Whole Family Persecuted: Father Dies, Mother Detained, Son and Daughter's Marriages Obstructed

Because Ms. Chen Shufen and her husband, Huo Shimin, were both sentenced because of practising Falun Dafa, their family condition became very poor. At that moment Huo Shimin's father was sick in bed, and he also had a mother who was more than ninety years old. Huo's father missed his son and daughter-in-law very much, and felt very sad. He passed away in spring 2004, before Huo came home. His grandmother and mother are still healthy. Ms. Chen's son and daughter both reached a marriageable age. Only because their mother practises “Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance,” and persists in her belief is she being detained. Both the son and daughter's marriages were interfered with. All family members, relatives and friends are worried about them. -
Unjust Trial Held by Officials of Guta District, Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province
2007-04-19Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhang Lifeng was sentenced by the District Court in Jinzhou City. His family and friends appealed to the Jinzhou City Intermediate Court. They met with Chief Judge Deng Jilin (male) and juror member Li Yuhui (male), and told them that Mr. Zhang had benefited from practising Falun Dafa both mentally and physically. Under extraordinary courage, he distributed the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and risked his life to tell people the truth. His actions exercised a citizen's right to freedom of speech as defined in the constitution. -
Practitioner from Heilongjiang Province Is Persecuted and Loses Memory After Eating Food at Detention Centre
2007-04-19I was arrested and taken to the Mulan County Detention Centre on July 26th, 2004. During the mid-autumn festival, I ate a moon cake distributed by the jail and lost my memory afterwards. There must have been drugs in the moon cake. After some time, the authorities brought me to court. I only saw people open their mouths, but I could not hear anything. After a few minutes, they quickly took me away. They once locked me in a guarded house, and made me sit on an "iron chair" with my hands locked behind me and my head covered with a quilt. I passed out. After a long time, I found myself sitting in a car. I recall nothing at all from that time. Later I found that I had been sent to jail. -
Practitioners Forced to Have Blood Tests at Jiangxi Province Women's Forced Labour Camp
2007-04-19All practitioners sent to the Jiangxi Province Women's Forced Labour Camp in Qingyunpu District had a blood test. The guards used other inmates to force Falun Dafa practitioners to give blood. Due to the unprofessional nature of the blood tests, after taking a blood sample, an inmate who was a drug addict became infected with AIDS. The guards from the labour camp knew this fact but hid the truth. They forced this inmate to do labour and to serve as a “monitor” to watch the practitioners. -
64-Year-Old Mr. Yang Pingsheng from Jiangxi Province Tortured to Death in Prison - His Family Only Allowed to See His Ashes
2007-04-18Mr. Yang Pingsheng, 64, was arrested by police from the Wuning County Police Department in April 2005 while distributing leaflets exposing the persecution. He was sentenced to four years in prison and detained in Nanchang City Prison. He was tortured to death at the prison in March 2007. His family was instructed to pick up his ashes, and was not allowed to see his body. -
Hebei Province: Falun Dafa Practitioner Cao Jiwei Injured by Torture - Wife Placed in Detention
2007-04-18Since July 1999, when the Jiang Zemin regime started the persecution of Falun Gong, Mr. Cao Jiwei has been repeatedly arrested and subjected to persecution. His wife has also suffered persecution. On April 7th, 2000 the couple was sent to the Laishui County Communist Party School for persecution. In order to try to force them to give up Falun Gong, the police tortured them severely. At one point, deputy party head Sun Guijie whipped Ms. Meng Qinglian’s face with a shoe. One day in the middle of the night the police hit them with a wooden stick and forced them to kneel on bricks. Then the thugs laid a stick across their legs, and several policemen stepped on the stick. The couple could not endure the torture any longer and signed a statement against their will. They still had to pay a 6,600 yuan fine. They were placed deeply in debt before they were allowed to go home. -
Ms. Yang Xiaolan from Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province Inhumanly Tortured for the Past Seven Years
2007-04-18In November 2000, Ms. Yang Xiaolan went to Shunde City to distribute leaflets exposing the persecution and was arrested. The police subjected her to sleep deprivation for two whole days. When she was detained in the Sunde City Qinliu Detention Centre, she keep doing the exercises. The guards handcuffed her and attached a straight metal rod onto both of her legs for one week, causing her to not be able to bend her legs or relax while sleeping. She was in tremendous pain. Ms. Yang went on hunger strike to protest this treatment. The guards pressed her down, tied her up with rope, and then had an inexperienced nurse insert a tube to force-feed her. Ms. Yang was screaming from pain, and her blood flowed like running water. -
Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Wang Liqiu from Jilin City, Jilin Province Holds Hunger Strike and Suffers Serious Heart Attacks
