Bombarded with propaganda in an isolated environment over a long period of time and forcefully brainwashed constantly, it is difficult to retain one's ability to judge issues with rationality. Because I did not waver, they forced me into the psychiatric unit in Zhuzhou City's Second hospital. They tied my four limbs onto the bed, and injected me with toxic drugs. They did not give me food or water, or allow me to use the toilet; I had to excrete in the bed. Soon, I was groggy and oblivious of my surroundings.

  This kind of "forced reform" is very cruel. After forcing Dafa practitioners to say something against their wills, their words are used in propaganda to defame Dafa and mislead other people. One incentive used by Jiang Zemin's regime is to reward police officers with 1000 Yuan for each practitioner they "reform." Under such instigation, some police officers exhibit heartless and inhuman behaviour.

When a heartless officer of the Education Office saw that practitioner Yang Wenbin was suffering tremendous pain from the hanging, he said, "The purpose of being handcuffed and hung is to treat your disease." The other officer even said, "This place is a dictatorship. No laws or discussion about laws exists here."

• Police and Criminals Force Feed Female Dafa Practitioners causing Violent Death

  She went on hunger strikes as her only recourse to protest the unjust persecution. On September 16, 2003, she died while being violently force-fed by police officers and criminals. Eyewitnesses have confirmed Ms. Duan's brutal death as a result of the force-feeding. She had committed no crime and yet was treated worse than the basest criminal, just because she believed in Truth - Compassion - Tolerance.

  They could not find any place to insert the needle. Also, the blood vessels in my legs collapsed, and the blood could not circulate properly. Even though I was covered in bruises, the nurse still said, "No problem." When the insertion of the IV needle felt like a knife digging into my flesh, they would find another place on my body to insert the needle. Some nurses said to me: "If you pull the tube out again, we will immediately put it back. If you pull out the needle, we will reinsert it straight away." All the torture was aimed at forcing me to stop my hunger strike, which I had undertaken to resist the unjust persecution.

  Because he refused to submit to the evil authorities, he was brutally tortured at the camp. As a result, he developed scabies all over his body, from his neck to his ankles. He was so emaciated that he couldn't even sit straight. The police forced all practitioners, including Zhou Jingsen, to sit during the day, not allowing them to make any move. Oftentimes Zhou Jingsen fell and other people had to get him up. Even so, the police still wouldn't release him.

The guards would yell, "Whoever resists the transformation [brainwashing] will be beaten up! This is the place that administers the wishes of the dictatorship. We are not afraid that you do not give in." Each time the beatings were reported to the labour camp director or higher government officials, they would always say, "Ah! The guards are just of such low quality. Would anybody with good character come to work in a labour camp?"

  During the illegal detention of Dafa practitioner Yu Yumei, she was interrogated by agents of the director of Harbin Public Security Bureau Zhao Guang. She was taken away blindfolded to a quiet and remote location and placed into a room full of torture devices. Many Dafa practitioners had been kept there previously. She was chained to the floor with torture devices for ten days and nights, and not allowed to sleep.
