The Defence Statement of Ms. Wang Bo's Father, Wang Xinzhong

Ms. Wang Bo has suffered from persecution and forcible brainwashing at a young age for practising Falun Dafa. She was arrested and sent to forced labour again and again, with her parents, and her family suffered numerous separations. In April 2004, Wang Bo's family appeared in the CCTV programme, "Focal Point," and was set up by the CCP as a "model" for "reformation through education." In 2005, the family broke away from the control of the 610 Office. They told the outside world how the CCTV tarnished Falun Gong by editing and distorting what they had said. Because they spoke the truth, they left their home and started a life in exile. They were arrested again on July 27th, 2006, and were charged with fabricated accusations -
Two Practitioners Tortured to the Point of Mental Collapse at the Shuanghe Forced Labour Camp in Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province
2007-01-29Being a Falun Dafa practitioner, I have gone to Beijing to appeal to the central government to stop the persecution and to distribute leaflets exposing the persecution. Consequently, I have been put in prison five times and sent to forced labour camp three times. During the time I was in the Shuanghe Forced Labour Camp, I witnessed two Falun Gong practitioners tortured to the point of mental collapse. One practitioner, Kong Linghua, could not bear the physical and mental torture. She was mentally traumatised and cried hysterically. Police injected her with some unknown drugs that made her sleep all the time. -
Over 200 Falun Gong Practitioners Die From Persecution in 2006
2007-01-28According to incomplete statistics from Minghui.net [Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net], 216 Falun Gong practitioners in mainland China died from persecution in 2006, among them were 99 women or 46 per cent of the deaths. The death toll has been confirmed through non-government sources. The 216 confirmed deaths from persecution in 2006 occurred throughout 26 provinces, cities and autonomous regions across the whole country. During the seven and a half year period from July 20th, 1999 to December 31st, 2006, so far a total of 3,011 Falun Gong practitioners have been confirmed dead from persecution. -
Depraved Police in Sichuan Province Repeatedly Torture a Farm Woman

On June 1st, 2006, Ms. Wang Liqiong was arrested and detained in the Public Security Bureau. Her hands were handcuffed by the wrists to the frame on top of a chair, with her arms stretched over her head. The police captain forced her to sit on the ground with her legs stretched straight. Anytime she bent her legs, he would step on her legs. She was tortured like this for two days, which caused Ms. Wang to be unable to lift her arms. She was tortured again for 12 days later in June. -
Update on Four Liaoning Province Dafa Practitioners Arrested on a Train
2007-01-28Four Dafa practitioners in Liaoning Province were arrested on train No. 1230 from Fuxin to Shanghai. They are currently detained at the Jinan Railroad Detention Centre and started a hunger strike to protest the detention. Their families called Jinan Railroad Detention Centre and Jinan Railroad Police Station many times. They were told, "You can bring them some clothing, but you can't see them." -
I Witnessed Persecution in Lanzhou Women's Labour Camp in Gansu Province
2007-01-28The police from the labour camp often forced all detained Falun Gong practitioners to write a so-called "guarantee statement" to give up practising Falun Gong. If anybody refused to do so, they would torture her with many different methods. Once, Ms. Zhang Xuxia shouted "Falun Dafa is good" in the labour camp. She was taken to a garrison room and a female guard instructed a prison inmate to beat her badly. I saw her mouth bleeding and swollen after she came back. Falun Gong practitioners who refused to be "transformed" were forced to sleep on the cement floor and beaten black and blue. -
The Persecution and Death of Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Hou Mingkai, Who Broadcast Videos Exposing the Persecution in Changchun City in 2002
2007-01-27Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Hou Mingkai was arrested in late 2001 for broadcasting videos exposing the persecution about Falun Dafa through the Changchun City cable network in March 2002. A witness who was arrested at the same time recalls:"I heard hitting noises [in the next room]. Hou Mingkai was very tough and he didn’t moan at all. I heard policemen say 'This person endures a great deal. We couldn’t break him, even after using all kinds of tortures.' I heard constant beating sounds and cursing by the police. Within 30 minutes the police said, 'Hou Mingkai is finished. He is dying!' Hou Mingkai died from torture later that night. The police tried to hide their crime. They told me, 'Hou Mingkai escaped. He jumped out of the window.'" -
Elderly Mr. Zhong Shubo from Hunan Province Dies as a Result of the Persecution
2007-01-27The 610 Office and the National Security Brigade persecuted 63-year-old Mr. Zhong Shubo's family repeatedly by threatening the family, confiscating property, extorting and imposing fines, putting Mr. Zhong's house under surveillance, arresting and detaining his family members, detaining them in forced labour camps, etc. Mr. Zhong believed in Dafa and never submitted even slightly to the pressure to give up his practice. Mr. Zhong's health was devastated after he was detained in a forced labour camp. He died on January 10th, 2007. -
