State Security Bureau Officials Harass Overseas Practitioner's Family in China

I started practising Falun Gong in 1996. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started persecuting Falun Gong on July 20th, 1999. At the end of 1999, when I went back to China to appeal for justice for Falun Gong, I was detained in the Shenyang Longshan Forced Labour Camp for half a year. Though I am now an American resident, the CCP still constantly harasses my family in China in an attempt to threaten me. In the past several months, two spies from the No. 11 Section of Shenyang City's State Security Bureau regularly harassed my parents, who are both over 70 years old. -
Dai Jianguo from Jiujiang City Brutally Beaten and Arrested
2009-10-17On September 18th, 2009, a group of policemen arrived at Dai Jianguo's home. They cut off his electricity, and when a family member came out to check the fuse, they rushed into his home and brutally beat him. When Mr. Dai's mother tried to stop them, she was also beaten. After the beating, the police handcuffed him, carried him downstairs into a waiting police car, and took him away. They also ransacked his home and took away many valuables. Mr. Dai is currently imprisoned in the Shili Detention Centre, Jiujiang City. -
Respected Civil Servant Mr. Zhao Wuhu Detained; His Family Members Suffering Various Forms of Persecution
2009-10-17Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhao Wuhu was an outstanding civil servant. He was persecuted for his belief in Falun Gong and was forced to leave home to avoid further persecution. On September 18th, 2009, police arrested Mr. Zhao at his home and took him to the Xiong County Public Security Bureau. They ransacked his home and confiscated two notebook computers and a printer. Later, Mr. Zhao was taken back to Anxin County and detained. Mr. Zhao had previously been arrested during the 2008 Olympics, and later fled his home when the local police tried to arrest him again. Mr. Zhao's mother while she was shopping and detained her in the Anxin County Detention Centre. Her family managed to get her released. -
Ms. Chen Zhenbo Near Death from Torture at Wangcun Forced Labour Camp
2009-10-16Ms. Chen Zhenbo has been jailed at Wangcun Forced Labour Camp for about a year. During this time, the guards did various things to this practitioner, like inciting inmates to beat her, inserting needles into her ears, and pouring ice water on her. The guard incited these inmates, and other inmates who were drug addicts, to torture her. These inmates broke Chen Zhenbo's collar bone by kicking her. Currently, Chen Zhenbo is on the verge of death as a result of the ongoing torture. -
Torture and Crimes Against Humanity at Masanjia Forced Labour Camp
2009-10-16In June 2008, the camp held a meeting for attacking Falun Gong. Ms. Zhang Guozhen shouted, "Falun Gong is good!" Zhang Chunguang tortured her with the "big hang up" for more than ten hours. She was then unable to walk and her wrists were full of blisters. On October 7th, Ms. Zhang was shocked with the electric baton for more than three hours and guard Zhang Chunguang slapped her with a shoe sole. -
Wang Jinfeng and Her Husband Still Homeless After Seven Years
2009-10-16Because they practise Falun Gong, Ms. Wang Jinfeng and her husband have been tortured by Tian Guangquan and the other officers from the Hanbei Police Station, in Baoding City, Hebei Province. They have been harassed, arrested, and imprisoned, and their residence has been ransacked. Consequently, Ms. Wang and her husband were forced to become destitute and homeless to avoid further persecution. Seven years has passed, and their parents have also been harassed and threatened -
Practitioner Ms. Peng Dongjun Brutally Tortured
2009-10-16Personnel from the Chinese Communist Party have incited those who don't know the facts about Falun Gong to manipulate, follow, monitor, harass and threaten Ms. Peng Dongjun since September, 2009. Ms. Peng was previously imprisoned in the Tongliang County Detention Centre where she was brutally tortured. The officials stole her money and belongings and destroyed her personal property. In December 2000, when Ms. Peng again went to Beijing to appeal for the right to practise Falun Gong, she was arrested she was sentenced to four years of forced labour, and was imprisoned in the Yongchuan Women's Prison in Sichuan Province. -
Doctor at Rushan City People's Hospital Arrested for Telling People about Falun Gong
