  • Ms. Lu Guiling from Weihai City, Shandong Province, Brutally Persecuted

    Ms. Lu Guiling, 48, was arrested and brutally persecuted repeatedly because she distributed leaflets exposing the persecution of Falun Gong to the public. On November 12th, 2008, she was arrested at her home by police. Ms. Lu was subsequently sentenced to 19 years in prison. She is currently in the Shandong Province Women's Prison and being subjected to brutal persecution.
  • Older Practitioner Ms. Xu Yanling Tortured in Wuchang City Prison, Heilongjiang Province

    Ms. Xu Yanling is a 51-year-old Falun Gong practitioner. From day one of practising Falun Gong, she adhered to the principles of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," followed high moral standards and always thought of others first with anything she did or said. Nonetheless, a nice person like Ms. Yu was tortured by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). She is no longer paid for work performed, has been arrested three times, and imprisoned and tortured. The persecution of Ms. Xu has also affected her elderly parents. Her mother became sick from worry and her father has aged considerably.
  • Calling for the Immediate Release of Mr. Yao Tiebin and Ms. Zhang Fengrong

    On July 14th, police arrested Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Yao Tiebin and his wife Ms. Zhang Fengrong. They stole 13,000 yuan in cash, a gold necklace, gold ring and a pair of gold earrings from the couple. To cover up their crime, without allowing the couple to read the pre-written statement they had brought, the officers forced the couple to sign it and put their fingerprint on it. When the couple refused to cooperate with this unreasonable demand, the police brutally beat them. The police used this fabricated statement as their "evidence" to persecute the couple. On November 21st, 2008, the trial was held in the Nongken Court.
  • The Persecution of Practitioner Couple Lu Yaobin and Zhao Chunjie and Their Daughters from Gongzhuling City

    Falun Gong practitioner Lu Yaobin and his wife Zhao Chunjie were arrested on October 22nd, 2008. Ms. Zhao Chunjie has been detained for nearly 50 days. She is weak and thin, and is bedridden due to mistreatment in the detention centre. Mr. Lu Yaobin has been released, but the police attempted to arrest him again. He now has to stay away from home to avoid further persecution and arrest. The police beat Mr. Lu Yaobin in front of a crowd of several dozens of people before arresting and taking him away. They also brutally beat him during their interrogation, which caused him to be unable to work or to take care of his daughters after he was released.
  • Authorities of Dayangshu Town in Hulunbuir Prefecture Launched Another Round of Arrests in November

    At about 3 p.m. on November 19th, 2008, authorities from Dayangshu Town dispatched 9 police cars and nearly 30 police officers to carry out a premeditated plan to search the homes of nine practitioners and arrest them. Police officers were heavily armed. The police searched their homes and arrested the practitioners. Elderly and disabled family members were upset and frightened by the incident.
  • Two Elderly Practitioners Ms. Zhang Guiyun from Heilongjiang Province and Mr. Li Hongxi from Hebei Province Die under Persecution

    On May 7th, 2008, Xushui County Domestic Security agents intruded into 67-year-old Mr. Li Hongxi's home. They ransacked his place and took his possessions worth 1000 yuan. He was arrested later at his workplace. The police detained Mr. Li for 11 days in the Xushui County Detention Centre. They harmed him both physically and mentally when they tried to take him to the Baoding City Forced Labour Camp. He appeared absent minded after that. He had symptoms of a bloated stomach and fluid accumulation around the liver. He never recovered and died on November 25th, 2008.
  • Ms. Zhang Yukun Severely Tortured and Driven into Homelessness by the Persecution

    Since July 20th, 1999, 49-year-old Ms. Zhang Yukun has suffered from persistent persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Her husband was coerced by CCP officials into divorcing her. She was detained, force-fed and tortured in various ways and imprisoned in a forced labour camp. She remains homeless in order to escape severe persecution. In 2004, police broke into Zhang Yukun's home and took her to a brainwashing centre. They had Ms. Zhang's arms stretched out and handcuffed between two beds. Then tortured her mercilessly both physically and mentally. An officer cursed her and viciously hit her with a plastic pipe that was two inches in diameter until late in the night.
  • Mr. Wang Song from Jurong, Jiangsu Province is Critically Ill at the Fangqiang Forced Labour Camp

