Fearing Exposure, Forced Labour Camp and Prison Officials Refuse to Release Practitioners Who Have Been Persecuted to the Brink of Death

Since the persecution of Falun Dafa began in July 1999, guards and police in China's forced labour camps and prisons have tortured many illegally imprisoned practitioners to the brink of death because they refused to give up their belief in Falun Dafa. They do not release the injured practitioners earlier because they are afraid the practitioners will expose the crimes at the camps and prisons. They often release practitioners just when they are about to die, to prevent the death from being counted in the prison or labour camp statistics. They also hope to hide their evil conduct. This is the typical Communist Party pattern of "untruthful, evil and violent" behaviour. -
Police Arrest Falun Gong Practitioners on Tiananmen Square for Displaying Banners and a Westerner Is Assaulted for Taking Photos
2005-01-03A woman who came from Jilin to appeal said, "In the past, nobody dared to mention Falun Gong but now everyone is talking about it. They say that Falun Gong is not like the government claims." She said she had witnessed police officers pulling practitioners' hair and beating them; however, the practitioners said nothing and showed what "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance" was all about. -
Falun Dafa Practitioners Ms Yu Xiuying from Hebei Province and Ms Liang Guirong from Sichuan Province Died as the Result of the Persecution
2005-01-0350 year old Ms. Yu Xiuying from Hebei Province was healed of breast cancer through Falun Dafa practice. However due to intense brainwashing, torture and harassment by police, the cancer that had been in remission came back. Unfortunately she died on November 2, 2004. 36 year old Ms. Liang Guirong lived in Sichuan Province. She went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa in 2000, was arrested in Tiananmen Square and tortured beyond recognition. She died on May 13th 2002. -
Dafa Practitioner Mr. Wei Xu of Gansu Province Has Died as a Result of Persecution
2005-01-03Mr. Wei Xu, 66 years old was detained in a Detox Centre for over a year because of his participation in Falun Gong truth-clarifying activities. As a result of the physical and mental torture he endured, he suffered a recurrence of the severe high blood pressure and leukemia, which had been cured previously by his practice of Falun Gong. Because of frequent harassment from the local police, Mr. Wei's condition worsened and he passed away at the end of October 2004. -
Practitioner Ms Jiang Cuilan Tortured to Near Death in Gaoyang Forced Labour Camp
2005-01-03Ms. Jiang Cuilan, 58, from Hebei Province has been persecuted for the past few years for practising Falun Gong. On October 2004, the police abducted her and took her to the Gaoyang Forced Labour Camp in Baoding City. Continuous torture has emaciated Ms. Jiang and put her life in danger. -
The Brutal Beatings and Torture I Experienced in Dabei Female Prison
2005-01-03“My name is Zhang Wei. I was unjustly sentenced and sent to the Dabei Women's Prison in Shenyang City just because I practise Falun Gong. In the prison, I was subjected to unbelievable physical and mental torment. The prison has become the tool of a brutal dictatorship. When my parents came to visit me I felt sad as they had aged beyond their years due to worry about me. When they noticed how much difficulty I had walking they both cried.” -
Ms. Yang Baozhen of Qian'an Township in Jilin Province Died from Persecution
2005-01-02Ms. Yang Baozhen, 55 years old, was a retired employee of Dabusu Department Store, Qian'an Township, Jilin Province. She was sentenced to a forced labour camp for one year. During her labour camp detention, she showed heart disease symptoms and was released on bail for treatment. Yang was under close surveillance and was harassed after her release. She was forced to leave home and went from place to place to escape further persecution. As a result, Yang suffered greatly physically and mentally and passed away on November the 8th 2004. -
Ms. Lu Xuesheng Detained for Writing to Shandong Provincial Party Committee Secretary Requesting Her Son's Release
2005-01-02Shandong Province Falun Dafa practitioner Lu Xuesheng from Zouping County Taizi Town, is over 60 years old. She has been illegally arrested, detained and sent to labour camps many times. Her most recent detention resulted from writing the Shandong provincial party committee secretary Zhang Gaoli a letter to explain the truth about Falun Gong and to request the release of her son, Wang Zikang, also a practitioner. Since July the 20th 1999, Lu, her daughter Wang Xin, and her son Wang Zikang have all been arrested, detained and sent to labour camps, but they have never given in to the pressure to renounce Falun Dafa. -

A Family Tragedy: Mr. Bi Wenming is Tortured to Death, His Parents-in-law Die from the Stress of Relentless Persecution
2005-01-01Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Bi Wenming, his father-in-law Huang Zhiyi and his mother-in-law He Chunmei who lived in Longxi County of Gansu Province in China have died as a result of the ongoing persecution against Falun Gong. The guards at Dingxi Prison brutally beat Bi Wenming and repeatably shocked him with electric batons, which directly resulted in his death on the 3rd of September in 2004. At the time of his death his body was covered with scars and bruises. -
The Epoch Times: 9-Year-Old Orphan of Deceased Falun Gong Practitioners Raped Daily in a Beijing Mental Hospital
2005-01-01Ms. Liu said that each night, three guards would come to the ward she shared with two other "patients." They'd gang rape a 9-year-old girl, an orphaned daughter of a Falun Gong couple. The girl was so traumatised and devastated that she couldn't even walk and urinated and defecated on her bed. -
Sichuan Falun Gong Practitioner Li Jingjie Died as a Result of Persecution
2004-12-31In 2001, Li was arrested after he was reported to the authorities while attending an experience-sharing meeting conducted by other practitioners. At the office of the National Security Brigade of the Public Security Bureau in Langzhong City, he was severely tortured with electric batons, which caused him to jump from the third floor. His backbone was fractured from the fall, and both of his ankles were badly injured. Even after hospital treatment, he was still unable to walk. -
Mr. Yin Genwang from Beixi Village of Xicun Township, Shenzhou City, Hebei Province, Died Due to the Persecution
2004-12-31Mr. Yin Genwang turned 69 in 2004. He has actively distributed information after Jiang's regime began to persecute Falun Gong on July 20, 1999. Consequently, his house was unlawfully ransacked. As some Falun Dafa books and other Falun Dafa materials were found, he was brutally beaten. They also extorted 1,000 yuan from Mr. Yin. On November 13, 2004, Mr. Yin passed away as a result of the persecution. -
Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Dong Guang'e from Honghu City, Hubei Province Has Died Due to Persecution
2004-12-31Ms. Dong, 40, began practising Falun Dafa in 1999. She had twice appealed in Beijing. On March 15, 2004, the local 610 Office and Xindi Town policemen attempted to abduct Ms. Dong from work. Fortunately, someone informed her beforehand, and she escaped. The 610 Office kept on pursuing her, and Ms. Dong had to abandon her home. She passed away on November 30, 2004. On October 15, 2004, another practitioner, Chen Heping, also died due to persecution.