Practitioner Yang Xiuqin from Liaoning Province Describes Persecution She Has Endured Since 1999
2007-01-27In March 2000 I was sent to the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp. Guard Fang Yehong ordered an inmate to take me to the toilet where they attempted to force me to give up my cultivation and belief. I refused. the inmate beat me. She slapped my face, making it swell, then pushed my chest with her leg, and hit my back with her elbow and fist. My chest and back became black and purple. I vomited, felt dizzy and had a headache, which was very painful. They also deprived me of sleep and forced me to read the books that slander Falun Gong. I refused to read, so they verbally abused me and beat me. Each day spent in that Masanjia camp seemed like a year. -
Practitioner Mr. Zhou Jiangang Paralysed after Torture in Qinduankou Prison in Wuhan, Hubei Province
2007-01-27On November 2nd, 2006 when practitioner Mr. Zhou Jiangang was taken from the Hongshan Hospital back to Qinduankou Prison in Hubei Province, his entire body was was paralysed except for his eyes and mouth. The prison isolated Mr. Zhou from other inmates, and the guards refused to allow Mr. Zhou's wife and relatives to visit him. In the beginning of 2007, prison authorities had made a false video record of Mr. Zhou so that they could deceive his family members and cover up the crimes they committed against Mr. Zhou, causing his paralysis. -
The Cruel Persecution of Qian Shiguang, a Senior Engineer from the Northwest Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Development in Gansu Province
2007-01-27On June 2nd, 2002, Mr Qian Shiguang went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa and was subsequently arrested, sentenced to two years of forced labour and detained in Beijing’s Tuanhe Forced Labour Camp, where he was brutally tortured. The guards incited criminal inmates to beat his face with fly swatters and a wooden baton. The thugs forced Mr. Qian's head into the toilet bowl and made him drink the water, they pulled hair from his beard and eyebrows, and they occasionally threw him into the urinal area of the toilet, soaking him with urine and toilet water. The guards forced criminals to take Mr. Qian outside at night, stripping off his clothes and pouring cold water over him, and then covering his body with snow. -
Doctor Liu Xiaorong in Critical Condition after Eleven Month Hunger Strike in Hebei Province Women's Prison
2007-01-26In May 2001, Ms Liu Xiaorong refused to be "transformed". In the Shijiazhuang Second Prison, the guards used forced labour as an excuse to instigate four prisoners to drag her and another practitioner by their hair and hands, face down. The practitioners were dragged and kicked from the third floor to the bottom floor. Then they were dragged across several metres of a concrete road to a workshop. The prisoners used very dirty rags stained with excrement to stuff in their mouths, rendering them unable to talk. Ms. Liu Xiaorong is now detained at the women's prison in Hebei Province. It is now 11 months into her hunger strike and her weight has dropped to 55 kilogrammes. -
216 Persecution-Related Deaths of Falun Gong Practitioners Verified in 2006
2007-01-2651-year-old Ms. Zhang Yunzhi began to practise Falun Dafa in October 1998. She never wavered in her belief in Falun Dafa, persisted in the practice, and also appealed for Dafa in Beijing. She was arrested five times and brutally tortured. After the first four arrests she was able to break free. After the fifth arrest, however, the police beat her until she nearly died. Her entire body became swollen and fluid oozed from her legs. Eventually she died from severe internal organ damage as a result of the beatings. -
A Gongzhuling City Tricycle Driver Tortured Until Unconscious
2007-01-26While Mr. Wang Yancai was parking his tricycle on November 24th, 2006, the police were arresting Falun Gong practitioners. He was also arrested for no reason and sent to the Dongsan Police Station in Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province. The police handcuffed him and forced him to admit he was a Falun Gong practitioner. Police beat and kicked him during their interrogation. When he was sent to the detention centre, Yu Bo and Deputy Chief Yang Dashuai beat him again, and he was again rendered unconscious. Police had two detainees burn Mr. Wang Yancai’s fingers with lighters, trying to see if he was still alive. -
Supplementary Information on the Persecution of Mr. Feng Bingkun and Ms. Tang Jinai from Zengcheng City, Guangdong Province
2007-01-26In February 2005, practitioner Mr. Feng Bingkun was arrested by the police. In May 2005, the court in Zengcheng City sentenced him to three years and five months in jail. According to Chinese law, when a person is sentenced, local police must give the verdict to the family so that family members can go see the person in prison. But the local police dared not deliver the verdict to Mr. Feng Bingkun's family. They were afraid of leaving evidence of their illegal persecution. The family only received a short letter from Mr. Feng in March 2006, during the first two years while he was in prison. All the goods and letters the family had sent to him at the address on his letter were returned.
