"In May 2003, I was arrested and detained in the Wuhan Detention Centre for distributing materials to clarify the facts about the persecution of Falun Dafa. Later, I was sent to a psychiatric hospital south of Wuhan City in Hubei Province. During this time, I was subjected one of the cruellest tortures--being electro-shocked with needles inserted into my temple. While the electric current was passing through me, my whole body was convulsing with great force. The pain was unbearable. It was like a knife stabbing into my head." -

Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. He Xiuling Tortured to Death; Yantai City Police Attempt to Cover Up the Truth with Bribery
2004-09-19Ms. He Xiuling was tortured to death on March 11, 2004 for believing in Falun Gong and being a good person in accordance with, "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance". The responsible parties are the "610 Office", Detention Centre and Yuhuangding Hospital in Yantai City. I have been appealing for justice to the Supreme Procuratorate. The "610 Office " has sent people to bribe me many times. They even asked my neighbour to pressure me, telling her they'd pay 100,000 Yuan, or even more if necessary on the condition that I gave up my appeals. -
Supplementary Information Regarding the Torture Death of Liu Chengjun
2004-09-19In December 2003, Dafa practitioner Mr. Liu Chengjun was on the verge of death due to persecution at Jilin City Prison. He was sent twice in one week to a hospital. After the horrific deeds of the prison were partially made public, Liu's family members went to the hospital, demanding his release. The labour camp hospital was shocked, and immediately held a meeting to investigate how the news had leaked out. Their fear after discovering that their deeds had been exposed was quite significant. -

2004-09-19Torture method: Pliers are used to pinch and pull on fingers and toes: The perpetrators first isolate and pinch the two top segments of a practitioners' finger; then they use metal pliers to clamp hard on the bones and fingernails. (The practitioners lose consciousness during this procedure.) They do the same with the practitioners' toenails. This is how they proceed: They first clamp the index finger of the left hand and then they crush the big toe on the left foot. -
Ten Torture Methods Used on Dafa Practitioners in Various Forced Labour Camps (Illustrations)
2004-09-18Method 2: Force-feeding: With the victim bound to a bed or chair, the persecutors pry their mouths open and force-feed them using a funnel or tubing reaching into the stomach. Before feeding, the persecutors first pull the tubing up and down, and back and forth repeatedly. This usually results in bleeding of oesophagus and stomach, and is extremely painful. The victim is then fed unknown substances, drugs, or a high density solution of salt and water. Practitioners often vomit after force-feeding. -
Brutal Persecution Carried Out in Tianjin's Yushan Forced Labour Camp
2004-09-18The Yushan Forced Labour Camp in Tianjin City tortures Falun Dafa practitioners brutally. They try to force practitioners to walk back and forth on our Teacher's picture and shout obscene words. When practitioners refuse to comply, the guards stab, shock and beat the sensitive places on the body including the head, neck and private parts with big long needles, electric batons and wooden sticks. Prisoners force-feed Falun Gong practitioners and mix food with large amounts of salt, toothpaste, chili powder, and even faeces. -
Mr. Yuan Shunhua of East China Normal University Deprived of the Right of Study
2004-09-18Mr. Yuan Shunhua, age 26, began his undergraduate studies at the Department of Art Education of East China Normal University in 1997. On July 20, 1999, the university heads had several private talks with him, threatening him with removal from his class monitor post and expulsion from the Youth League of Chinese Communist Party. They pressured his family, trying to coerce him into denouncing Falun Gong and criticizing Falun Gong in accordance with Party propaganda. In 2000, Yuan Shunhua went to Beijing to appeal and was sent to a labour camp and deprived of the right to go to university. -

Frenzied Beating Causes Death of Elderly Sichuan Province Dafa Practitioner Mr. Xia Wei
2004-09-17Since July 19, 1999, 56-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Xia Wei and his wife Deng Zhongqin from Sichuan Province were cruelly persecuted because they persisted in their practice of Dafa. On July 19, 2000, Xia Wei was abducted by the police and beaten unconscious. After that he suffered with symptoms such as frequently vomiting blood, chest pain and dizziness. Under the long period of persecution and harassment, he died on November 12, 2001. His wife was sentenced to two and a half years of forced labour -
Belated News: A Female Falun Dafa Practitioner Died in Detention in 2002 in Shandong Province
2004-09-17Around 2002, police from Weifang City, Shandong Province abducted a female Falun Dafa practitioner and took her to a Detention Centre. She refused to tell the police her name and address and went on a hunger strike to protest against this illegal persecution. The inhuman police knew that the practitioner had heart disease, yet they still tortured her by brutally force-feeding her. After 13 days of being on a hunger strike, this practitioner passed away unjustly, in a place far away from her hometown. The practitioner was around 30 years old. Her family might not even know about her death. -
Police in Chongqing City Hold Four-Year-Old Girl Hostage and Brutally Persecute Her Parents and Her Grandmother (Photo)
2004-09-17Four-year-old Zhang Yuanyuan has been held hostage by police officers in Chongqing for six months because her parents, Mr. Zhang Hongxu and Ms. Wu Yongmei, both practise Falun Gong. Since the persecution of Falun Gong began, the authorities have detained the girl's parents repeatedly and sent them to forced labour camps. To avoid further persecution, they were forced to leave home. Their child was left in the care of her grandmother. The authorities then mistreated the girl's grandma, who suffered dementia from the stress, leaving her unable to care for her grandchild. -

2004-09-17Torture method: The "Stitch": Using a needle about 4 inches long, the police pass the needle through the victim's back so that a thin nylon line is sent through the flesh, just like sewing clothes. They then rub preserved salty vegetables into the stitches. The guards or warden order criminals to yank on the nylon line once in a while, causing excruciating pain. -
Practitioner Ms. Wang Xia Weighs 20 Kilograms After Torture (Photos)
2004-09-16Thirty-year-old Falun Gong practitioner Wang Xia from Linhe City, Inner Mongolia was tortured in Hohhot City Prison until she was left in a coma as little more than skin and bones. Wang Xia still lapses in and out of coma. She cannot take care of herself at all. Her parents and sister take turns looking after her. Her family cries every day from grief and indignation. The perpetrators planned to cremate her alive to destroy the evidence.
