The World Takes Solid Steps to Oppose the Persecution by Accepting its Victims

Canada's Prime Minister Paul Martin raised the issue of the persecution of Falun Gong when he met with Hu Jintao on September 9th, 2005. Within two weeks, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li Weixun was successfully rescued from China, thanks to further help from Friends of Falun Gong, the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the US Congress, US State Department and some other NGOs. She obtained UN refugee status and was brought from Shenyang City to the US. She safely arrived on September 21st. -
Letting Go of the Attachment to Selfishness
2005-10-05Many fellow practitioners that were close to me also heard them and felt uneasy about them. However, I was not moved. Thinking as a cultivator, I should not be moved by negative factors. I must keep my character high. Was it because I did not study the Fa well these days? The answer was no. Was is because I did not do enough exercises and send forth righteous thoughts? The answer was again no. I sent forth righteous thoughts at least eight times a day and also did the exercises every day. What was the reason for these rumours? I felt frustrated. -
An Open Letter to Western Society from a Falun Gong Practitioner in China
2005-10-04Falun Gong practitioners simply will not relinquish their belief in the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance." They have no political agenda. Their very yearning for goodness scares the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), which claims that China's human rights situation is now the best ever. However, the "best" by CCP standards only means that citizens have the right to survive. Basic human rights are in fact not protected in China. -

2005-10-04In addition to human censors, all Web site-hosting services have also installed keywords filtering software. Posts on politically sensitive topics, such as Falun Gong, human rights, democracy, and Taiwan independence are routinely filtered. A list obtained by the Berkeley China Internet Project last year found that over 1,000 words, including "dictatorship," "truth," and "riot police" are automatically banned in China's online forums. -
International Rescue Efforts Show Defeat of Chinese Communist Party's Lies

Ms. Li does not have any family in the United States. This is not just a matter of Ms. Li beginning a new life in which she can freely practise her faith, but a statement by the international community of support for Falun Gong. -
The Hong Kong Administration Needs To Revisit Rationality
2005-10-03This irrational contempt of the court began with the illogical actions by the Hong Kong government in February 2003, when Hong Kong practitioners held an experience sharing conference. Eighty Falun Gong practitioners from Taiwan travelled to Hong Kong to attend the event. Without explanation, the government barred all eighty practitioners from entering Hong Kong. This is an contemptible human rights violation by the Hong Kong government who behaved as a puppet of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). -

2005-09-29On the second day, the village accountant passed by. He stopped his truck and said, "Thank you very much, Falun Gong practitioners! It has been a headache to pass this section. The ditch made it very hard to drive. If you go too fast, the bumper may be damaged. If you go too slowly the engine dies. If anyone comes again to arrest practitioners, we will help you and stop them." He then joined us in repairing the road.
