Mr. Feng Zhen from Wuhai City Arrested Eight Times and Imprisoned for Seven Years
2009-10-28Since the persecution of Falun Gong started on July 20th, 1999, Mr. Feng Zhen has been arrested eight times and imprisoned for seven years due to his refusal to renounce Falun Gong. In December 2002, the Wuchang District Court sentenced him to 7 years in prison. He was then sent to the Quanqingkou Prison and then the Fanjiatai Prison in Hubei Province. On October 28th, 2008, Mr. Feng's prison term was up. He got his release certificate the day before. His family came to the prison gate at 5 a.m. on the day of his release. However, the prison officials refused to release him and told his family that he had left. After his family left, the officials from the 610 Office arranged to transport him to the Yangyuan Brainwashing Centre. He was subjected to brainwashing for a month. -
Wu Zhengping Detained in Guangzhou Chatou Forced Labour Camp for Two Years
2009-10-28Ms. Wu Zhengping has been arrested and detained four times since the persecution began in July 1999. Her happy family was destroyed by the persecution. Wu Zhengping now lives in a very difficult situation with no financial resources. Because of the endless persecution, her husband refuses to help. In detention in the Guangzhou Armed Police Hospital, Wu Zhengping became emaciated. She weighed less than 90 pounds, and her body was extremely weak. Even in this condition, police dragged Wu Zhengping to a prison cell and bound her feet and arms to the bed, force-feeding her in front of many people in the same cell. They did not remove the feeding tube which had been inserted through her nose into her stomach until the next afternoon. -
Mr. Zhang Xu from Yitong County, Jilin Province, Has Suffered Five Years of Detention and Persecution
2009-10-28Mr. Zhang Xu is a Falun Gong practitioner from Yitong County, Jilin Province. In March 2002, he was arrested and tortured. In November 2002 he was sentenced to five years and sent to Jilin City Second Prison. When he was arrested police tortured Mr. Zhang in the police station. Police hit him with metal objects, leaving injuries on his wrists, lower back, and ankles. They also stabbed his fingers with needles and covered his head with plastic bags. They didn't give him any water to drink or allow him to sleep. One man put a copy of a Falun Gong book on his chest while another man banged the book with a hammer. -
Ms. Huang Guifen from Rongcheng, Shandong Province Persecuted
2009-10-28Ms. Huang Guifen was arrested in May 2007. Later she was sent to Shandong Province No. 2 Forced Labour Camp and tortured brutally there. Ms. Huang was deprived of sleep. She was not allowed to brush her teeth or to shower. They forced her to sit on a little bench for a long time. The guards also instigated Wang Meixia, who helps the police to persecute practitioners, to watch Ms. Huang. Wang Meixia did not allow Ms. Huang to speak. She even watched Ms. Huang when she used the toilet. In the meantime, the perpetrators kept playing the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) recordings and videos that slander Falun Gong. Guards forced Ms. Huang to work every day for 13 hours. -
Justice System in Shuangyashan City Co-operates with the 610 Office to Persecute Ms. Hu Qili
2009-10-27Ms. Hu Qili was fired from her job for practising Falun Gong. For the same reason, she was detained and imprisoned in forced labour camps many times. On September 25th, 2009, the Jianshan District Court in Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province, held a trial for Ms. Hu. From her arrest to the trial, the justice system violated the law on numerous occasions. During her most recent arrest, police officers deceived her into opening her door by pretending to be fee collectors. Once inside her home, they searched it without a warrant and seized private property and cash. According to an insider, in early August, the Shuangyashan City 610 Office held a justice system meeting. They ordered the Jianshan Court to find Ms. Hu guilty and have the trial finished by September 15th, 2009. -
Ms. Sha Yulian Repeatedly Arrested and Tortured by 610 Office Agents
2009-10-27Ms. Sha Yulian is retired from Baoji City Light Machinery Factory. She is sixty-one years old. She began practising Falun Gong in September of 1996. Since Jiang Zemin's, [former leader of China and instigator of the persecution] regime began the persecution of Falun Gong, Ms. Sha Yulian has been persecuted numerous times by the 610 Office because she refused to give up her belief. She was arrested and held four times and sentenced to a labour camp twice. -
Ms. Wei Maoxia and Her Son Arrested and Her Husband Became Homeless to Avoid Further Persecution
2009-10-27Wei Maoxia and her family has suffered continuous harassment and persecution. Three police officers from Yanzhou Domestic Security Division in Shandong have repeatedly searched Wei Maoxia's home several times and have detained her on and off during August and September. Now Wei Maoxia and her son Zhang Chao are being mistreated in a detention centre. Wei Maoxia's is now homeless to avoid further persecution. -
