Dafa Practitioner Ms. Zhou Caixia from Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is Tortured to Death
2003-11-10Ms. Zhou maintained her steadfast belief in Falun Dafa despite brutal beatings, shocking from electric batons, and many other forms of atrocious torture inflicted by Luo, Captain of the disciplinary guards, Ma, Na, and Yang in the Women's 2nd Squadron...In July 2003, Ms. Zhou was transferred to Baoanzhao Prison in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. A few days later she died from the injuries caused by the torture she had endured. The details about how Ms. Zhou was persecuted in 2003 are yet to be investigated. -
"610 Office" Sabotage Dafa practitioners' Funeral Ceremony
2003-11-10After Duan Shiqiong from Chongqing City died at the Chengdu Detention Centre, officials from the Political and Judiciary Committee and the "610 Office" in Chongqing City feared that her husband Wang Zhihai, also a steadfast Dafa practitioner, would make her death known to the public and post it on Dafa website's. They tailed her husband everywhere, and together with a large number of police officers from the National Security Department, they brazenly prevented her family members from holding a funeral for her. -
Outstanding Teacher from Describes How She Has Been Persecuted
2003-11-10After the illegal labour reform forced on me since July 2000 ended, I went to the school and asked for my job back. I said to the principal: "I am a working teacher and the classroom is my work place. I did not do anything wrong by practicing truthfulness, compassion and forbearance. Why won't you let me come back to work?" The principal got very mad at me, "Even now you still think this way, how can you come back to work?!"...I found the secretary and asked him for my job back. The secretary told me the school does need a teacher like me, but I would have to write a guarantee letter saying that I will never practise Falun Gong again. I refused immediately -
Dafa Practitioner Ms. Zhou Liangzhu Dies as Result of Torture at Maojiashan Female Labour Camp
2003-11-09They had planned to detain her there for three years, but a physical exam at the labour camp discovered that Zhou Liangzhu could barely stand up. Afraid that she might die, the labour camp authorities called the local "610 Office," her work unit and her family to take her home on December 12, 2002. Because the injuries she sustained from the brutal tortures at the camp and at brainwashing class were too severe, sadly Zhou Liangzhu was never able to recover, and passed away at 11:20 p.m. on October 17, 2003. Zhaoyuan Police Refuse to Release Female Dafa Practitioner Despite Being in a Life-Threatening Condition
2003-11-09While being detained, in order to protest, she went on a hunger strike, which has now lasted more than a month and is still going on. The vicious detention centre guards brutally force-fed her. According to people who know the details, even the guards could no longer force-feed her due to her extremely poor physical health. Recently, Mrs. Fu was sent to an emergency room in Zhaoyuan People's Hospital. She has become extremely thin from the torture, and is now in a life-threatening condition. The police still refuse to release her, and instead, several of them stay at the hospital to keep an eye on her everyday inspite of the fact that she is very sick. -
Lives in Danger at the Dehui City Detention Centre
2003-11-09Reports have come from the Dehui City Detention Centre in Jilin Province that the Dafa practitioners being detained there have been on a hunger strike for over ten days. They have been subjected to persecution of different degrees, and some of their lives are in danger....We appeal for help to secure the release of these practitioners, who are being tortured on a daily basis at the Dehui City Detention Centre. -

Corpse of Shanghai Dafa Practitioner Beyond Recongition Following Torture
2003-11-08On October 16, 2003, Lu Xingguo's wife, daughter, and elder brother were suddenly summoned to the Qingpu Drug Rehabilitation Centre. As soon as they arrived there, they were separated and sent to different rooms where dozens of police conducted a so-called "talk" with them, when in fact, the police were intimidating them. Only then did the family learn that Lu Xingguo had died. Yet the callous police deceived the family by claiming that he died of some illness. They did not allow the family to check the body. -
Practitioner Ms Lu Xiufang Callously Released from Jinan Women's Prison only To Die Two Hours Later at Home
2003-11-08Ms. Lu Xiufang was very determined in continuing her cultivating in Falun Dafa despite the torture she suffered at the hands of the police. On July 21, 2003 Ms. Lu was barely breathing when she was brought home from the Jinan Women's Prison. According to a reliable source, her whole body, including her head, was terribly swollen, and she was covered with injuries. She could not stand or sit on her own and she was a terrible sight to behold. She sadly died within less than two hours after arriving at home. -
On First Day of Detention in Hehuakeng Labour Camp Dafa Practitioner Meng Jincheng Beaten to Death
2003-11-08It was later confirmed that Meng Jincheng died the same day. That night, the captain of the labour camp did not go home. The second day (the 8th) was a visitation day. Chen Fu cooked up a document claiming that Meng Jincheng died of a certain illness. Later Meng Jincheng's body was cremated before his family could get a chance to take a look at it. After cremation, the corrupt labour camp even asked his family to pay 20,000 Yuan for his medical expenses. -
Dafa Practitioner's Wife Tortured to Death, and He Was Illegally Detained in Huludao Forced Labour Camp Three Times
2003-11-08Electric prods are the kind of torture instrument used most on Dafa practitioners. Bolstered by Jiang Zemin's order of "Claim they have committed suicide if they are beaten to death" and driven by a distorted sense of duty, in order to have practitioners give up their belief some policemen treated it as fun to torture Dafa practitioners and to see the misery of practitioners subjected to police tortures. Sometimes they used up to six or seven prods to deal with one practitioner. Even older ladies and unmarried girls were not spared. A prod with over 10,000 volts of electricity burns a blister or a black spot on the human body even when it just slightly touches the skin. Under the influence of an electric current, human muscles twitch and limbs jerk uncontrollably. -
Dafa Practitioner Passes Away Due to Extreme Mental and Physical Torture by Police
2003-11-07One man from the Qitaihe City "610 Office" confirmed Zheng Libo's death. He said that Zheng Libo died of sickness, but he refused to explain how she could have died of sickness only two days after being brought to the Police Station. He said, "Okay, Okay," then hung up the phone. Usually, if Falun Dafa practitioners are beaten to death, the "610 Office" and police all say the death was caused by sickness. -
An Account of the Brutal Torture Methods Used Against Dafa Practitioners in Changlinzi Labour Camp
2003-11-07Thee director of the fifth team (the forced-brainwashing team), Zhao Shuang, ruthlessly tortures practitioners. He has been nicknamed "Slapper Zhao" because he often beats up practitioners. He incites inmates and police to torture practitioners with unspeakable methods...Yang Yu, who used to be the former Assistant Director of the Office of Education, was promoted to the director of the fourth team because he brutally tortured practitioners. Along with police officer Hao Wei, they insult and body search practitioners at will. -
Dafa Practitioners Who Tried to Appeal Through Legal Channels are Tortured and Murdered
2003-11-07Later, team leader Jia Weijun said during a meeting, "You guys make trouble [He calls practitioner's legal appeals as making trouble]. I will make up evidence to report to the higher ups. I would say that I am fulfilling Jiang's order to crack down on you financially." As a result, Dafa practitioners who were detained in Fuyu Labour Camp were arbitrarily persecuted for their legal appeals, and two out of the four who were sent to detention centres have been mercilessly tortured to death.
