  • Holland: Letting People Know about Falun Dafa at Rotterdam Chinese Festival

    The annual Rotterdam Chinese Festival was held this year on the 28th and 29th of August in Chinatown. The streets were crowded with Dutch citizens. With their leaflets, Falun gong practitioners went to Chinatown and hung a “Falun Dafa” banner and distributed leaflets about the persecution in China while playing Dafa music and demonstrating the exercises.
  • Spain: Fifteen Falun Gong Practitioners File Lawsuit for Genocide and Torture Against Jia Qinglin, President of the National Consultative Committee of China

    On September 2nd a criminal lawsuit against Jia Qinglin was filed in the "Audiencia Nacional" of the National Spanish Court system in Madrid. Jia Qinglin is accused of crimes of genocide and tortures against practitioners of Falun Gong in China. The lawsuit was filed with the authorization of 15 practitioners, who in their majority suffered either directly or indirectly, by way of their family members being persecuted in Beijing during the time Jia Qinglin was in office.

    'VIENNA - Yong Wang has lived on a permanent residency status in Austria for more than ten years. He attained a Business Administration Degree in Vienna, is employed as a software developer, and married a native Austrian last year, with whom he had a baby. Unfortunately, the thirty-two year old Austrian of Chinese descent has serious problems: At the beginning of July, he applied for a passport extension at the Chinese Consulate in Vienna, which was refused.'
  • Longest Established Radio Station in Chile Interviews a Falun Dafa Practitioner from Finland

    "The practise improves the physical health a lot, for example it relieves tensions and anxiety and increases energy and vitality very much. There are plenty of studies that have been done at different hospitals around the world, with impressive results. Falun Dafa has received many recognitions around the world. For example, Master Li Hongzhi has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Price for the last three years for having introduced the practise to society."
  • Germany: Introducing Falun Dafa and Exposing the Persecution at the Dresden City Festival (3)

    From the 20th to the 22nd of August 2004, Dresden in Germany held its annual city festival. Tens of thousands of people came to the streets to watch the different types of performances. German Falun Gong practitioners were invited to the festival and performed on the stage twice a day for forty minutes each time.
  • Ukraine: "The Path of Compassion" Picture Exhibition Successfully Held in Lviv City

    Between the 11th and 19th of August 2004, Ukrainian practitioners successfully held an exhibition of photographs entitled “The Path of Compassion” in Lviv City. The exhibition served to help people understand Falun Dafa cultivation and the persecution that is taking place in China.
  • Austria: Falun Dafa Information Centre and International Human Rights Association hold a Joint Press Conference

    On August the 31st 2004, the Austrian Falun Dafa Information Centre and the Austrian International Human Rights Association held a joint press conference about filing a lawsuit against Jia Qinglin. In the press conference, a spokesman for the Austrian Falun Dafa Information Centre revealed the persecution that Jia has enforced on Falun Gong practitioners.
  • Sweden: Falun Gong Invited to Participate in Stockholm Cultural Festival

    On the weekend of August the 29th, there was a large Swedish/Italian cultural festival held in Gamla Stan in Stockholm and Falun Gong practitioners were invited to perform. At the same time a three-language photo exhibition was displayed for passersby, who included many tourists.
  • Russia: Photo Report - Introducing Falun Gong in a Moscow Park

    Practitioners introduced Falun Dafa in a park in Moscow. While some performed traditional-style dances and demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises, other practitioners revealed to passersby the extent of the persecution of Falun Gong taking place in Mainland China and collected signatures to bring it to an end.

    Between August the 20th and August the 22nd, German Falun Gong practitioners took part in Dresden’s annual City Festival. Practitioners were invited to perform for forty-five minutes on the stage twice every day. Also, practitioners at two stalls told people about Falun Gong and the persecution between participating in the dance performances.
  • Article from Austrian Newspaper “Bezirksblatt”: Why a Chinese Citizen is no Longer Allowed to be Chinese

    'The consulate justifies their refusal to extend his passport by saying that he practises and supports Falun Gong. Mr Wang has asked for a written explanation from the consulate but this has been denied so far. Mr Wang would most likely experience confinement to a forced labour camp and torture should he ever decide to return to China. Refusing to issue or prolong passports is often used to make life difficult for Chinese citizens abroad or to force them to return to China. Several cases of refused passport applications have previously cropped up in many European countries and now also in Austria.'

  • Falun Gong Practitioners File a Lawsuit Against Jia Qinglin During His Visit to Austria

    After visiting Korea, Jia Qinglin arrived in Austria on the 30th of August 2004. During his visit, the Austrian Falun Dafa Association, the International Human Rights Association, the human rights organisation ‘Society For Threatened Peoples’, many individuals, and Falun Gong practitioners who were persecuted in Beijing filed a lawsuit against Jia Qinglin in the Vienna Procuratorate for crimes of torture and also for his crimes in the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.

    Five weeks after the South African shooting incident, on the day when new and old MEPs on duty exchange their tasks, we came to the European Union Parliament House. To begin with we brought 1000 English and 600 German press releases concerning the South Africa incident. Little did we know that they would all be distributed by the next day.
  • United Kingdom: Practitioners Hold Anti-Torture Exhibition in London's Trafalgar Square

    After the successful conclusion of the sixth UK Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference in London on 29th of August, UK practitioners organised an anti-torture poster exhibition in London’s famous Trafalgar Square the following day. The exhibition exposed some of the cruel methods used to torture Falun Gong practitioners in China.
