Germany: Letting People Know about Falun Gong and Exposing the Persecution During the Dresden Town Festival
2006-08-162006 is the year of Dresden’s 800th anniversary celebration. A culture festival was held between July 21st and 23rd and was an important part of the 800th anniversary. Some of the visitors held deep discussions with the practitioners. Many signed a petition for the rescue of Falun Gong practitioner Wang Xiaoyan in China. -
Finland: Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance International Art Exhibition Held in Helsinki
2006-08-16From the 1st to the 10th of August, 2006, the fourth Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance International Art Exhibition in Finland was held in Kannelmki Library in Helsinki. Some of the artists have been illegally detained and persecuted in Mainland China. Library staff became the first visitors and afterwards they all said the exhibition was very good. -
Bulgaria: Support for Practitioners from the Bulgarian Helsinki Committee
2006-08-15The Bulgarian Helsinki Committee (BHC) supported Falun Gong practitioners in Bulgaria. This happened during a press conference organised on July 20th, 2006, marking seven years of the persecution of Falun Gong in China by the Communist regime. During the event Mrs. Juliana Metdieva, Editor-in-Chief of the BHC magazine “Objective”, gave a speech. She said that the persecution of Falun Gong is the cruelest crime. She added that Falun Gong is a unique way for people to live a harmonious, adequate and natural life. -
Germany: Falun Gong at Dresden’s “Zwinger”
2006-08-15July 2nd, 2006, was a scorching day. Many visitors that came to enjoy Dresden’s 800th birthday preferred shady areas. The temporary stage and the spectator area in the eastern section of the Zwinger were smack in the middle of the blazing sun. A small area that was lucky to get some shade from the baroque buildings was filled with people, while barely anyone stood in the sun drenched spectator area. Our European Falun Gong choir first stayed in the sun, but then also retreated to under the arches of the stairs in front of the Eastern exit. -
Scotland: Practitioners Held a Parade in Edinburgh to Protest against Organ Harvesting
2006-08-14On August 5th, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners held a parade in Edinburgh to protest against organ harvesting and called for an end to the persecution of the practice in China. Falun Gong practitioners also collected signatures for the petition against the persecution on several street corners. Many people signed the petition and wished the practitioners good luck. -
Spain: Falun Gong Practitioners Expose the Truth about Falun Gong to the Chinese Community
2006-08-14...Nevertheless, the elderly man did not stop his accusation but argued for the CCP’s narrow theory of nationalism. Two people in the crowd stood by his side and said some bad words. They even went up to snatch practitioners’ leaflets, tore them up and threw them on the ground. The police on duty took the two Chinese people aside, asked them questions, and recorded their names. European Media Reports that European Union Should Adjust the Unbalanced Relationship with Communist China
2006-08-14A report in the “European Voice” said that the excessively weak stand of the European Union in free trade against China is very disappointing. The report also pointed out that the same situation happened in the human rights issues too. Not only is the dialogue between China and the European Union weak, but so is it between China and the fifteen European countries (including Norway and Switzerland). China has greatly enhanced its defense ability in international negotiation; however, in fact its human right situation has not truly improved. The recent incident of a large number of Falun Gong practitioners being forced to “donate” organs is an obvious example. -
Germany: Revealing the Persecution of Falun Dafa to the People of Frankfurt
2006-08-13To mark the beginning of the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong in China, Falun Gong practitioners from Frankfurt held activities from July 20th until the 22nd at the Chinese Consulate and in the busy outdoor shopping area on Zeil Strasse in Frankfurt. Passers-by and visitors to the Consulate also received fliers and were asked to sign a petition to end the persecution. Many commented, “I can’t believe that this is happening in today’s world!” -
Czech Republic: The Chinese Communist Party's Crimes Exposed
2006-08-13On July 15th, 2006, some Czech Falun Gong practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises in Hodonin city to expose the CCP’s political persecution against Falun Gong. The crime of illegally harvesting and selling Falun Gong practitioners’ organs exposed recently especially attracted the local people’s attention. United Kingdom: Showing the Beauty of Falun Gong in the Edinburgh International Festival Cavalcade
2006-08-12On August 6th, UK Falun Gong practitioners participated in the cavalcade of the 30th Edinburgh International Festival. This was the fifth year in a row that Falun Gong practitioners have taken part. The Falun Gong section of the cavalcade included banners, a flag dancing formation, a float with exercise demonstrations and drum players. -
Sweden : Exposing the CCP’s Organ Harvesting Crimes during the European Athletics Championship - Part 1
2006-08-12Between the 6th and the 13th of August, the European Atheletics Championship is taking place in Gothenburg. The culture and entertainment event EC Party is happening at the same time and 200,000 people are expected to visit the city. These events have given Swedish practitioners an opportunity to inform many people about the persecution. -

Belgium: Exposing the CCP’s Crimes in Brussels Chinatown
2006-08-12Belgian Falun Gong practitioners held activities in Chinatown, Brussels to support over a eleven million people quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and to expose the CCP’s crimes of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners. In addition, a large-scale photo exhibition was displayed. The exhibited photos depicted Chinese Falun Gong practitioners being subjected to persecution. -
Switzerland: It's Time to End this Seven-Year-Long Persecution
2006-08-11The scene on July 22nd, 2006, was not an unusual one for the many passersby on Zurich's Parade Square. In this year alone, similar activities have been held seven times. Each time, many passersby had the opportunity to learn the facts of the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. The strong contrast between the graceful exercises and the brutal persecution initially confused some people.