2009-10-15On September 22nd, 2009, while Doctor Zhou Jun of the Rushan City People's Hospital in Shandong Province was working as usual in her office, a group of people came to her office, claiming they were from the Domestic Security Division and the Shangyejie Police Station. Without showing any IDs, they searched her desk, took her away, and put her in the Rushan Detention Centre. The police took her away because she told others that "Falun Gong is good." The police also forced her husband to go home with them and ransacked their place as well. -
Forty-six Innocent Women are Held at Chongqing Women's Forced Labour Camp
2009-10-15The Chongqing Women's Forced Labour Camp is in Shabao, Jiangbei District of Chongqing City. Most detained Falun Gong practitioners are incarcerated at brigade No. 4. Those innocent women are assigned inmates who monitor and torture them 24 hours a day. The inmate monitors are drug addicts, and they force practitioners to stand or squat in a military style for long periods of time. They berate and beat practitioners at will. -
Li Jifeng from Shulan City Beaten and Tortured Several Times
2009-10-15Mr. Li Jifeng is from Shulan City, Jilin Province. After becoming a Falun Gong practitioner, he was strict with himself yet tolerant of others. Everyone speaks very highly of him. Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started to persecute Falun Gong on July 20th, 1999, Mr. Li has been arrested and detained several times. Because he refuses to give up the practice, he has been brutally tortured. -
Lanzhou Brainwashing Centre Detains Sixty-Year-Old for 15 months
2009-10-15It has been one year and three months since 60-year-old Lanzhou Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Chen Guifang was imprisoned in the Lanzhou City Law prison, actually a brainwashing centre at Gongjiawan. The brainwashing centre refused to release her because she would not renounce the practice and teachings of Falun Gong. Another practitioner, 65-year-old Mr Qian Shiguang, was detained several times and was sentenced to forced labour three times. He was tortured and his life was endangered several times. He was arrested in May 2005 again and was detained at the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Centre. He had been tortured for three years and on September 8th, 2008, he was persecuted to death . -
Hong Kong Resident Ms. Li Yaohua and Her Daughter Face Prosecution; Son in the U.S. Calls for Help
2009-10-14Falun Gong practitioners and Hong Kong residents Ms. Li Yaohua and her daughter Ms. Zhang Zhibo are very likely to be prosecuted in a Shanghai court in the next few days. They have been held in the Xuhui Detention Centre for nearly four months on charges of "producing and distributing Falun Gong video CDs and booklets." Ms. Li's son, Mr. Zhang Zhiyuan, now a lecturer in the Dental Faculty of California University in Los Angeles, has called for public attention to his mother's case in an effort to stop the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) from continuing with this unlawful prosecution. -
Women's Prison of Hebei Province: A Criminal Organization
2009-10-14The Women's Prison of Hebei Province is supposedly an organization meant to execute the law; however, it is actually a criminal organization. It has been brutally persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. The prison guards specifically make use of the violent criminals in the inmate population to torture Falun Gong practitioners. In May 2009, a female guard searched practitioner Ms. Yang Runying and found and confiscated a Falun Gong book. That night, officer Zhang Runying punched, kicked and slapped Ms. Yang. Then officer Zhang instigated a gang of inmates to brutally beat her once again. -
State Security Arrested Three Practitioners in Hanzhong City, Shanxi Province
2009-10-14Practitioners Mr. Liu Wei, about 50, Mr. Chen Zhengxian, about 65, and Ms. Guo Jianzhen, 52, were arrested by the State Security Office on September 25th, 2009. The officers ransacked Mr. Liu's home and took some of his personal belongings, including a computer. It is not clear where these practitioners are being held. An unconfirmed source said that the 610 Office had secretly established a brainwashing centre, so it is possible they are in Hanzhong City, Wuxiang Town. -
Ms. Xiao Deying Mistreated in Baimalong Forced Labour Camp
2009-10-14Ms. Xiao Deying was arrested and sentenced to one year of forced labour in 2008. She suffered brainwashing, slave labour and corporal punishment in the Baimalong Forced Labour Camp. She was locked in a small cell and forced to sit on a small bench all day long. The police sent three inmates to brainwash her and three drug addicts to watch her. One of the inmates, Wu Lin from Changsha City, screamed and cursed at Ms. Xiao almost non-stop except when she was sleeping or eating. Under the brutal torture, Ms. Xiao was forced to give up her practice of Falun Gong.