Methods of Torture Used in Chongqing City Women's Forced Labour Camp
2009-10-27The authorities of the labour camp screened the most ruthless, poisonous, and wicked inmates to control the practitioners and provided them with special training session just for that purpose. During the training, the inmates were told publicly, "Any benevolence towards Falun Gong is an injury to yourself." The guards publicly incite and force the inmates to do evil, and the inmates go all out to persecute the practitioners to gain rewards. -
Cao Dong Locked in Solitary Confinement
2009-10-26Practitioner Mr. Cao Dong's wife, Ms. Yang Xiaojing, died as a result of persecution on October 1st, 2009. Her family requested many times to allow Mr. Cao to visit his wife before her death, but all their requests were refused. After her death, Ms. Yang's parents carried her ashes to the prison authorities and begged them to let Mr. Cao see her ashes, but they were also refused. Mr. Cao has been locked in solitary confinement with his cell windows sealed, and no one is allowed to contact him or to even come close to his cell. -
Mr. Liu Laibin, 67, Dies After Enduring Five Years of Imprisonment
2009-10-26On June 24th, 2003, practitioner Mr. Liu Laibin was arrested and detained in the Yingkou City Detention Centre, where he was brutally beaten by other prisoners. Guard Yi Zhaoyun forced Mr. Liu to do more than 10 hours of labour, and he often had to work overtime and into the night. He had very little sleep. The authorities put Mr. Liu on trial on December 5th, 2003, and sentenced him to five years in prison. Mr. Liu's life was in danger twice due to torture, but the prison refused to release him. He died on October 10th, 2009. -
High School Student Persecuted to the Point of Mental Collapse for Practising Falun Gong
2009-10-26Wang Jinghua, 22, is from Pengbei Village, Dingsiqiao Town, Xianning City, Hubei Province. While Wang Jinghua, 22, was studying at Dingsi Middle School, and Xianning City High School, he explained the facts about Falun Gong to his classmates, and was thus scrutinised and pressured by the school administrators. He was harassed and threatened many times and later forced to quit the school by the Xian'an District 610 Office in Xianning City, and schools. He was eventually driven to mental collapse in November 2006. -
Good Wife and Loving Mother Sent to Forced Labour Camp
2009-10-26Ms. Wang Huijun, a fifty-eight-year-old Falun Gong practitioner and resident of Beian City, Heilongjiang Province, was arrested and sent to Beian Detention Centre after she told people the facts about Falun Gong in Shengli Village in mid-June 2009. In late July she was sent to Harbin Forced Labour Camp for a term of one-and-a-half years. -
Mr. Jiang Hong's Family Persecuted in Shuangliu County, Sichuan Province
2009-10-25Mr. Jiang Hong, 41, is a Falun Gong practitioner in Huayang Town, Shuangliu County, Sichuan Province. His wife, Wang Haixia, his father, Jiang Mingtai, and his mother, Wu Minhua, are all Falun Gong practitioners. In the past ten years, Mr. Jiang's family has been persecuted several times. In 1999, Mr. Jiang Hong, Wang Haixia, and Wu Minhua, went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, and were arrested by officers from the Huayang Town Police Station, Shuangliu County. Jiang Hong was sentenced to three and a half years of forced labour. He was beaten up by prisoners and guards in Deyang Prison. He was left out in the direct sun and was forced to work many hours. His front teeth were knocked out by prison guards. -
Ms. Zhang Ying Tortured in a Detention Centre in Shanghai
2009-10-25Ms. Zhang Ying has been on a hunger strike for 30 days to protest her arrest and interrogation with torture. She was brutally force fed while her four limbs were tied to a bed. She was very weak and could not stand up. The Changning District Police Station arrested her. Her family has called for help to rescue her. Ms. Zhang told her lawyer that she was interrogated with torture. Her lawyer has written a legal document based on her account and sent it to the Discipline Inspection Department in the Public Security Bureau and Judicial Disciplinary Department in the Procuratorate to request an investigation. -
Shenyang City: Shenhe Public Security Police Arrest Practitioners
2009-10-25Under orders from Liaoning Province Police Headquarters, Public Security police from Shenhe District Police Department in Shenyang City arrested more than ten Falun Gong practitioners in September 2009. Using techniques such as stalking, waiting in the dark, and using violence and a black hood, they arrested the practitioners. Practitioner Ms. Tu is now being held at the Shenyang Detention Centre, and Ms. Wang at a brainwashing centre called "Shenyang Legal Education School". Both of them started hunger strikes to demand their unconditional release.
