Benxi City "610 Office" Ordered Mass Arrest of Nearly 50 Falun Gong Practitioners on September 18, Causing One Death

70-year-old Ms. Wang Lianying, a retired officer, lived in Benxi City. She used to practise Falun Gong. But after the persecution began on July 20, 1999, she gave up the practice out of fear. At 11:30 p.m. on September 18, 2004, police broke into her room and took her away. The police told her family that they would investigate her and send her back very soon. The next morning around 6:00, Ms. Wang's husband went to the police station to ask for his wife back. he was told she was sleeping. Not until 1:40 that afternoon did the police tell him that his wife had died. When her family saw her body, they found blood all over her nose and face, and also her clothes were covered with vomit. Half of her face was very swollen. -
Elderly Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr Zhang Sixi from Ningxia Province Dies as a Result of Persecution
2004-10-23Mr. Zhang Sixi, 58 years old, was from Ningxia Province.In July 2003, he was arrested again for distributing materials telling the truth about the persecution of Dafa. He was sentenced to three years and detained at Guanmahu Forced Labour Camp. In February he suddenly had a stroke due to the long-term torture. The labour camp feared he might die in the camp, so they sent him home. He passed away on August 21, 2004. -
Mother And Son Harassed to Their Death in Sichuan Province
2004-10-23Mr. Xie Wenbi, in his fifties, and his mother Mrs. Li, who was over 80 years old, lived in Suining City, Sichuan Province. In 2001 someone in the same village reported Wenbi his sister-in-law and the "610 Office" and the local police station arrested them. he was detained for six months. His health was extremely poor after he got home, but the police continued to harass him for a long time. The police also threatened Wenbi's mother, demanding that she tell them where her daughter-in-law was. The older woman was very frightened and upset. She died in March 2003. In July 2004 Wenbi also died from the long-term police harassment and persecution. -
Photographic Reenactment of the Brutality at the "Reformation Centre" in Shandong Province
2004-10-23Many Falun Gong practitioners and kind-hearted people have been cruelly persecuted at The "Reformation Centre" set up by the town government of Weifang City. One torture method: The perpetrator sat on the neck of an elderly Falun Gong practitioner in such a way that the practitioner's head was almost touching the floor. The torturer then used a broom to fiercely whip the practitioner on the back. -
Practitioner Huang Wenbiao's Wife Harassed and Disappears While He Was Imprisoned in Forced Labour Camp
2004-10-22In 2000, defying the severe environment of unlawful persecution, Mr. Huang and his pregnant wife, Ah-Ping, journeyed to distant Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. They were both arrested by Public Security and transported to a detention centre, where Mrs. Huang was soon to have a miscarriage as a result of the torment inflicted upon her. Mr Huang was sent to a labour camp in 2001. At the time, Mrs. Huang had just given birth after her second pregnancy. His wife left the baby with her mother-in-law in Guangxi and chose to leave home to avoid near certain arrest. She made a phone call to a practitioner, after which she has never been heard from again. -
Further Information on the Murder of Dafa Practitioner Ms Zhang Zhibin at the Kaiping Forced Labour Camp
2004-10-22Ms Zhang Zhibin, 32, was a practitioner living in Hebei Province. She was murdered on December 18, 2000 at the Kaiping Forced Labour Camp in Tangshan City. The guards falsely claimed the cause of her death to be suicide, and coerced her family to go along with it. Zhibin's relatives had to strongly protest before they were allowed to pay last respects to her body and visit the site of her murder. They observed that there were no signs of suicide by hanging as the authorities claimed, but Zhibin's chest showed very large patches of dark colour. -
Practitioners Yang Depeng and His Wife Are Sentenced to Forced Labour - Their Young Son Is in a Very Difficult Situation

Yang Zhenyu was born in November 2001. He was a very lovely and active boy, but now he has become very silent. A child who is not yet three years old has changed so drastically, because his parents were sentenced to forced labour for practising Falun Gong. Now little Zhenyu has to be taken care of by his grandparents who are old and weak and have several illnesses. -
A Practitioner's Child Says "I Need My Mum!"
