Austria: Austrian Media Reports on the Lawsuit Against Jia Qinglin
2004-09-09On September the 1st, one of Austria’s most important newspapers “The Standard” also reported about the lawsuit of Jia Qinglin on the day before he went to see the Austrian Premier and President. The article said that after Falun Gong was banned in China in 1999, hundreds and thousands of practitioners were detained and many of them tortured to death. -

Sweden: A Series of Anti-Torture Exhibitions in Gothenburg Exposes the Brutal Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners in China
2004-09-08Swedish practitioners held the last in a series of three anti-torture exhibitions outside the administrative offices of the Gothenburg City government. Visitors attracted to the exhibitions were indignant when they saw the torture methods used to force Falun Gong practitioners to denounce their belief. Many signed a petition calling for the Swedish Government to condemn this persecution. -
Austria: Criminal Charges Brought Against Jia Qinglin
2004-09-08Under the guidelines of the UN Convention On Torture, an unusual lawsuit was filed on Monday with the State Prosecutor's Office in Vienna. In the suit, a lawyer for the "International Society for Human Rights“ and the "International Society for Threatened People“ argues that a Chinese Communist Party politician currently visiting Austria is one of the main parties responsible for the persecution and oppression of Falun Gong. Jia Qinglin, former Party Secretary from Beijing and current permanent member of the Politbureau, arrived last night at the airport in Salzburg. -
Russia: Introducing Falun Gong and Exposing the Persecution in Ussurisk City
2004-09-08One of the guys told us that they had bought the Russian version of Falun Gong, the introductory text of Falun Dafa, in Vladivostok some time ago. They had read it three times. All they discussed all day was the content of Falun Gong, but they still had some questions. They could not practise the exercises correctly either. So they were very happy to see us distributing materials about Dafa. Meanwhile, the other guy ran back with Falun Gong in his hand. -

EFGIC: Chinese Government Official Sued in Spain for Crimes of Torture and Genocide
2004-09-06'LONDON [EFGIC]– On September 2nd a criminal lawsuit was filed in the Spanish Courts against Chinese official, Jia Qinglin, accusing him of crimes of genocide and torture against practitioners of the exercise and meditation system of Falun Gong in China...The plaintiffs in the lawsuit are 15 Falun Gong practitioners, who have suffered either directly or indirectly, by way of their family members being persecuted in Beijing, during the time Jia Qinglin was in office.'' -

Holland: Letting People Know about Falun Dafa at Rotterdam Chinese Festival
2004-09-06The annual Rotterdam Chinese Festival was held this year on the 28th and 29th of August in Chinatown. The streets were crowded with Dutch citizens. With their leaflets, Falun gong practitioners went to Chinatown and hung a “Falun Dafa” banner and distributed leaflets about the persecution in China while playing Dafa music and demonstrating the exercises.
