Practitioner Liu Xiuli from Jilin City Suffered Persecution

In October 2000, Ms. Liu Xiuli went to Beijing to appeal, seeking justice for Falun Gong. She held a banner at Tiananmen Square with the words "Falun Dafa is Good". She was pushed down onto the ground by police right away and was beaten. Her head bleed because of the beating. She was later sent to a police station, where police forced her to stand in the baking sun. Because she refused to say her name and address, police used needles to poke at her stomach, and used electronic batons to shock her mouth and face. -
Arrest and Subsequent Release of Falun Gong Practitioner Liu Liping's Lawyer in Hegang City
2006-07-05Xiangyang District Court commenced a trial on June 13th, 2006 against five Falun Gong practitioners. Practitioner Liu Liping's lawyer submitted a "not guilty" plea for her. Liu Liping had told the lawyer of all the severe tortures she had experienced inside the detention centre. He had not imagined that Falun Gong practitioners had been treated so badly. With Liu Liping's request on May 28th, Liu Lijuan's husband and the lawyer went to the police department to ask for the return of 2,500 Yuan confiscated from her. The police said, "The money cannot be returned." Later that day the lawyer was preparing to go to Harbin City and six riot policemen arrested him giving no reasons for the arrest. -
Thugs Liu Jie and Liu Jinhu from Weihai City 610 Office Brutally Injure Dafa Practitioners
2006-07-05In the brainwashing centre of the 610 Office, one time officer Liu Jinhu repeatedly beat a practitioner until the practitioner fell down. He asked the practitioner to get up and then beat the practitioner again until the practitioner could no longer stand. The practitioner said, "I won't get up. You are just going to beat me again." Liu said, "Who beat you? Who saw it?" Practitioner Ms. Tian Li was tortured by the iron chair, and because it was so painful, she moved on the iron chair and caused the chair to fall. As a result, Tian broke her neck and was paralysed. Tian was arrested by Liu Jie on May 22, 2002, and passed away on Feb 21st, 2005. She lived in excruciating pain during the last three years before her death. Liu Jie and Liu Jinhu are directly responsible for Tian's death. -
Practitioner Liang Zhenxing, A Key Person for 2002 Changchun Video Broadcasting, Now in Critical Condition from Abuse Suffered at Siping City Prison, Jilin Province
2006-07-04Shiling Prison officials phoned Liang Zhenxing's family members on June 5th, 2006 and requested that they come to the prison for a meeting. The prison officials clearly stated that his wife was not permitted to attend the meeting. They also said that Mr. Liang was extremely weak from a month-long hunger strike. Two prison officials physically supported Liang Zhenxing as they brought him out of the prison cell for the meeting. He had a force-feeding tube in his nose. Sixteen to seventeen prison guards then surrounded Liang Zhenxing's family members. Liang Zhenxing confirmed the fact that he had been tortured. -
After March 5th TV Broadcast Interruption, I Encountered Cruel Persecution by Police from the First Public Security Bureau in Changchun City
2006-07-04After I read the article "The Cruel Persecution of Practitioners Suspected in the May 5th TV Broadcast Interruption by the Changchun First Public Security Bureau", I proceeded to write down the things I knew to expose the persecution. After the broadcast interruption incident, police frantically arrested practitioners. At the time, they suspected that I was one of them and treated me as a "special target". At the police department, about 8 policemen stood in a circle around me and slapped me again and again. One slapped my face more than ten times, and another kept hitting my face until blood spurted from my mouth. They handcuffed both of my hands, and then lifted me up with rope so that only the tips of my toes touched the ground. -
Personnel from Yantai 610 Office Plan to Cremate Ms. He Xiuling's Remains to Destroy Evidence of the Persecution
2006-07-04In 2003, officials from Yantai City 610 Office arrested Ms. He Xiuling in Wendeng City. She was imprisoned in the detention centre for a long time, where she suffered brutal torture. At 7:30 a.m. on March 11th, 2004 the authorities sent He Xiuling to the mortuary even though she was still alive and breathing. She was stripped below the waist and left to freeze in the mortuary. He Xiuling's husband, Falun Gong practitioner Xu Chengben, made a formal request to conduct an investigation on the actual cause of his wife's death. After some discussion an agreement with the operators of the mortuary was reached that no one had the right to dispose of He Xiuling's remains without Xu Chengben's consent. -
Elderly Practitioner Gu Jingshan in Heilongjiang Province Dies after Prolonged Persecution
2006-07-04Mr. Gu Jingshan, 63 years old, was arrested while posting materials exposing the persecution. He was imprisoned at the city detention centre for five months, his body was seriously injured, and the symptoms of a stroke he had before reoccurred, severely limiting mobility in both of his legs. During this time he was infected with scabies and was released. At this time, the scabies spread over his whole body, oozing pus and dripping fluids, and the painful itching made him extremely uncomfortable when he scratched them. For this past year local police officers frequently went to his home to harass and threaten him. Due to the pressure, Gu Jingshan's health deteriorated and he died on February 25th, 2006. -
