On April 25th 2005, exactly six years after 10,000 Falun Gong practitioners in China went to peacefully appeal for freedom and justice, North German practitioners held activities to call attention to the persecution of Falun Gong in China. It has been a long time since practitioners encountered such a sympathetic public as the one they found that day. -
Falun Gong Human Rights Working Group Lodges Complaint with UN Against Singapore for Issuing Unjust Verdict

The organization Falun Gong Human Rights Working Group lodged a complaint against Singapore with the United Nations on April 29th 2005, over the case in which the Singapore police violated the basic human rights of two Falun Gong practitioners and the court issued an unfair verdict. Singapore, as a member of the United Nations, should respect and observe the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. -
Spain: Practitioners hold Activities to Commemorate April 25th 1999

On April the 25th, Spanish Falun Gong practitioners held a photo exhibition at Socodover Square in Toledo city centre to commemorate the 6th anniversary of the April 25th peaceful appeal. They showed the peace and beauty of Falun Gong and the persecution practitioners are suffering in China, and they called on people to be concerned and make efforts to stop this persecution. -
Letter from Nordic Falun Dafa Association to the Norway Singapore Consul
2005-05-06There are today court cases in some 20 different countries against the former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin and his collaborators. They face charges of torture, crimes against humanity and genocide. These cases are according to the development of international law. The Swedish Government for instance plans to allow for court proceedings in Sweden against such crimes, independent of where they are carried out – a plan in the spirit of Martin Luther King jr: “A threat to justice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” -

Ukraine: Art Exhibition Aroused Good Nature in People’s Hearts

From the 21st to the 24th of April 2005, Falun Gong practitioners from several cities in Ukraine went to the Art Museum in Vinnitsa city to hold the “Journey of Falun Dafa” photo exhibition. The exhibition was a great way for people in the city to find out what Falun Gong is and why the peaceful practice is being violently persecuted in China. -

German Falun Gong Information Centre: Deported to China then Imprisoned in a Slave Labour Camp

On March 7th 2005, a young married Chinese couple and their two infants were deported to their homeland, China. On Saturday, the husband was taken to a slave labour camp. They had applied for asylum, because they practised Falun Gong. Regrettably, the authorities believed it to be an invalid application. They believed that the young couple wanted to stay in Germany. -

Letter to the Singapore High Commissioner to UK from Non-governmental Organisation "European Friends of Falun Gong"
2005-05-05We wish to express our extreme concern at the unjustly harsh treatment of Falun Gong practitioners Cheng Lujin and Ng Chye Huay by the Singapore authorities following their recent convictions for ‘Assembling without a permit’ and ‘Possessing and mailing out uncertified VCDs’ in February 2003 in Esplanade Park, Singapore. The pair had since been held in custody pending trial and were convicted on April 27th 2005. Both practitioners appealed against the convictions and were given excessive fines of $20,000 and $24,000 respectively by a court in Singapore. -

They called upon the Singapore Government to immediately revoke the groundless prosecution and sentencing of two innocent Singapore practitioners. They told the Singapore authorities not to bow to pressure from the Chinese Communist Party. -
A Petition from the International Society for Human Rights Calls for Immediate Action to Rescue Jiang Renzheng
2005-05-04On April 9th 2005, Mr. Renzheng was sentenced without trial to three years of forced labour, to be served in a forced labour camp in Benxi City. He was sentenced because he practises Falun Gong and he was charged with “Endangering public security.” Since July 20th 1999, the day when the PRC began the persecution of Falun Gong, more than 100,000 people have been detained. As of April 2005, we are aware of 1,583 verifiable deaths due to torture while held in China’s forced labour camps, police stations and psychiatric clinics. The International Society for Human Right (ISHR) demands the immediate release of Jiang Renzheng. -

They also conveyed the reason behind the persecution: The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is notoriously known for its “falsity, evilness and violence”, principles that are very different from Falun Gong, which is based on “Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance.” -
Slovakia: People of Partizanske show Support for Falun Gong Practitioners’ Human Rights

People in Partizanske found it hard to believe that these popular exercises could be the target of persecution, even though the older generation could remember the harm caused by the communists in Slovakia. People advised us wholeheartedly to stay longer, because there was going to be a cultural event in the city that afternoon.
