioner Mr. Mu Xingbo from Changchun Dies After Facing Years of Persecution
2004-12-24Mr. Mu Xingbo, 28 years old, was a practitioner from Changchun City, Jilin Province. He was pursued by the police for telling people the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong. He had been living away from home for a long time to avoid being arrested and as a result, his health was damaged. He died on October 12, 2004. -
The Persecution by Jiang Zemin's Regime Has Taken My Elderly Uncle's Life
2004-12-24"Uncle Wang was from my hometown. He was suffering from bone marrow cancer. Doctors considered him terminally ill and sent him home to die. One day a neighbour, a Falun Dafa practitioner, told him miraculous stories of Falun Gong and brought him a book. That day was a turning point in his life. He accepted the principles of Falun Dafa and thus his health and character improved dramatically. When the persecution of Falun Dafa started, my Uncle Wang gave up practising out of fear. His old bad habits and ill health returned, he went to hospital and never came out. My Uncle Wang left us in sadness and sorrow. It was Jiang Zemin who took away his life." -
Memories of 51 Year Old Ms. Li Ling, a Practitioner from Liaoning Province
2004-12-24Due to inhuman and long-term persecution, practitioner Ms. Li Ling died on November 17, 2004, at Liaoning Province Women's Prison. Ms. Li was only 51 years old. Not long before her death, Li's husband visited her at the prison, he found her hair was very long and almost white. Although her body was very weak due to torture she had received, she remained steadfast in her faith. Upon her death, during discussions with the prison officials, her family members told the officials that they knew Li was tortured to death, although she had not committed any crime. -
Practitioner Han Ye from Shenyang City Passed Away As a Result of the Persecution in 2003
2004-12-23Falun Gong practitioner Han Ye, was a resident of Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. He had suffered from a blood disorder since he was young. He told of the drastic improvement in his health in order to testify to the goodness of Falun Gong. He went many times to appeal to the Liaoning provincial government and to peacefully appeal in Beijing. However, he was arrested many times. To avoid harassment and arrest, he was forced to leave his home and become homeless. Han Ye's health deteriorated and his old health problems reappeared. On January 23, 2003, he passed away. -
Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Liu Yongqi from Jilin Province Dies Within Three Days of Being Sent to Chaoyanggou Forced Labour Camp
2004-12-23Falun Dafa practitioner, Mr. Liu Yongqi from Baishan, Jilin Province died from the consequences of brutal torture on December 13, 2004 at the Chaoyanggou Forced Labour Camp in Jilin Province. This happened on the third day after he was unlawfully taken there for custody. He could be heard shouting "Falun Dafa is good" throughout the whole night, before his death. The details of the tortures Mr. Liu Yongqi had to suffer before his death are not yet available as the labour camp authorities have blocked any information regarding Mr. Liu's death. -
Mr. Luo Xiaolong from the Xinjiang Autonomous Region Died in 2003 as a Result of the Persecution
2004-12-23Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Luo Xiaolong from the Xinjiang Autonomous Region was about 29 years old and had lived in Shihezi City. Between 2001 and 2002, he was arrested by police, along with practitioner Wang Jianhong, for distributing a lot of Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials. He suffered brutal tortures and was later sentenced. In about July 2003, as Luo Xiaolong was at the brink of death, the prison had to allow him to go home for medical treatment. He died soon after he returned home.
