• Mr. Zhu Xizhen from Huangma Township, Nanchang County, Jiangxi Province Died as a Result of Persecution

  Mr. Zhu Xizhen, 55 years old, is a farmer from Huangma Township, Nanchang County, Jiangxi province. On September 23, 2004, while he was visiting friends and relatives, the police illegally detained Mr. Zhu at the police station in Huangma Township. Two days after he was sent back home, he lost consciousness and died on December 7, 2004.

• Senior Official Mr. Feng Min Died from Persecution

  Mr. Feng, who was 75 years old, was an official at the bureau level in Tianjin. Previously he had undergone heart bypass surgery before practising Falun Gong and at that time was in poor health. In 1994, his health greatly improved as he began practising Falun Gong. Shortly afterwards, he eliminated all of his illnesses and saved his organisation hundreds of thousands of yuan worth of medical expenses. He died from police harassment and threats for practising Falun Gong. The exact date of his death is not available.

• Ms. Huang Bing from Dalian City Dies as a result of Persecution

  Ms. Huang Bing, 26, was a Falun Gong practitioner from Xudatun Village, Xingtai Town, Pulandian, Dalian City, Liaoning Province. She used to suffer from leukemia, but after she took up the practice of Falun Gong, she completely recovered. She was thrown into Pulandian Detention Center. During her more than one month detention, Ms. Huang was severely tortured. As a result, her nose kept bleeding non-stop. The detention center didn't want to take any responsibility, so they released her. Under the tremendous pressure, Ms. Huang passed away around 9:00 on the night of February the 4th 2004

• Two Falun Gong Practitioners from Yunnan and Hebei Provinces Persecuted to Death in 1999 and 2002

  After Jiang's regime started to persecute Falun Gong on July the 20th 1999, Mr. Chen Jianzhong's workplace and the "6-10 Office" forced him to go through brainwashing many times. On November the 4th 1999, frightened by the intimidation during brainwashing, Chen Jianzhong fell from his chair to the ground. He spit out foam from his mouth and half of his body was paralysed. He was sent to the factory-affiliated hospital for emergency rescue. However, despite the rescue efforts, he died the same night, at the age of 65.

• The Orphaned Children of Practitioners Ouyang Wei and Zhao Xudong

  Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Ouyang Wei, 32 years old, lived in Lanzhou, Gansu province. On October the 16th 2002, three people from Aning Police Station, State Security Team tricked him into opening his door by telling him that they were his colleagues and that they wanted to take him to the police station to investigate something. At noon, the three policemen took Ouyang Wei back home and said to his family that they would take him to "study" for a few days. They sent Ouyang Wei to Gansu No. 1 Labour Camp for one year of forced labour.

• 62-year-old Practitioner Ma Jinfeng from Hebei Province Dies After Years of Abuse and Harassment

  Mr. Ma Jinfeng, a 62-year-old from Juyang Township, Sanhe City, Hebei Province, started practising Falun Dafa in November 2000. For the past four years, he has been subjected to repeated persecution. Under this tremendous pressure, he died on September the 20th 2004. The local police still came to his home in an attempt to harass him the day after he died.

• Practitioner Ms. Qi Xueping Passes Away As a Result of Persecution

  Ms. Qi Xueping, 48, was a Falun Gong practitioner from Bailing Village in Xiahuai Town, Pingshan County, Hebei Province. In early 2000, Xiao Suilong and other policemen from the Political Security Section of the Pingshan County Police Department arrested her. She was confined in the Pingshan County Detention Center and persecuted.

• Qiqihar City Practitioner Li Huifeng Appeals to Court Regarding Persecution He Experienced

  On January 22, 2001, Qiqihar City Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Huifeng was taken away by the police. In July 2001, he was charged and sentenced to 12 years in prison by the Jianhua District Court. Mr. Li appealed to a higher court according to the law, but the Qiqihar Mid-level Court went so far as to write in their verdict that Mr. Li accepted the initial ruling and withdrew his appeal.

• Belated Report: Three Falun Gong Practitioners Die As a Result of Persecution

  Mr. Liu Zhaohui, in his 30s, was a resident of Gao'an, Jiangxi Province. In early February 2002, Mr. Liu was again sent to Jiangxi Province's No. 2 Forced Labour Camp (also known as the Gaoan Forced Labour Camp). He launched a hunger strike to protest his illegal detention and died days later, right after the Chinese Lunar New Year.

• Ms. Zhu Xiyu Suffers Mental Collapse from Torture at Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp

  Ms. Zhu Xiyu, formerly an accountant for the Dongbeiya Company in Yanji City, Jilin Province, has been detained in the No. 4 Squad of Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp for more than one year for persisting in her practice of Falun Gong. There, she was tortured to such an extent that she now appears to be psychologically detached, mentally impaired and unable to take care of her own basic personal needs.

  Ms. Zhao Shuyuan is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Karamay City, Xinjiang Province. She has been illegally sentenced to nine years in prison for appealing for justice for Falun Dafa. She was illegally imprisoned in Xinjiang Province Women's Prison from the beginning of 2003. When The prison guards used all kinds of methods to brainwash her into renouncing Falun Dafa. They repeated the "brainwashing class" again and again, but Zhao Shuyuan still persists in her belief.

• Practitioner Yang Guang in Changchun Is Cruelly Tortured and Imprisoned in the "Naked Area" of Jilin Prison

  Yang Guang is a Falun Dafa practitioner in his fifties from Changchun City, Jilin Province. Because he upheld his belief in Falun Dafa, authorities illegally sentenced him to a long prison term. The seventh office of the Changchun Police Department attempted to extort a confession from him by cruelly torturing him. Police beat and tortured him, and eventually broke his right leg. Mr. Yang's thigh bone became numb and he was paralysed.

• Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Ma Dexuan from the Wuqing District of Tianjin in China Died in 2003 at the Ji County Forced Labour Camp as a Result of Torture

  As Mr. Ma considered himself innocent he went on a hunger strike as a form of peaceful appeal against the unlawful persecution he was being subjected to. Despite his extremely weak physical condition, the labour camp authorities handcuffed and shackled him, and then carried him to a vehicle to be driven to the Ji County Labour Camp for continued abuse. Mr. Ma died within days of arriving at the forced labour camp.

• Falun Dafa Practitioners Ms. Zhu Xiuqing and Ms. Zhang Shuhua from Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province Die as a Result of Excessive Persecution in 2000

  Blood and pus were excreted from her breast continuously. When it was hot, the odour was strong and she could not take care of herself. However, the police refused to release her despite repeated requests from her family and refused her any medical treatment. Finally she was released when she was near death. She died as a direct consequence of the persecution at the end of November, shortly after her release.

• Female Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Yang Lifan Harassed and Persecuted to Death in 2002

  The police took Master Li's picture (the founder of Falun Gong) and the phone book and, when nobody would open the door, they took the mirror off of the door and the fuse from the electric box, which cut off the electricity. The factory director, deputy director and staff from her workplace harassed her non-stop. They also harassed her son if she refused to open the door. After two years of relentless persecution and being unable to practise the exercises or study the Falun Gong teachings, her health deteriorated until she was not even able to lie down. She passed away on the 23rd of July in 2002.
