Recollections of Ms Yu Lianchun and Her Persecution Death at Jinan Women's Forced Labour Camp

I was very shocked a few days ago when I read the news on the Internet that Ms Yu Lianchun had been persecuted to death. In September 2000, when I was imprisoned at the First Women's Labour Camp Yu Lianchun was transferred to the Division where I was held. She looked very young even though she was nearly fifty years old. I was told that she was subjected to a lot of torture while she was at the First Division. She was beaten many times by the police and inmates because she refused to give up practising Falun Gong. She was only allowed to sleep four hours per day, and was not allowed to sleep until everyone else was asleep. She had to begin work at the warehouse before everyone else got up. She was forced to attend brainwashing classes and she received unceasing threats every day. She became absent-minded, had dull vision, and sometimes talked to herself. -
Four Falun Dafa Practitioners Persecuted to Death in Shandong and Hebei Provinces
2006-08-1862-year-old Ms. Li Huilan was a Dafa practitioner from Hebei Province. Because she spoke to people about the facts of Falun Dafa, she was arrested and taken to Botou Detention Centre. Since she was persistent in practising Falun Dafa, Meng Qingzhong, a policeman at the detention centre, persecuted her mercilessly. She was once handcuffed on a cross for over eight hours. Because she was injured both mentally and physically, she passed away in November 2003. -
Four Falun Dafa Practitioners Die Due to Persecution in Liaoning, Hubei, Heilongjiang and Shandong Provinces
2006-08-18Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Chunlan, 70, started practising Dafa in 1996 and benefited tremendously from it. After the persecution began on July 20th, 1999, her whole family including her two daughters, son and daughter-in-law, and grandsons went to the city government to appeal. Her daughters were sent to forced labour camps. The entire family, particularly Zhang Chunlan, was mentally traumatised. Zhang Chunlan and her daughter(s) left home to avoid further persecution and moved from place to place. Her daughter(s) lost their jobs as a result, and they were separated from their families. Zhang Chunlan lived under long-term pressure and passed away on February 28th, 2006. -
Urgent Appeal to Rescue Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Xiang Lijie, Wife of a Taiwanese Resident
2006-08-17Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Xiang Lijie, married to a Taiwanese resident for more than a decade, has been detained, held in a labour camp and was brutally tortured by the Chinese Communist regime for practising Falun Gong. In the past six years the Communist regime has refused to let Xiang Lijie return to Taiwan because she refuses to give up her belief. The Communist Party fears that the international community will learn more about its atrocities against Falun Gong. National Security Bureau agents and police officials arrested Ms. Xiang. She was detained, force-fed, and subjected to brainwashing. Xiang Lijie's husband is anxiously waiting for her. Her father-in-law didn't get to see her before he passed away. -
Persecution Suffered by the Family of Sichuan Province Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Liu Shunqin
2006-08-17Villager Ms. Liu Shunqin of Sichuan Province, practised Falun Dafa, improved her health and strengthened her body. Local Chinese Communist Party officials ransacked and damaged her home. She was twice "illegally sentenced" to forced labour and prison. Her husband died as a result of the persecution. To this day, Ms. Liu Shunqin is still imprisoned at the Sichuan Women's Prison and being brutally persecuted. -
Acts of Violence Committed in the Handan Forced Labour Camp
2006-08-17Li Qingsong, a Falun Gong practitioner in Hebei Province, served his term of forced labour and was supposed to be released on July 25th, 2006. However, he was directly transferred from the forced labour camp to a brainwashing class by the Handan Municipal Government. He is vomiting blood, and his life is in danger. His mother, who went to the Handan Forced Labour Camp to pick him up, was beaten and consequently suffered a fracture, as well as high blood pressure and a stroke. -
Four Older Practitioners from Heilongjiang, Beijing and Shandong Die as a Result of the Persecution
2006-08-17Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Huiqin from Heilongjiang was 56 years old. On December 30th, 2003, police confiscated her home and arrested her. They then detained her at Harbin No. 2 Detention Centre. She was sentenced to a forced labour camp for two years and was transferred to Wanjia Forced Labour Camp, but was rejected because of her high blood pressure. Later she came out to have medical treatment, and on October 22nd, 2005, she suddenly died of a cerebral hemorrhage. -
Three Falun Gong Practitioners in Beijing Died from Persecution