    Mr. Wang Song was taken away on May 20th, 2008 by Chinese Communist Party authorities. He has been detained in the Fangqiang Forced Labour Camp in Dafeng, Jiangsu Province for six months, and has been tortured to the point of paralysis. He can no longer walk normally. On November 3rd, 2008, doctors at the People's Hospital of Yancheng City examined him using NMR and other tests, and found he had high blood pressure, a slow heartbeat and problems with his nervous system. However, they could not give a proper diagnosis, and called it a "strange illness." Camp officials refuse to release him.
  • Practitioner Mr. Tan Weichang Persecuted in Sihui City Prison in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province

    Mr. Tan Weichang, 37, Falun Gong practitioner, was jailed in Sihui Prison on November 6th, 2008. Prior to that, he had already been imprisoned for more than a year, and during that period judiciary authorities reviewed his case twice. When he was arrested by police in September 2007 they ransacked his home and stole belongings amounting to about 10,000 yuan. On November 8th, 2008, they made an official decision to sentence him to three years of imprisonment without any public court session.
  • Diaobingshan City Police Severely Persecuting Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Hu Ying - Additional Information

    Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Hu Ying currently detained at the Diaobingshan City Detention Centre. She is currently very weak. The prison doctor has brutally tortured Ms. Hu Ying in an attempt to force her to end her protest hunger strike. While in detention, Ms. Hu Ying suffered from kidney failure, and had difficulty urinating. The guards did not care and did nothing to help her. She was in such agony that in her pain, she struck her head on the wall and screamed out so loudly that everybody in the centre heard her.
  • Facilities in Guizhou Province Designed to Torture Falun Gong Practitioners

    Many practitioners are incarcerated in The Zunyi City No. 2 Detention Centre in Guizhou Province. On the surface this detention centre looks "serene and peaceful with birds and flowers." Inside, however, many practitioners are being inhumanely abused with many vicious methods of torture. I witnessed practitioners being stripped and body searched, put in handcuffs and shackles, and their clothes cut up. The abusers splashed cold water on them and secretly took their pictures. Practitioners were monitored around the clock, interrogated, force-fed, and forcefully injected with unknown drugs that damage the nervous system. The guards used criminal inmates to beat practitioners and verbally abuse them.
  • Mo'erdaoga Forest Police Department Persecutes Practitioners in Inner Mongolia

    Practitioner Ms. Wang Shuwen, 62, has been harassed many times by police officers. On May 30th, 2002, eight or nine officers from the Mo'erdaoga Forest Police Department arrested Ms. Wang, searched her home, and confiscated many Falun Gong books. Ms. Wang was detained for two months. While she was in detention, officers went to her home, and harassed and threatened her family. In May 2008, approximately six officers searched Ms. Wang's home. In August, Mo'erdaoga Police Station officers harassed Ms. Wang at home. In September, once again officers from the Mo'erdaoga Police Station harassed her.
  • Ms. Xu Wenxiu from Yuzhong District, Chongqing City Persecuted During the Beijing Olympic Games

    On July 26th, 2008, police went to the home of Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Xu Wenxiu and demanded that she not go out during the Beijing Olympic Games. On the morning of August 1st, Ms. Xu was arrested simply because she went out to buy stamps. The police also searched her home. On August 4th, police took Ms. Xu to the "Training Centre" in Nanan District for brainwashing. She was held until October 6th. Due to persecution in the brainwashing centre, Ms. Xu Wenxiu's legs became painfully swollen, and her hands and feet can no longer perform basic movements. The police station and neighbourhood committee also dispatched people to engage in long-term surveillance of Ms. Xu's home.
  • Ms. Liu Xiaolian's Death a Premeditated Act of Murder by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)

    This article describes how Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu Xiaolian's death was a premeditated act of murder, rather than a "death-as-a-result-of-torture" incident. While she was imprisoned, Ms. Liu suffered numerous hardships, including being subjected to a brutal torture method called, "Five Horses Splitting a Body." She was also beaten with metal shackles, injected with poison, force-fed poisonous pills, shocked with high-voltage electric batons and needles, and humiliated by male prisoners. Ms. Liu died on October 26th, 2008, at the age of 68.
  • Mr. Jin Wenhua from Luquan City Subjected to Forced Labour

    In July 1999, the Chinese Communist regime started the persecution of Falun Gong. In order to let more people understand the truth about Falun Gong, Mr. Jin Wenhua, 39, went to the Luquan City Party Committee Office to appeal. The female deputy county head, Song Juyun, and ten other officers met with them. Due to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s high pressure policy, nobody dared to treat them justly. Officers from the Dahe Township Police Station arrested Jin Wenhua. After they were released, the police harassed and detained Mr. Jin many times. On July 14th, 2008, police arrested Mr. Jin again. Mr. Jin Wenhua is now in the Shijiazhuang Forced Labour Camp.
