• Six-Year-Old Boy Missing After Parents and Other Practitioners Arrested in Yantai City, Shandong Province

  Around 9 a.m. on April 17th, 2007, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Sun Guolan was forcefully carried away from her home by five or six policemen. Ms. Sun left her door unlocked for her son who was coming home. The police barged into her house and dragged her away. After they came out of the building, Ms. Sun was forcefully pushed into a van. Practitioners who were arrested on the same day also included Mr. Yu Haiyou. The police first arrested him at his workplace and sent him to a brainwashing centre and then arrested his wife, Wang Xuemei, at their home. Subsequently, the policemen sealed their house. Yu Haiyou's six-year old son has been missing since the arrest of his parents.

• Shanghai Women's Forced Labour Camp No. 5 Division Uses an Unknown Drug to Persecute Falun Gong Practitioners

  Guards from the No. 5 Division of Qingpu Women's Forced Labour Camp in Shanghai are persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners with an unknown drug. In order to further persecute those practitioners who firmly believe in Falun Dafa, the female guards imprison them separately from others and put the drug into their food. After eating their meals, the practitioners not only suffered vertigo, but also their mental state and memory was seriously impaired. After an older practitioner ate the drugged meals, she acted confused all the time. She was even unable to count.

• Practitioners Tortured in Suihua Forced Labour Camp

  Prison officials Liu Wei and Diao Xuesong used toothpicks to stab Falun Gong practitioner Peng Chen's fingers and legs. His legs now no longer function normally, so he has to use his hands to move his legs. Another practitioner, Miao Shujung was beaten so badly that he has not been able to eat anything since. Whatever he eats he throws up. He used to weigh 209 pounds, but after being tortured he now only weighs 132 pounds. Due to his serious condition, they finally released him to receive medical treatment. It will be a wonder if he can survive. Another practitioner, Li Cangxin, was tortured so severely that he now needs assistance to walk.

• Details of the Recent Arrest of Ms. Ji Yan of Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province

  At 6:40 a.m. on April 14th, 2007, after practitioners Ms. Ji Yan and Mr. Wei Danquan drove through the Shanhaiguan toll station, their car was stopped by two police cars. Ms. Ji's belongings were confiscated, she was handcuffed and taken away in a car. Lu Ping, the director of Qinhuangdao City's National Security Group, asked, "Who is Ji Yan?" When Ms. Ji turned around to answer, Lu Ping immediately punched her in the face, pulled her hair, and pushed her down to the ground. He started to beat her further but was stopped by the guard. Then the police officers took off Ms. Ji's glasses, covered her head with a black bag, and took her down to a car, while Lu Ping was shouting, "Never dream of getting out of here, I've got to kill you today!"

• Twelve Practitioners Taken into Police Custody after Luo Gan's Secretary Visited Chicheng

  On April 21st, 2007, the secretary of Luo Gan (one of the primary perpetrators of the persecution) went to Chicheng, Hebei Province. When he passed the Dahaituo Tourist Area in Chicheng County, he saw the large banners posted by Falun Dafa practitioners to inform people about the true nature of Falun Gong. After he returned to Beijing, he reported this to his boss. He then pressured the government officials of Chicheng County accusing them of not being able to suppress Falun Gong effectively. As a result, the 610 Office of Zhangjiakou set up a special team. They went to Chicheng County and worked with the local police department to persecute practitioners. In every town in the county, the police arranged someone to keep surveillance at night. Police vehicles patrolled the streets everywhere.

• The Bureau of Education in Xiong County, Hebei Province Actively Persecutes Dafa Practitioners

  Dafa practitioner Ms. Han Junmiao worked hard and never took advantage of others nor accepted bribes. The Bureau of Education, however, had police officers take her away from work and sentenced her to three years in a forced labour camp. Ms. Han was tortured brutally in the forced labour camp. She suffered greatly both physically and mentally and almost lost her life there. During this time, the school authorities removed her from her position. In 2003, after Ms. Han was released from the camp, the Bureau of Education had someone monitor her at home. Under this tremendous pressure, Ms. Han's health deteriorated and she died on May 6th, 2005, at the age of 53. She lost her life simply because she wanted to be a good person who speaks the truth and values morality.

• Ms. Liu Yanmei from Shangdong Province Tormented for a Year, Labour Camp Authorities Refused to Let Her Husband Visit Her

  Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Yanmei from Dagou Village, Puwang Town, Yinan County, Shangdong Province, was arrested in May 2006 when she was distributing pamphlets about Falun Gong. She was later sentenced to three years in Shangdong Forced Labour Camp located in Jinan. News from the labour camp reported that she was seriously tortured. Her family tried to visit her many times but was refused by the camp authorities.