2006-08-17Wang Huilan, in her sixties, who had suffered high blood pressure and heart disease and could not take care of herself, had her health restored after practising Falun Gong. However, since July 20th, 1999, Li Chunyan, the deputy director of the Jinzhan Town 610 Office and Wang Shijiang, the head of the security office of West Village, frequently harassed her, threatened to cut off her financial resources, and confiscated her pension. As a consequence, the elderly lady was greatly hurt psychologically and physically which resulted in a relapse of her health problems. She died on the eve of the 2001 Chinese new year. -
Ms. Wang Shujun Persecuted to Death, Her Husband Sentenced to Three Years' Imprisonment
2006-08-16Ms. Wang Shujun was detained at Jiamusi Detention Centre, after which she was sentenced to one year's imprisonment in a forced labour camp. She had to live in a gloomy, dank room with a cold concrete floor. Ms. Wang was only given corn cakes to eat that looked black and tasted sour, and soup that was like salt water, but no drinking water. Once, she even ate icicles from her windows in the winter to quench her thirst. Due to the brutal conditions and persecution at the forced labour camp, Ms. Wang suffered uraemia and her entire body became swollen with oedema. Ms. Wang's husband, was detained at the detention centre. She missed her husband very much. Her husband was not permitted to see his wife until she passed away. -
Zhou Huisheng Persecuted to Death at the Yuemingshan Forced Labour Camp, Anshan City
2006-08-16In the Autumn of 2005, Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhou Huisheng was speaking to people about the facts of Falun Dafa when police arrested him. He was sent to the Yuemingshan Forced Labour Camp for a one year sentence. On July 26th, 2006, the forced labour camp notified his family members by phone to take Mr. Zhou home. By that time he was unconscious and on the verge of death. His head was bleeding internally and there were clots. He was discharged from the hospital only two days after he came in because the doctor refused to treat him. He passed away on July 30th, 2006. -
Ms. Li Guixiang's Lower Jaw Dislocated, Nasal Feeding Tube Left in Her Stomach for Two Weeks
2006-08-16My name is Li Guixiang. Because of practising Falun Dafa, I was imprisoned in Qinghai Province Female Labour Camp for three and a half years. During this period, I suffered various tortures. At the end of August 2003, because of revealing the persecution to people, I was arrested by police. I protested their illegal action, and jumped from a high place. At that time, I went unconscious, and my whole body could not move. After regaining consciousness, they still took me to the labour camp. I went on a hunger strike to protest. After ten days, the police started to force-feed me. After two months, they dislocated my lower jaw, and poured food into my mouth. The process was so cruel that no one could bear to watch. -
Practitioner Wang Hongliang Imprisoned and Persecuted for Five Years; His Blood Was Drawn for Examination

This is a scar left on Wang Hongliang's leg from the torture he suffered at the Shulan City Public Security Bureau when police interrogated him. The wound ulcerated and took six months to heal. Wang was handcuffed behind his back and they proceeded to kick and punch him in order to obtain information. Later, they beat him again. They tied him to a "tiger bench" so he couldn't move at all. Then they used a wooden stick to hit his legs. -
Four Year Prison Sentence for Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Gu Xiaohua, Following More Than One Year in Detention
2006-08-16Ms. Gu Xiaohua, a 58-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Beijing, was recently sentenced to four years of imprisonment in the Beijing Women's Prison, following more than a year in detention. Ms. Gu was detained many times before. When she was detained in a detention centre the guards stripped her of all her warm clothing, leaving only her underclothes, and tied her with tape to a cross made from a snow-covered door plank. They then deliberately placed her in a windy spot where it was freezing cold. In addition, they immobilised her mouth with tape in order to prevent her from crying for help. -
Ms. Bai Yuzhi, a Practitioner from Jingxing County, Persecuted to the Point of Blindness by Hebei Province Women's Prison
2006-08-15Ms. Bai Yuzhi, in her 40s, is a former member of the Jingxing County Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. Since she persisted in her belief in Falun Dafa, she has been detained in the Hebei Province Women's Prison. Due to long-term persecution, she became blind and throws up blood. She also almost died several times. At present she cannot take care of herself. Her family members applied for her release for medical treatment, but the prison authorities have kept putting off approval. -
Jinzhou City Forced Labour Camp Intensifies Its Brutal Torture of Falun Dafa Practitioners
2006-08-15In late May of 2006, Jinzhou City Forced Labour Camp, located in China's Liaoning Province, began a new round of intensified persecution in an attempt to "transform" Falun Gong practitioners, kindhearted people dedicated to the principles of Truth, Compassion, Forbearance. The guards are putting drugs in the food that cause abnormalities in the bodies of the practitioners. They continue brutal torture using torture instruments, handcuffs, various versions of hanging a person up, interrogation, threats, and various mental and physical abuses.
