  • EFGIC: Landmark Genocide Lawsuit Against Jiang Zemin on Firm Ground, Says Appeal Filed Today

    Dr. Terri Marsh, lead attorney in the ground-breaking lawsuit against former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin and the 6-10 Office, filed a 60-page brief this morning in the U.S. 7th Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago. The brief asks the Circuit Court to reverse the decision of the U.S. District Court and allow the case to go forward.

    'The French Falun Dafa Association held a press conference in Paris on Tuesday to protest that they have been prevented from participating in the Spring Festival Parade on January 24th. Falun Gong practitioners will hold a parade on January the 23rd in Paris and hold a candlelight vigil that evening near the Eiffel Tower.'

Falun Gong’s peaceful, graceful exercises and beautiful music attracted the attention of many passers-by.   • German Lawsuit: Persecuted Together in Mainland China, Now Suing the Evil Together Abroad

    From 2000 to 2002, Zhao Ming, currently studying in Ireland, and Chen Gang, currently staying in the United States, experienced cruel spiritual and physical torture at Beijing's Tuanhe labour camp because of their belief in Falun Gong. On November 21st 2003, they met again in Europe and gathered with thirty nine other Falun Gong practitioners from various countries to sue sixteen Chinese government officials.
  • Ireland: Practitioners in Dublin Hold a Press Conference Concerning the Situation of Liu Feng

    Ireland student Liu Feng was detained in Dalian Forced Labour Camp because he is a Falun Gong practitioner. Recently, practitioners received information that Liu Feng has been released but is in hospital. This only occurs when a labour camp detainee has been tortured close to death and prison authorities intend to shift the blame away from themselves.

  • Israel: Lawyers Support Petition to Bring Jiang to Justice

    Recently, Israeli practitioners have started to send letters to those in the legal profession in Israel. Some lawyers have already signed the petition, and one of them was so moved by the letter that he requested to meet practitioners immediately. When practitioners met him, he was eager to help in any way he could and even asked to read “Zhuan Falun”. At the end of the meeting, there were tears in his eyes, and he hugged practitioners warmly.

    One German practitioner described the responses he received after he telling people that Xiong Wei had been released. “After hearing the news of Xiong Wei’s release, I went to several stores where I put the “Free Xiong Wei” postcards and told them the good news. I express my appreciation to them by giving the workers Dafa postcards with pictures of Lilies on them.
  • UK: Practitioners Show Dafa TV Programmes During the Cambridge Chinese New Year Gala

    On January the 16th, UK and Cambridge Chinese Student together with the Scholar’s Associations organised a 2004 Spring Festive Gala. Over 1300 people attended the show. Falun Gong practitioners also joined in the celebrations, and displayed Dafa programmes on a colour TV near the entrance. This added to the festive spirit of the activities.

    On Sunday the 18th of January 2004, Falun Gong practitioners held a display of the 5 sets of Falun Gong exercises outside Hove Town Hall in East Sussex. The local Chinese Association was hosting an Educational and Cultural event at Hove Town Hall. This was part of the celebrations for the Chinese New Year and many Chinese people were there to help set up the event for many local Chinese people and businesses who were invited. All received flyers, Video-CDs and newsletters and some students sat by the practitioners who were meditating to have their pictures taken by their friends.

    UK Falun Gong practitioners performed a play with the theme of bringing Jiang Zemin, the instigator of the persecution against Falun Gong that has claimed over 860 lives, to justice. Held in London's Trafalgar Square, the play, written by practitioners, symbolically tried Jiang Zemin for his crimes against humanity in this persecution.
  • “World Organisation to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong” is Collecting Evidence for the German Lawsuit

    On the 18th of December 2003, based on these findings, the World Organisation to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) officially announced a detailed investigation of nine government officials responsible for the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in Liaoning Province. After further examination and verification of the facts, they will hand over all the evidence to the top Procurator in Germany, the International Court of Justice, Human Rights Organisations and every country’s government. They will sue and expose the illegal activities of these Chinese officials in their persecution of Falun Gong.