2004-10-22My name is Ping An, and I am a middle school student [in China]. However, I was forced to leave school because my mother is a Falun Dafa practitioner. Since July 20, 1999--when the persecution of Falun Gong started--until today, I have been living in horror, worry and fear. Because my mother practises Falun Gong, the local government officials forced my parents to divorce. Since then, my mother and I have had a difficult and worrisome life. It was even worse during the time when mother was not at home. Seeing children in other families play with their mums or go shopping together, or hearing other children calling their mums, I could not hold back my tears. -
Practitioner Dies After Going Through Unbearable Suffering from Persecution
2004-10-21Mr. Niu Xigong, a conscientious citizen and a person who used to suffer from severe illnesses and who had benefitted greatly from practising Falun Gong, could not bear the pressure any longer after many instances of persecution. The long-time physical torture and mental torment had pushed Mr. Niu's endurance to the limit, and in the evening of August 28, 2004 he passed away, leaving behind his loved ones. -
Additional Information about Peng Guangjun's Murder at the Beijing Tuanhe Forced Labour Camp
2004-10-21Mr. Peng Guangjun lived in Huairou County, Beijing. On January 15, 2004, he was transferred to the Tuanhe Forced Labour Camp from the Beijing Forced Labour Camp Distribution Centre, which is part of the Department of Forced Labour Education in Beijing. On January 22, 2004, when the labour camp was holding the flag-raising ceremony in front of all prisoners, Peng Guangjun loudly shouted, "Falun Dafa is good!" He suffered violent beating, electric shocking, and sleep deprivation, and was tortured to death within less than four days. -
Chinese Practitioners Reenact Torture Methods Used in Jiamusi Forced Labour Institute, Heilongjiang Province (Photos)
2004-10-21Torture method: Sitting on stool, hands shackled to a heating pipe: In this torture, the victim is ordered to sit on a small stool with both hands handcuffed to heating pipe behind him or her. The warden will order the practitioner to sit for seven days continuously, without sleep. After such a long time of keeping same position, the victims' arms will become swollen, and the back will be injured and in extreme pain. After being deprived of sleep for as long as seven days, victims have a high probability of becoming mentally disoriented. -
"610 Office" Chief Poisons Young Students with Lies
2004-10-21Recently, Lu Guocheng, "610 Office" director, personally arranged for and forced the children of some company employees, who are in primary and secondary school, to fill out a "Falun Gong's situation investigation chart" and also compelled them to take a stand against Falun Gong. This is how Lu Guocheng implants lies and hatred into innocent children. [Note: Big enterprises in China often have their own primary and secondary schools for the employees' children.] -
Sichuan Province Practitioner Mr Guan Xuehe Dies of Torture
2004-10-20Mr. Guan Xuehe was a 50 year old ironsmith from Sichuan Province. At the end of March 2003, he was sentenced to three years of forced labour. Before he was taken to the labour camp, he was brutally beaten by police at the detention centre. The beating was so brutal that he could not even stand up. Under the tremendous physical and mental persecution, he developed lung cancer around July 2004. The labour camp sent him home, fearing that he might die in the camp. Yet he died in hospital on October 4, 2004. -
Practitioner Ms. Chen Lijun from Zhengzhou City Is Tortured to Death
2004-10-2040-year-old practitioner Ms. Chen Lijun from Henan Province, was detained twice at Shibalihe Forced Labour Camp in Zhengzhou City. During her detention at the forced labour camp Ms. Chen suffered from all kinds of torture, including "Tying the Ropes". The prison guards and criminals punched her chest, abdomen and private parts. They stuffed human excrement, feminine napkins and dirty rags into her mouth. Ms. Chen died on September 29, 2004. -
Mr. Tan Guoyi from Heilongjiang Province Dies As a Result of the Persecution of His Family
2004-10-20Mr. Tan Guoyi, a practitioner from Heilongjiang Province, suffered constant harassment and persecution by the police. He missed his son, who was also a practitioner and who had been sentenced to nine years in prison. Mr. Tan's fourth daughter was sentenced to 3 years in a forced labour camp. Tan had many worries. Mr. Tan has two young grandsons who needed to be taken care of, and his wife was ill. His health condition got worse and eventually caused his death on July 3, 2004, at the age of 67.