2007-04-18At noon on March 24th, 2007, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Liqiu's mother received a phone call from a kind-hearted person, saying that Wang Liqiu was holding a hunger strike in the detention centre. She often had heart attacks and her health condition was very serious. The caller also told the family members that they should go to the detention centre and request Wang Liqiu's release. After receiving the phone call, Wang Liqiu's 77-year-old father and 74-year-old mother were very anxious. They had no choice and decided to go to the detention centre to ask for their daughter's release. -
Accountant Ms. Li Junxia Suffers Mental Collapse from Brutal Torture at Chenjiaji Brainwashing Centre in Wuhan City, Hubei Province
2007-04-18Falun Dafa practitioner Li Junxia was persecuted several times by officials of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) due to her firm belief in Falun Dafa. In December 2006, agents from the 610 Office in the Jiangan District, Wuhan City detained her in the Chenjiaji Brainwashing Centre. She was mentally traumatized by the torture she suffered. They tortured her and cursed her and forced her to curse Dafa. Li Junxia eventually suffered a mental collapse. -
The Persecution I Experienced Over the Past Seven Years at the Hands of the Chinese Communist Party
2007-04-17The past is almost too painful to recall, yet it is so vivid, as if it just took place yesterday. Guard Wang Xiaofeng in Masanjia Forced Labour Camp threatened me. He said, "You cannot practise Falun Gong anymore; if you do, I'll teach you a good lesson!" I refused to comply, and he told me to go to the ground floor and handcuffed me to a heating pipe. He gagged me with a cleaning rag and taped my mouth shut. Then he proceeded to shock me with high-voltage electric batons. Soon my hands bled while he kept accusing me of making trouble. My blood stuck to the electric baton. He removed the tape from my mouth and began shocking my mouth. My lips doubled in size, and I could barely open my mouth. He sent me to solitary confinement cell. It was very cold that winter. They opened all of the doors and windows to freeze us. -
Practitioner Mr. Li Shaozhi from Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province Partially Paralysed from Torture
2007-04-17In Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province, Falun Dafa practitioner Li Shaozhi was tortured and coerced into giving a "confession" to the Jiamusi police. He was tortured so severely that half of his body was paralysed, and he became unconscious as a result of their brutalities. The doctor in the detention centre said that the torture might have led to a stroke. The facts of his condition have also been submitted to the court. The Xiangyang District Court in Jiamusi has intentionally caused difficulties, acting as though human life has no value. -
Ms. Sun Chongzhen Exposes the Persecution She Suffered in Jinan City Women's Forced Labour Camp
2007-04-17While I was informing people about the true nature of Falun Gong I was reported and arrested. I was sent to Jinan City Women's Forced Labour Camp on August 1st, 2003 and suffered three years of persecution. The guards locked me in a small cell every day and forbade me to meet anyone. They forced me to watch TV programmes slandering Dafa. They found some former practitioners who had gone against Dafa to tell me lies. Guards wrote a "guarantee statement to stop practising" for me attempted to force me to sign and fingerprint it. I didn't follow their orders. A group of guards then held me down. Some of them pulled my hands to put my fingerprint on the statement. After that, they forced me to do work for at least 12 hours per day. Sometimes, they made me work overtime, until 1:00 or 2:00 a.m. -
Elderly Mr. Zhao Dianbin from Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous, Region Died as a Result of Persecution
2007-04-17Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhao Dianbin was 78 years old. He went to Beijing three times to appeal for justice for Dafa and was brutally tortured and detained twice. His three sons, three daughters-in-law, and three daughters were all arrested and ruthlessly tortured. Mr. Zhao died on March 20th, 2007, due to the long-term harassment and persecution by personnel from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). -
Practitioner Zhang Weijie from Wuhan City, Hubei Province Arrested, His Wife Was Threatened for Searching for Him
2007-04-17Falun Gong practitioner Zhang Weijie has been missing since March 20th, 2007. His wife has been searching for him everywhere. She eventually went to the Jiang'an District 610 Office to enquire about her husband's whereabouts. The head, Li Yingjie, first said that her husband was sent to a brainwashing centre, but later he totally denied that claim. On March 30th, Mr. Zhang's wife went to the Wuhan City 610 Office to enquire about his whereabouts and find out the reason he was arrested. She was told that Zhang Weijie was arrested because the 610 Office worried that if he wasn't "transformed," he would influence more Falun Gong practitioners to "cause trouble." -
Ms. Gao Xiuqin Dies after Being Tortured in Jinan City First Women's Prison in Shandong Province
2007-04-16Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Gao Xiuqin had been detained in the Fourth Ward of Jinan City First Women's Prison since October 2002. Her mother-in-law was very worried, and died on December 5th, 2002, shortly after hearing that Ms. Gao had been arrested. Half of Ms. Gao's body was in extreme pain during a period in 2005, and she could not move. When she was released in February 2006, she was very weak, and it was discovered that she had late-stage breast cancer. She was hospitalised on March 6th, had an operation on March 7th, and died on April 1st, 2007.