Six Practitioners from Jilin, Liaoning, Heilongjiang and Shandong Provinces Who Died as a Result of Persecution
2006-07-04Ms. Qian Xiuying was sixty-two years old. On January 1st, 2001, she went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa. She was arrested but managed to get away from her captors. On Chinese New Years Eve, malicious people from her community, along with the local 610 office and the local police substation arrested her and sent her to the Fushun City Forced Labour Camp. They tried to brainwash her there. After she came out, she continued to distribute materials exposing the persecution. She was sent to Masanjia Forced Labour Camp twice. Unable to withstand the relentless abuse, her health deteriorated and she died on April 9th, 2006. -
Zhuozhou Rapist He Xuejian Sentenced; Justice Still Not Served in the Case of Victim Liu Jizhi (Photos)
2006-07-03The Baoding City Intermediate People’s Court in Hebei Province recently conducted three secret trials concerning the case in which a policeman from Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province raped two Falun Gong practitioners on November 25th, 2005. The court finally delivered a judgement: Defendant He Xuejian is guilty of the rape charges and is sentenced to eight years in prison. He is also guilty of indecent harassment of women and is sentenced to three years in prison. The court decided he would serve eight years of imprisonment. -
Brother and Sister Appealing for Their Mother Are Beaten by Police on the Street (Photo)
2006-07-03Because Ms. Zhu Yan practises Falun Gong, her residence has been illegally searched several times and she has been detained several times. Her children went to beg the labour camp officials to release her. They told them to go petition those who arrested her. If they agreed, they would release her. On June 12th, 2006, the two young people went outside the local police station and held up a banner which read "Illegal Imprisonment, No Doors Open for Appeal, Having a Belief System Is Not a Crime." The police beat them in public. One kind-hearted on-looker went up and said, "It is illegal for police to beat people, especially two innocent young adults." -
About Rao Deru, the Young Daughter of Falun Dafa Practitioner Rao Zhuoyuan from Guangzhou City

Rao Zhuoyuan was arrested and detained in forced labour camps and mental hospitals several times. He was tortured to death on August 5th, 2002, at age 34. At the time, his daughter Rao Deru was only four and a half years old. Before her father's death the 610 Office detained Deru's mother in a brainwashing centre in order to prevent her from speaking out about the abuse. -
Shijiazhuang Forced Labour Camp Tortures Falun Dafa Practitioners To Disability
2006-07-03One practitioner with the surname Wu was brutally beaten and hung up with ropes. Steel needles were hammered through his fingers, the joints of his four limbs and his toes were smashed with a hammer, his entire body was shocked with electric batons, and two chopsticks clipped together were used to crush his fingers. A practitioner with the surname Bi used to be the instructor of a police station. He was strong and tall. Now, due to the torture of being forced to stand for long periods of time, he has become paralysed in the lower half of his body, causing loss of control over urination and bowel movements. -
Seventy-Four-Year-Old Practitioner from Sichuan Province Sent to Brainwashing Three Times
2006-07-03I am a 74-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner. Since the persecution began on July 20th, 1999, the local police have arrested and detained me any time they wanted and brutally abused and persecuted me while I was held in detention. While I was held at the Mapingba Brainwashing Centre two officers grabbed my hair and started to beat and kick me. My arms turned black and blue and swelled from the beating. They subsequently handcuffed me to the monkey bar. I was forced to stay under the scorching sun for several hours. They beat me every few days and "baked" me, as well as verbally insulted me. I almost lost consciousness from dehydration. The police were vicious and completely devoid of human nature. -
Practitioner Mr. Lin Shusen from Beijing on a Hunger Strike for Over One Year; Currently in Critical Condition
2006-07-02At the end of April 2005, 32-year-old Mr. Lin Shusen was arrested. On January 23rd, 2006, the Xicheng District Court of Beijing sentenced Mr. Lin to five years in prison because "in 2004, Lin used his real name to publish a Minghui/Clearwisdom.net website article, which revealed the persecution that he and other Falun Gong practitioners in Qianjin Prison suffered." Mr. Lin appealed, but the appeal was rejected. -
Young Teacher Dies after Suffering Cruel Torture at Jinzhou City Labour Camp in Liaoning Province
2006-07-02Mr. Zuo Zhongyou was a 36-year-old teacher. He was twice sent to a forced labour camp for his belief in Falun Dafa. A criminal inmate said, "Now we have orders from higher up to beat them (practitioners) anyway we want." Then they started a round of unrestrained violence against Zuo Zhongyou. After long-term abuse and persecution, he suffered a great deal of physical and mental trauma. His heart, lungs and kidneys deteriorated and he suffered brain damage. Zuo Zhongyou passed away on May 29th, 2006.
