When the electric current goes through a person's body, it feels like one is being burned or being bitten by snakes. Every shock is very painful like a snakebite. The victim's skin turns red, broken, burned and festering. There are even more powerful batons with higher voltage that make the victim feel like he is being hit with a hammer.

• Two Female Falun Gong Practitioners in Heilongjiang Province Arrested and Tortured By "610 Office"

  After 5 days in "Huang's Compound," Ms. Kong and Ms. Pang were illegally transferred to the Gaoleng Prefecture Detention Centre. During those 5 days Ms. Kong went on hunger strike and was brutally force-fed. The police's initial decision was for 15 days detention, but they did not release them after August 3; instead, they changed the sentence to one-month of detention.

• Authorities in Shandong Province Spend Large Amounts of Money for "Name Lists" to Persecute Dafa Practitioners

  In 2001, Longkou's Lower Dingjia Town Power Plant officials spent nearly one million Yuan to build a "610 Office" brainwashing centre. According to incomplete statistics, until now, nearly 400 Dafa practitioners have been detained and are being brainwashed there. Some practitioners have been illegally imprisoned for more than one year and still have not been released...Since 1999, they spent thousands of Yuan going to Tiananmen Square, and the National Appeals Bureau bought name lists of practitioners who went to Beijing to appeal.

• The Persecution of Dafa Practitioner Yu Shuang at the Daqing City Labour Camp in Heilongjiang Province

  They then tied him to a chair and extended his term for three months. The 11th rib on the right side of his body was fractured. He was in excruciating pain whenever he moved his body even a little bit. He was forced to sit in the chair motionless for seven days and nights, wearing shackles.   The Security Department then detained Mr. Zuo. About ten days later he was tortured severely. A policeman took him to the People's Hospital in Daqing City for an examination and returned him to the Security Department again afterwards. After that, Mr. Zuo was secretly sent to the Suihua Forced Labour Camp in Heilongjiang province, a place notorious for the severe persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. Mr. Zuo's health has deteriorated as a result of the abuse that he has suffered.

• Practitioner Ms. Qiu Lihua On Hunger Strike in Wanbolin Detention Centre, Shanxi Province

  We have learned that Qiu Lihua went on a hunger strike shortly after her arrest. Currently, she is extremely weak, yet the Taiyuan Detention Centre continues to imprison her. Dafa practitioners arrested by the Wanbolin Branch of the Bureau of Public Safety last October and November were intermittently sentenced without legal grounds. At that time, Qi Lihua, who was on intravenous infusion, was taken to court. When she used all her remaining physical strength to loudly proclaim: "Falun Dafa is good!" the righteous field shocked the whole court and her trial was hastily ended.

• Police Brutalities at the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp

  They forced me to take off my clothes and socks, and shocked my entire body with electric batons. They also forced another practitioner to watch. About an hour later, blisters started to form on my body, and a heavy burning smell filled the air. Then police Wang Shuzhen, wearing leather boots, repeatedly kicked my chest. Even now, I still carry the scar from the kicking I received.

• Practitioner Life is in Danger after Being Abducted Several Times in Nanchang City

  They abducted her to Donghu District Police Department. Zhou Xiangfeng beat her arms and legs with a metal rod. To prevent Jiang Lanying from practising the Falun Gong exercises, political head Li put a stool on her legs and they then sat on the stool. They took turns to torture her for two days and nights. Later they sent her to a detention centre and her family was not even allowed to visit her. By the end of February 2003, Jiangxi Province Women's Prison authorities suddenly notified her mother to visit her in the Changzheng Hospital, a labour camp hospital. Her mother then learned that she had been sentenced to five years of imprisonment and that she had been on a hunger strike to protest the illegal sentence.

  In March of this year, I saw my daughter through a friend's help. The moment I saw her I was shocked. My daughter was feeble and she had injures all over her face. Both of her hands were black and blue. She had a gaping wound in a triangular shape, which was most likely cause by a metal object. It was February when I saw her. My daughter cried and I felt very sad. No one should have to suffer like this in order to earn the right to pursue being a good person. I asked the warders why they beat Xiu Xiaoxue. The warders said shamelessly, "She was bumped by a machine."
