Tragic Fall Leads to Female Falun Gong Practitioner's Death Whilst Evading Unlawful Arrest

On October 8, 2003 at 10 p.m., eight policemen from the Chalukou Police Branch in the Hot Spring Development Area broke into her house without showing their badges and attempted to take her away, for no lawful reason and without following a legal process. Xu Yufeng locked herself in her room, but the police pressured her family to unlock the door. When she tried to escape from her sixth floor window by sliding down on a long strip of cloth, she tragically fell to the ground and died. -

2003-11-02Liu Congmei was illegally held at the Shandong Women's Forced Labour Camp for 8 months. The prison authorities beat and tortured him into a critical condition and Mr. Liu Chengjun is on the verge of death. The authorities sent him into the Comprehensive Unit of the City Central Hospital for emergency treatment. Liu Chengjun is in unconscious condition at the hospital. -

Practitioner Ms. Guo Songmei Dies of Torture Received in the Harbin Women's Prison
2003-10-30While being detained in Division Nine of the Harbin Women's Prison, she was subjected to brutal torture. As a result, her whole body was swollen and her lungs were badly bruised and abraded because of long-term force-feeding. In order to shirk responsibility for her rapidly declining condition, the prison released her on March 6, 2003. On May 8, not long after her return home, Guo Songmei sadly passed away. -