• Many Falun Gong Practitioners Tortured to Death or to Mental Collapse at Benxi Forced Labour Camp

  Mr. Wang Yuzhu was a practitioner from Haiyang County, Shandong Province. On December 10th, 2006, guard Liu Shaoshi (male) instructed guards Guo Tieying, Ding Huibo, and Guo Baogang to tie Mr. Wang to a bed and put 55-pound rice sacks on top of each of Mr. Wang's legs for two hours. Liu said maliciously, "I would bury all Falun Gong practitioners alive if I had the authority." Mr. Sun Baoying became mentally disordered after he was tortured for about six months in Benxi Forced Labour Camp.

• Policemen from Wanquan County of Zhangjiakou City Arrest Several Dafa Practitioners

  Police surrounded practitioner Zhao Wanying's home. Although he was not at home, his wife and daughter were there and the police stayed for more than 40 hours. Police ransacked their home and took away Mr. Zhao's wife and his daughter, who are not practitioners, to the county police department. It has been over a week now, and the child is still not allowed to go to school. According to some witnesses, Mr. Zhao's wife suffered a heart attack. Their current whereabouts are not known. The policemen monitored Mr. Zhao's residence for two days, hoping to capture Mr. Zhao and any practitioners who go to his home. The policemen have been camped out inside his home and eating his food.

• Practitioner Mr. Yang Jisheng, In His Fifties, Died as a Result of Torture in 2005

  Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Yang Jisheng was sentenced to forced labour in 2002, and was tortured in the Jinzhou City Labour Camp. He refused to accept the brainwashing, and guards deprived him of sleep and forced him to sit on a wooden board for a long period of time. A criminal was incited by the guards to beat Mr. Yang cruelly, causing Mr. Yang to have such a severe headache that he could not talk, and had no strength.The torture resulted in his having severe headaches caused by fluid on the brain, and he had to have an operation. He lost the sight in both eyes, and his whole body was swollen, including his legs, which prevented him from walking. Yang Jisheng died in June 2005.

  Qingyang District People's Hospital in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, actively cooperates with the city 610 Office and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). They have systematically killed close to ten Falun Gong practitioners. Many Falun Gong practitioners were force-fed there and injected with nerve-damaging drugs. On May 5th, 2007, another Dafa practitioner, Ms. Zhao Zhonglin, was killed at the hospital. She was only forty-four years old.

• I Became Disabled in Jiamusi Forced Labour Camp in Heilongjiang Province

  On January 25th, 2005, I explained the facts about the true nature of Falun Gong to a person called Liu Lijie. He reported me, I was arrested and sentenced to two years of forced labour. In the evil den that is Heigemu Forced Labour Camp, the food and living conditions were horrible. We were only given soup for all meals, with nothing but a few vegetable leaves or chunks of turnip in the soup. One day, I even found a dead mouse in the soup. Besides the horrid living conditions, we were forced to do 10 hours of labour every day. To do the labour, we were forced to sit in a dark, cold workroom for a long time and no one was allowed to move or talk. If one couldn't finish the task, one had to work overtime. And the guards would constantly beat and verbally abuse us every day. I was under intense mental and physical stress for a long time.

• Details of the Persecution Professor Wang Guilan Has Endured Over the Past Eight Years

  Ms. Wang Guilan is an associate professor at the College of Public Health at Hebei Medical University and a Falun Dafa practitioner. Since July 1999, Wang Guilan went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, but she was repeatedly detained. In 2000, she held a hunger strike to protest the unjust detainment and four people held her to the ground and force fed her through a rough tube despite the risk to her life. Later police stepped on her legs, slapped her, pulled her hair, and tortured her with the "killer rope." The rope cut into her flesh, and her arms became purple and blue. The torture made her arms numb for almost a year.

  On March 14th, 2007, because practitioner Mr. Peng Shuquan persisted in cultivating Falun Dafa after being imprisoned by the Chinese Communist Party at the Suihua City Forced Labour Camp, the guards tortured him with the "Handcuff Hanging Torture", sealed his mouth with adhesive tape to silence him, inserted three boxes of lit cigarettes as well as garlic and hot pepper in his nose, completely burned all of his pubic hair, burned his finger with a lit cigarette and a cigarette lighter until it was completely charred, and also shocked him with electric batons.

• After Three Years of Torture in a Forced Labour Camp, Mr. Qi Mingli Is Transferred to Fushun City Brainwashing Centre in Liaoning Province

  Mr. Qi Mingli is a practitioner from Liaoning Province. After detaining him in a forced labour camp for three years, the police transferred him to a brainwashing centre located in the Luotai Mountain Retreat area of Fushun City, where those in charge continue to torture him. Due to the persecution, Mr. Qi became disabled long ago and his vision is getting worse and worse. He is only able to see things within a range of less than two metres (6.5 ft).
